Mr. Nolan, 40, of South Plainfield, formerly of Old Bridge, died Oct. 8 in Muhlenberg Regional Medical Center, Plainfield. Surviving are his wife, Vera Nolan; two daughters, Devynn Nicole Nolan and Giovanna Marie Nolan, both at home; his parents, James T. and Joanne Sirois Nolan of Old Bridge; a sister, Mary Beth Edwards of Alpharetta, Ga.; and a brother, Patrick F. Mrs. Bianchi, 90, of Old Bridge died Oct. 26 in Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge division. Her husband, Michael Bianchi, died in 1971. Surviving are two daughters, Rose Marie Cota of Old Bridge and Claire DeFede of East Brunswick; two sons, Michael Bianchi of Kearny and Michael Pica of Bloomfield; two brothers, Frank Pietropiello of Old Bridge and Anthony Pietropiello of the Toms River section of Dover; two sisters, Nancy Moscariello of Old Bridge and Ann Carpentier of Hillside; 10 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. Services are planned for 12:30 p.m. on Oct. 30 at Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home, Parlin section of Sayreville. Interment

Mrs. Christian, 85, of East Brunswick, formerly of South River, died Oct. 25 at the home of her granddaughter. Prior to her retirement in 1985, she was employed for 20 years with M&M Sportswear, South River. Her husband, John L. Christian, died in 1994; a son, Robert A. Christian, died in 1965; and a granddaughter, Constance Taylor, died in 1963. Surviving are two sons, John Jr. of Succasunna and Eugene of Old Bridge; a daughter, Carole A. Taylor of East Brunswick; two brothers, Valentine Lawnik and Karl Lawnick, both of South River; a sister, Jenny of St. Petersburg, Fla.; 12 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews. John J. Gorman
Mr. Gorman, 58, of Sayreville died Oct. 27 in Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. He was a member of Sayreville Engine Company No. 1, where he served as chief in 1993. Surviving are his wife, Nancy Hudak Gorman; two daughters, Deborah Hoffman of Manalapan and Donna Matos of the Parlin section of Sayreville; a son, John Michael Gorman of Flemington; a brother, Richard Gorman of Sayreville; five grandchildren; a niece and several nephews; and a godson. Services are planned for 10:30 a.m. on Oct. 30 at Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home, Parlin. Interment

Mrs. Poplowski, 89, of Sayreville died Oct. 22 at her son’s home in Somerville. Prior to her retirement in 1997, she was employed by the Sayreville Water Department for 20 years. Her husband, Joseph, died in 1965. Surviving are a son, Joseph of Somerville; a brother, Chester of Sayreville; a sister-in-law, Adele O’Such of Sayreville; and two granddaughters. Mrs. Sullivan, 83, of South Amboy died Oct. 22 in Old Bridge Manor. Prior to her retirement, she was employed as assistant manager at Amboy Madison Bank, Parlin section of Sayreville, where she worked for 15 years. Her husband, Thomas A. Sullivan, died in 1999. Surviving are two daughters, Laura May of Bradley Beach and Lynn Cooper of South Amboy; a brother, Edward Canlon of Staten Island, N.Y.; two sisters, June Haley of Staten Island and Imelda Scala of the Whiting section of Manchester; and six grandchildren. Theodore W. Irving Sr.
Mr. Irving, 84, of Clarksburg died Oct. 17 at home. Born in Cranbury, he was a retired truck driver for H.T. Jones in Freehold and had been a life member of the Millstone Fire Company. He was predeceased by his wife, Mildred Errickson Irving. Surviving are three sons and a daughter-in-law, Theodore Irving Jr. of Clarksburg, Andrew Irving of Lumberton, and Danny and Donna Irving; one daughter and son-in-law, Linda and James Sneddon of Jacobstown; a sister, Pauline Mortimer of East Windsor; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service was held at the Peppler Funeral Home, Allentown. Interment
followed at Cedar Hill Cemetery, Hightstown.

Mr. Catanzaro, 47, of Milltown died Oct. 24 in St. Peter’s University Hospital, New Brunswick. Surviving are his wife, Bea Christian Catanzaro; four children, Kelly Christian, Michael J. Catanzaro III and Casey Christian, all of Milltown, and Gerianne Catanzaro of Michigan; his parents, Nellie and Michael J. Catanzaro of Milltown; a brother, John of Milltown; two sisters, Debra Ann Wayne of North Brunswick and Cheryl Joann Bonham of Millstone; and several nieces and nephews.
