BEATRICE GRAVATT, 88, of Oceanport died March 6 at home. She was born in Clarksburg, and was a graduate of Freehold High School. She was employed at Dainty Apparel, Asbury Park, for several years, retiring in 1982. She was predeceased by two husbands; four brothers, Paul, Carl, Art and Bill Gravatt; and her sister, Thelma. She is survived by two sisters, Olive G. Broege, Bradley Beach, and Barbara G. Forrester, Vienna, Va.; seven nephews; six nieces; and several grand-nephews and nieces. KATHLEEN M. NOLAN, 90, of Fair Haven died March 9 in Livingston. She was born in Brooklyn, N.Y. She was a homemaker and also employed at John J. Doody and Son, Brooklyn. She was a communicant of the Church of the Nativity, Fair Haven. She was predeceased by her husband, James P. Nolan in 1960; and two sons, Joseph Nolan in 1938, and Francis X. Nolan in 1987. She is survived by three sons, James G. Nolan of Far Rockaway, N.Y., John P. Nolan of Philadelphia, and the Rev. Jerome M. Nolan of Fair Haven; her daughter, Mary K. Scott of Annapolis, Md.; 10 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial was offered at the Church of the Nativity. Interment

PATRICIA J. MOSS, 78, of Cream Ridge died Sept. 3 at The Manor Care Center, Freehold Township. Born in Toronto, Ohio, she had lived in Groton, Conn., before moving to Cream Ridge in 1991. Mrs. Moss was an insurance representative with the Bailey Agency, Groton. She is survived by her husband, Thomas H. Moss Jr.; a son and daughter-in-law, Thomas H. III and Frances Moss of Fairfax, Va.; a daughter and son-in-law, Donna M. and James Ogle Jr. of Howell; a sister, Barbara Bottorf of Follansbee, W.Va.; and two grandchildren. Calling hours will be held Sunday, Sept. 14, 3-6 p.m. at the Tilghman Funeral Home, 52 Main St., New Egypt. NANCYE LILLIAN McLAUGHLIN, 56, of Freehold Township died Sept. 3 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Born in Elizabeth, she resided in Freehold for many years. She worked as a cashier for Freehold Raceway. She is survived by two sons, Jonathan McLaughlin of Freehold and Mark McLaughlin of Cream Ridge; two daughters, Robyn McLaughlin of South Amboy and Wendy McLaughlin of Hoboken; a brother, William Beute of Bernardsville; and one granddaughter. A memorial service was held at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, Colts Neck. Cremation was private.
GERALDINE D’AMBROSIO SPECCHIO, 72, of Union Beach died Aug. 31 at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank. Born in Jersey City, she resided in Union City prior to moving to Union Beach several years ago. Mrs. Specchio was a homemaker. She was a communicant of Holy Family Roman Catholic Church, Union Beach. She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph A. Specchio, in 1989; and a daughter, Sharon Specchio, in 1987. She is survived by three daughters, Sandra Case of the Belford section of Middletown, Debra Marcus of Millstone, and Donna Setterstrom of Union Beach; two sons, Joseph Specchio of Marlboro, and Phillip Specchio and Stephen Specchio, both of Union Beach; a brother, Anthony D’Ambrosio of Hasbrouck Heights; two sisters, Ann Kick of Ridgefield Park and Eleanor Ash of Hazlet; 11 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial was offered at Holy Family Church, followed by burial at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Keyport.
ANN M. CONWAY MACIEWICZ, 95, of Eatontown, died Aug. 14 at St. Barnabas Hospice, Long Branch. Born in Freehold, she resided in Shrewsbury for 40 years before moving to Eatontown. Mrs. Maciewicz was a homemaker. She was a communicant of St. James Roman Catholic Church, Red Bank, and St. Dorothea’s Roman Catholic Church, Eatontown. She was predeceased by her siblings, Agnes Martin, John Conway Sr., Ruth Riley and Jane Sherman. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Frank Maciewicz Sr.; two sons and daughters-in-law, Frank J. and Angela Maciewicz Jr. of Eatontown, and John E. and Jane Maciewicz of Heathrow, Fla.; a brother, James Conway of Florida; five grandchildren; and three great-grandsons. A Mass of Christian Burial was offered at St. Dorothea’s Roman Catholic Church, followed by interment at Woodbine Cemetery, Oceanport.
DAVID J. WALKER, 41, of Little Silver, died Aug. 18 at home. Born in Red Bank, he lived in Rumson and Shrewsbury prior to moving to Little Silver eight years ago. He was a real estate appraiser. His memberships included the Red Bank Elks, Monmouth County Realtor Association, and Appraisal Institute - National Organization. He enjoyed soccer and coached at various schools and Ocean Township Recreation and served as referee for the Monmouth County District. He was a graduate of Red Bank High School and Elmira College, New York. He was predeceased by a nephew, Kenneth L. Walker IV. He is survived by his parents, Lorraine and Kenneth L. Walker Jr. of Little Silver; his grandmother, Frances P. Walker of Hazlet; his brother, Kenneth L. and Michele Walker III of Brielle; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Kathleen and Alan Shatto of Okeechobee, Fla.; Suzanne and Stephen Barberio of Birmingham, Ala.; and Cindy and Robert Bumsted of Exeter, N.H.; five nephews; and four nieces. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Aug. 22 at 10 a.m. at St. James Roman Catholic Church, Red Bank. CHARLES W. DAALDER, 84, of Middletown, died Aug. 16 at New York University Medical Center, New York City. Born in Bayport, N.Y., he resided in Rego Park, N.Y., prior to moving to Middletown 20 years ago. Mr. Daalder was an engineer at New York Telephone Co., New York City, for 37 years, retiring in 1981. He served with the U.S. Marines during World War II, attaining the rank of staff sergeant. He was a member of the New York Telephone Pioneers of America, and the Knights of Columbus Mother Cabrini Council, Middle Village, N.Y. He served as a leader of Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts and Explorers, in Queens, N.Y. He was predeceased by his wife, Mary J. Malloy Daalder, in 2002. He is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Charles J. and Mary Daalder of Tinton Falls; two daughters and one son-in-law, Lorraine M. and Patrick Connolly of the Lincroft section of Middletown, and Mary Ellen Daalder of Middletown; and four grandchildren. The funeral liturgy was offered at St. Leo the Great Roman Catholic Church, Lincroft, followed by burial at Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Cemetery, Arnytown.
ELEANOR McGUE MILLHISER, 83, of Richmond, Va., died Aug. 7 at Memorial Regional Medical Center, Richmond. Born in Cleveland, Ohio, she resided in Richmond and Rumson prior to relocating to Richmond. She was a homemaker. She was a communicant of St. Paul’s Roman Catholic Church, Sacred Heart Cathedral and St. Bridget’s Church, all Richmond, and a former communicant of Holy Cross Church, Rumson. She was a corresponding secretary for the Holy Cross School P.T.A. Her volunteer activities included serving as coordinator for drivers of For I Shall Help (F.I.S.H.), Monmouth County; Lunch Break, Red Bank; and serving as corresponding secretary, vice president and executive board member of the Auxiliary for St. Vincent’s Hospital and Medical Center, New York City. Her memberships included the English Speaking Union and the New Jersey Historical Society. She enjoyed time with her family, and gardening. She was predeceased by two sisters, Mary Ann Brockenbrough and Patricia Walsh. She is survived by her husband, Ross Millhiser of Richmond, Va.; three sons, Ross Millhiser Jr. and Timothy McG. Millhiser, both New York City, and Thomas McN. Millhiser of Richmond; her daughter, Mary McGue Millhiser of Richmond; and eight grandchildren. FRANCIS X. MOORE, 70, of Holmdel, died Aug. 9 following injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He resided in Little Silver for 30 years, prior to moving to Holmdel three years ago. He was an attorney in Red Bank. Prior to that, he was employed at the F.B.I., and a patrolman and detective in the Intelligence Squad of the New York City Police Department while attending law school. He was a communicant of St. James Roman Catholic Church, Red Bank. He had defended clients in New Jersey Municipal, Superior, Federal and Supreme courts, as well as the New York court system. He was appointed as the New Jersey representative to the U.S. Senate Subcommittee on Investigations of Organized Crime, and as Deputy Attorney General in the State of New Jersey Criminal Division. He held memberships in the American, Federal, New Jersey State and Monmouth Bar Associations, as well as the American Trial Lawyers Association. He was a current trustee emeritus and trustee of the Friendly Sons of St. Patrick of the Jersey Shore, member and trustee of the 200 Club of Monmouth County and 200 Club of Ocean County, and member and past president of Kiwanis International, Lincroft section of Middletown; BPOE, Red Bank; and the Knights of Columbus, Fair Haven. He was also a member of the Honor Legion of Police, State of New Jersey, and Retired Patrolmen’s Association, and Detective’s Endowment Association, both New York City. He was proclaimed as a life member in Kingston’s National Registry of Who’s Who in 2002 and awarded the distinction of Most Influential Municipal Court Attorney in New Jersey by the New Jersey State Bar Association, Municipal Court Committee. He is recognized as a founding member of the National College for DUI Defense Inc., and served on its board of regents. He was also the first individual to be board certified by the College in 2000. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Harriett Rogers Moore of Holmdel; three daughters, Christine Moore of Rumson, Ann-Therese Moore of Middletown, and Tara Louise Moore of Holmdel; two sons, Francis X. Moore Jr. of Lincroft, and Timothy Rogers of Ann Arbor, Mich.; his sister, Ann Duffy of Lakewood; his brother, Gerald Moore of Rochester, N.Y.; and five grandchildren.
