NICHOLAS J. AMENDOLA, 54, of Keyport died April 12 at home. Born in Newark, he was a lifelong resident of Keyport. Mr. Amendola was a machinist foreman at the Star Ledger, Montville, for 14 years. He served with the U.S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. He was a communicant of St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, Keyport. He was predeceased by his parents, Nicholas and Mary Amendola. He is survived by his wife, Joan D. Amendola of Keyport; two daughters and sons-in-law, Lisa and Joseph Riggo of Keyport, and Nicole and Justin Kirsch of New York City; his sister-in-law, Joanne Longobardi; his brother-in-law, Carmine Longobardi; one granddaughter; and several aunts and uncles. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered April 16 at 9:15 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, Keyport. Interment will follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Keyport.

ELSIE MARY BURDICK, 96, of Matawan died April 12 at Bayshore Health Center, Holmdel. Born in New York City, she resided in Athens, Ga., before moving to Matawan 24 years ago. Mrs. Burdick was an assistant to the chief accountant for the State of New Jersey for 22 years, retiring in 1975. She was a member of Gethsemane Lutheran Church, Keyport, and a member of the Cheesequake Seniors. Mrs. Burdick was predeceased by her husband, Harry Burdick, in 1977. She is survived by her daughter, June Falco of Aberdeen; two sons, John Thoden of Delaware and Donald Burdick of Hartwell, Ga.; her sister, Alma Belben of Patchogue, N.Y.; eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter. A funeral service will be held April 16 at 11 a.m. at Day Funeral Home, Keyport. Interment will follow at Monmouth Memorial Park, Neptune.

FAITH M. TROMER OLIVER, 78, of Middletown died April 14 at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank. Born in Staten Island, N.Y., she resided there before moving to Middletown 36 years ago. She was a communicant of St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, New Monmouth section of Middletown. She was predeceased by her husband, William Oliver, in 1994. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, William T. and Jeane Oliver Jr. of Middletown; her daughter, Judy Levesque of Middletown; her brother, Albert Tromer of Oceanview; her sister, Florence Campbell of Staten Island; and three grandchildren. A funeral liturgy will be held April 16 at 9:30 a.m. at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, New Monmouth. Burial will follow at Fair View Cemetery, Middletown. Memorial donations may be made to Middletown Helps Its Own, Carter Avenue, Middletown, 07748.

SANTA MANASIA RIGGIO, 103, of Aberdeen died April 13 at home. Born in Sicily, Italy, she resided in Newark prior to moving to Aberdeen 50 years ago. Mrs. Riggio was a homemaker. She was a communicant of St. Clement’s Roman Catholic Church, Matawan, and a member of the Sons of Italy, Newark. She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph Riggio, in 1969. Mrs. Riggio is survived by three sons, Anthony Riggio of Aberdeen, Frank Riggio of Parsippany, and Vincent Riggio of Aberdeen; her daughter, Rosaria Riggio of Aberdeen; 14 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered April 16 at 11 a.m. at St. Clement’s Roman Catholic Church, Matawan. Interment will follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Keyport.

MARY "JAY" O’SHAUGHNESSY, 63, of Hazlet died April 7 at Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel. Born in New York City, she resided in the Bronx, N.Y., prior to moving to Hazlet 31 years ago. Mrs. O’Shaughnessy was a customer service representative at Pathmark, Hazlet, for 25 years, retiring in 1998. She was a parishioner of Holy Family Roman Catholic Church, Union Beach. She was predeceased by her husband, Donald O’Shaughnessy, in 2002. She is survived by her daughter, Mandy O’Shaughnessy of Hazlet; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Donald O’Shaughnessy of Hazlet, and Brian and Hillary O’Shaughnessy of the Oakhurst section of Ocean Township; and one granddaughter. A Mass of Christian Burial was offered at Holy Family Roman Catholic Church, Union Beach.

LAWRENCE ""LONNIE" LARITY, 72, of the West Keansburg section of Hazlet, died April 13 at Arnold Walter Nursing Home, Holmdel. Born in Jersey City, he lived in Hoboken prior to moving to West Keansburg 38 years ago. Mr. Larity was a truck driver for Holmes Transportation, Carlstadt, for 32 years, retiring in 1988. He was a member of Teamsters Union Local No. 560, Union City. He was predeceased by a son, Lonnie Larity, in 1998. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Helen Bache Larity of West Keansburg; a son, Kenneth Larity of West Keansburg; a daughter and son-in-law, Lorraine and Larry Medich of the New Monmouth section of Middletown; and two grandsons. A funeral liturgy was offered at St. Ann’s Roman Catholic Church, Keansburg. Burial was at Bay View Cemetery, Leonardo section of Middletown.

GAVIN ANTHONY REA, 12 days of age, Eatontown, died April 5 at Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch. Gavin was born in Long Branch. He was predeceased by his twin brother, Owen Anthony Rea, on March 24. He is survived by his parents, Anthony and Courtney Stahl Rea of Eatontown; his maternal grandparents, John and Leslie Stahl of Eatontown; his paternal grandparents, Shelia and John Brennan of Killarney, Ireland, and James Rea of Ireland; three aunts and one uncle, Ivey and John Bettigole of the Lincroft section of Middletown, Michele and Martin Spellman of Ireland, and Lauren Stahl of Eatontown; and five cousins.

JOHN C. MUNDORFF, 74, of Hazlet died April 7 at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank. Born in Richmond, Va., he resided in New York City before moving to Hazlet 43 years ago. Mr. Mundorff was a records manager for FMC Corp., Philadelphia, for 44 years, retiring in 1990. He served with the U.S. Navy. He was a parishioner of St. Mary the Virgin Roman Catholic Church, Keyport. He was a former member of the Hazlet Board of Health, a former auxiliary policeman for four years in Hazlet, and a Scoutmaster for Troop 139, Hazlet. Mr. Mundorff is survived by his wife, Muriel Mundorff of Hazlet; his daughter and son-in-law, Pamela and Richard Maliszewski of Belleville; three sons and daughters-in-law, Stephen and Deborah Mundorff, and Donald and Lisa Mundorff, all of Spotswood, and Jeffrey and Sandra Mundorff of Hazlet; and 10 grandchildren. A funeral liturgy was offered at St. Mary the Virgin Roman Catholic Church, Keyport.

FRANK E. MIRRO JR., 79, of Holmdel died April 8 at Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel, after a battle with cancer. Born in Kearny, he resided in Union Beach before moving to Holmdel 34 years ago. Mr. Mirro was a retired carpenter for Local 2250, Red Bank. He was a communicant of Holy Family Roman Catholic Church, Union Beach. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a former Boy Scout leader of Troop 56 and a former Explorer leader in Union Beach, and was an avid fisherman and hunter. Mr. Mirro was predeceased by a brother, Jack Mirro. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Phyllis Trignano Mirro of Holmdel; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Suellen and Robert Dowens of Holmdel, Cynthia Mirro and Joseph Duley of Middletown, and Claudia Mirro of Holmdel; two brothers, Alfred Mirro of Hazlet and Robert Mirro of Colts Neck; his sister, Alice Brown of Tucson, Ariz.; and six grandchildren. A funeral liturgy was offered at Holy Family Roman Catholic Church, Union Beach. Burial was at Mount Olivet Cemetery, Middletown.

OLGA HOPEY URBANOWICZ, 79, of Union Beach died April 8 at home. Born in Scranton, Pa., she resided in Tampa, Fla., before moving to Union Beach two years ago. Mrs. Urbanowicz was a seamstress at Lady Jane, Mount Carmel, Pa., before her retirement. She was predeceased by her husband, John Urbanowicz, in 2001. She is survived by her daughter, Gertrude Pinto of Union Beach; her son, John F. Urbanowicz of Union Beach; four sisters, Stashia Hopey of Atlas, Pa.; Anna Smith of Danville, Pa.; Eleanor Blake of Sherrill, N.Y.; and Mary Perski of Middletown; four grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
