JOSEPH "COWBOY" RANALLO, 58, of Matawan died Dec. 22 at Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel. Born in Princeton, he resided in Nutley before moving to Matawan two years ago. Mr. Ranallo was a network engineer at Citibank, East Rutherford, for more than 20 years, retiring in 2000. He served with the U.S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. He was predeceased by his parents, Eleanor and Joseph Ranallo Sr. Mr. Ranallo is survived by his companion, Hannelore De Angelo of Matawan; two daughters, Leeann Ranallo and Amber Ostermann of Winnipeg, Canada; a sister and brother-in-law, Catherine and Jack Morris of Ewing Township; two brothers, David Ranallo of Ewing Township and James Ranallo of Crystal River, Fla.; a grandson; one nephew; and two nieces. Burial was at Holmdel Cemetery.
CONCESA GONZALEZ, 85, of West New York died Dec. 23 at Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel. Born in Puerto Rico, she had been a resident of West New York for the past 18 years. Mrs. Gonzalez was a communicant of Our Lady of Fatima Church and a member of the Golden Age Club, both North Bergen. She was predeceased by her husband, Juan Gonzalez, in 1979. Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Claudio and Lillian Gonzalez of Manalapan; a daughter and son-in-law, Cathy and Mark Wolferman of Hazlet; two sisters, Gladys DeJesus and Ana Rivera; two brothers, Edwin DeJesus and Edward DeJesus; and five granddaughters. Interment
was in Puerto Rico National Cemetery, Bayamon, Puerto Rico.
LOUIS S. GUERRIERI, 68, of Port Richey, Fla., died Dec. 26 at Regional Medical Center, Hudson, Fla. Born in Orange, he resided in the Belford section of Middletown before moving to Port Richey 13 years ago. Mr. Guerrieri was a self-employed contractor in Belford from 1956 until his retirement in 1986. He served with the U.S. Navy during the Korean War and in World War II in the Pacific theater, serving as chief petty officer and cook. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Knights of Columbus of Port Richey; the Pasco Italian American Civic Club, Hudson, Fla.; and the Italian American Club, Hazlet. He is survived by his wife, Erminda Rossi Guerrieri; two sons, Michael Guerrieri of Old Forge, N.Y., and James Guerrieri of Middletown; three daughters, Luanne Trpisovsky of the Leonardo section of Middletown, Gina Garrison of Middletown, and Christine Di Padova of Staten Island, N.Y.; two brothers, James Guerrieri of Panama City, Fla., and Joseph Guerrieri of Port Richey; a sister, Ursilina Feuherer of California; 15 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. A funeral liturgy was offered at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, New Monmouth section of Middletown. Entombment was at Fair View Mausoleum, Middletown.
LUCY MARZOCCA, 32, of Union Beach died Dec. 26 at Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel. Born in Jersey City, she resided in Hazlet before moving to Union Beach 12 years ago. She was a dental technician at Elice Dental Associates, Hazlet, for four years. She is survived by her parents, Maria DeTullio-Marzocca and Peter Marzocca of Hazlet; her daughter and son, Kristina Bushey and Peter Bushey, both of Union Beach; and her brother and sister, Vincent Marzocca of and Susanna Marzocca, both of Hazlet. A Mass of Christian Burial was offered at Holy Family Roman Catholic Church, Union Beach. Interment

PETER A. FISCHLER SR., 89, of Keyport died Dec. 27 at Victoria Health Care, Matawan. Born in Matawan, he had resided in Keyport for 80 years before moving to Matawan. Mr. Fischler was a meat cutter at Star Beef, Keyport, before his retirement. He served with the U.S. Army during World War II. He was an avid bowler. Mr. Fischler was predeceased by his wife, Anna R. Fischler, in 1979; and a brother, William Fischler. He is survived by two sons, Peter A. Fischler Jr. of Whiting and Andrew J. Fischler of Keyport; three daughters, Nina Jeandron and MaryAnne Fischler, both of Keyport, and Nancy Calati of the Morganville section of Marlboro; two brothers, Joseph Fischler and Frank Fischler, both of Keyport; three sisters, Helen Pitonak of Keyport, Barbara Basko of Hazlet, and Ann Kulas of Old Bridge; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial was offered at St. Joseph’s Church, Keyport, followed by interment at Old Tennent Cemetery, Manalapan.
EILEEN C. SEABROOKE GALE, 85, of Middletown died Dec. 27 at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank. Born in Staten Island, N.Y., she resided there before moving to Middletown 25 years ago. Mrs. Gale was employed in the mail room at Chase Bank, New York City, for 26 years, retiring in 1973. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Eileen and Richard Reilly of the Port Monmouth section of Middletown; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. A funeral liturgy was offered at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, New Monmouth section of Middletown. Entombment was at Woodbridge Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.
MARY NIMMO SANSONE, 73, of Port St. Lucie, Fla., died Dec. 29 at The Hospice Residence, Stuart, Fla. Born in Scranton, Pa., she resided in Old Bridge before moving to Port St. Lucie one year ago. She was a member of St. Bernadette’s Roman Catholic Church, Old Bridge; and a former member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Benevolent Protective Order of Elks Lodge No. 2229, Old Bridge. She is survived by her husband, Joseph Sansone; two sons, James Sansone of Jackson and Joseph Sansone of Matawan; two daughters, Phyllis Stappert of Waretown and Janet Kane of Jackson; nine grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter. EDITH HAASE IRISH, 92, of Old Bridge died Nov. 12 at home. She began her teaching career in a two-room schoolhouse in the former Madison Township, now Old Bridge. Prior to her retirement in 1974, she was employed as a learning disability specialist for the Matawan Regional School District. Surviving are her husband, Ralph N.; a son, Donald Irish of Sussex; three daughters, Joan Weglarz of Monroe, Helen Carroll of Washington Crossing, Pa., and Edythe Monek of Bayville; 11 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren. A Mass was offered at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, Old Bridge. Interment

VICTOR G. BALAJTHY of East Brunswick died Nov. 29 in Edison. Prior to his retirement, he was a vending and amusement machine mechanic for 40 years with Eskin Corp., East Brunswick. His wife, Evelyn Stolte Balajthy, died in 1997. Surviving are a daughter, Barbara Ann Balajthy of East Brunswick, with whom he lived; a goddaughter, Mary Beth Schulmeister of Matawan; a sister, Aurelia Balajthy-Schulmeister, also of Matawan; three nieces, Charlotte Sutter of South River, Dorothy Balajthy-Strictland of Gardine, Maine, and Diane Sutter-Cowan of Grants Pass, Ore; and three nephews, Ernest Balajthy of Rochester, N.Y., Arthur Balajthy of Saylorsburg, Pa., and Charles Sutter Jr. of South River. RITA SILERTO DeANGELO, 75, of Hazlet died Dec. 16 at Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel. She was born in Jersey City. She was a homemaker. She was a member and past president of the Veterans of Foreign Wars No. 4247, Keyport, and also held office at the state and county levels. She was predeceased by her husband, Anthony P. DeAngelo in 1990; and two sons, Michael DeAngelo in 1958, and Mark DeAngelo in 2001. She is survived by three sons, Gary DeAngelo of Holmdel, Kevin DeAngelo of Indiana, and Darren DeAngelo of Keansburg; three daughters, Virginia DeFalco of the West Keansburg section of Hazlet, Kathryn Gormley of Voorhees, and Christine Neff of Cherry Hill; eight brothers and sisters; and 11 grandchildren. A funeral service was offered at St. John’s United Methodist Church, Hazlet. Interment
was at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington.
