Anna C. Kehoe Cherney
Mrs. Cherney, 84, of the Parlin section of Sayreville died Oct. 12 at home. Surviving are her husband, Rudolph T. Cherney; five sons, Rudolph of Hazlet, Thomas A. and Michael J., both of the Toms River section of Dover, Frank P. of Warner Robins, Ga., and Robert J. of Sayreville; two daughters, Anna M. Brienza of Millstone and Theresa Brown of West Bridgewater, Mass.; a sister, Dolores Leonard of Tannersville, N.Y.; 23 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Services were held at Michael Hegarty Funeral Home, Old Bridge. Interment
was in Cloverleaf Park Cemetery, Woodbridge.
James P. Dolan
Mr. Dolan, 80, of Sayreville died Oct. 17 in Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge division. Prior to his retirement 18 years ago, he was employed as an electrical engineer with Okonite Cable Corp., North Brunswick. A former member of the Sayreville Board of Education and the Sayreville Borough Council, he served as Sayreville Tax Collector for many years. Surviving are his wife, Constance Makwinski Dolan; a son, James B. Dolan of Sayreville; three daughters, Dianne Veilleux of Belmar, Erin Dolan Wass of Loch Arbour and Jill E. Dolan of Hillsborough; four grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. A Mass was offered at Our Lady of Victories Church, Sayreville. Interment
was in New Calvary Cemetery, Parlin section of Sayreville.
Robert M. Veronsky
Mr. Veronsky, 68, of the Parlin section of Sayreville died Oct. 17 in Sayreville. Prior to his retirement in 1995, he was employed as a school psychologist by the Hazlet Board of Education, where he worked for 35 years. Surviving are his wife, Florence Bienkowski Veronsky; a son, Michael Robert Veronsky of the Somerset section of Franklin; a daughter, Patricia Pipas of East Windsor; a sister, Virginia Jenkins of California; and four grandchildren. A Mass was offered at St. Mary of Ostrabrama Church, South River. Interment
was in St. Mary’s Cemetery, East Brunswick.
John Armin Noe
Mr. Noe, 101, of Hazlet, formerly of the Parlin section of Sayreville, died Oct. 16 in Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel. He was predeceased his wife, Julia Kubeck Noe, in 1985, and by a son, Armin Noe. Surviving are a son, John J. Noe of Powhatan, Va. Arrangements were under the direction of Day Funeral Home, Keyport.
Justine Heffner
Mrs. Heffner, 48, of Sayreville died Oct. 14 at home. Surviving are two daughters, Holly Kriss of Sayreville and Emily Ernst of Monroe; a son, Joseph Heffner of Sayreville; a brother, Paul Koziol; and five grandchildren. Francis Swirk
Mr. Swirk, 72, of South River died Oct. 16 in Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. Prior to his retirement, he was employed for 20 years by the South River Parks Department. Before that, he worked for Phelps Dodge, South Brunswick. Surviving are his wife, Marlene Frenzel Swirk; a daughter, Diane Salko of Cream Ridge; a brother, William Swirk Jr. of Sayreville; and a grandson. Rosalie Pizzoloto Lichtman
Mrs. Lichtman, 80, of East Brunswick died Oct. 16 in Park Place Center, South Brunswick. Prior to her retirement in 1995, she was employed for 17 years by Bradlees, North Brunswick. Her husband, Sidney H. Lichtman, died in 2002. Surviving are three sons, Hank of North Brunswick, Robert of Wall and Howard of Monroe; a brother, Rosario Pizzoloto of the Toms River section of Dover; a brother-in-law, Herbert Lichtman of New York City; a sister-in-law, Yetta Lichtman of Davie, Fla.; five grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; and five step-great-grandchildren. A Mass was offered at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, Old Bridge. Entombment was in Woodbridge Memorial Gardens. Mr. LaRosa, 54, of South River died Oct. 13 at home. Surviving are his parents, Sal and Laura LaRosa of East Brunswick; a son, Todd LaRosa of Princeton; and two brothers, Matt LaRosa of San Diego and Frank LaRosa of East Brunswick. Graveside services were held at Chestnut Hill Cemetery, East Brunswick. Arrangements were under the direction of Rezem Funeral Home, East Brunswick.

Mrs. VanPell, 81, of the Parlin section of Sayreville died Oct. 11 in Raritan Bay Medical Center, Perth Amboy division. Surviving are her husband, Glenn VanPell; two sons, Glenn J. VanPell and Gerard VanPell, both of Parlin; a daughter, Dorothy Schaefer of Iowa; two sisters, Geraldine Moran of Long Beach Island and Dorothy Turnbull of Long Island, N.Y.; 10 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
