Santa A. Morrone
Mrs. Morrone, 87, of Sebring, Fla., died Dec. 4 at Central New Jersey Jewish Home for the Aged, Somerset. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., she resided in the Little Rocky Hill section of South Brunswick and in Brick Township before moving to Sebring in 1987. She was a seamstress at Pliar Garment Industries, Highland Park, where she was employed 35 years before her retirement. Mrs. Morrone was predeceased by her husband, Joseph W. Morrone, on Nov. 8; and a son, Fred V. Morrone, in the Sept. 11 attacks in New York City. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and Paul Freda of the Kendall Park section of South Brunswick; a daughter-in-law, Linda Morrone of Jupiter, Fla.; a sister, Rose Carvelli of Middle Village, N.Y.; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial was offered at St. Augustine of Canterbury Church, Kendall Park. Entombment was at Franklin Memorial Park Mausoleum. The Mather-Hodge Funeral Home, Princeton, was in charge of arrangements.
Patricia Dawn Wilgus Makwinski
Mrs. Makwinski, 66, of East Brunswick died Dec. 1 in St. Peter’s University Hospital, New Brunswick. Prior to her retirement in 2002, she was the credit manager for 20 years at Champion Container, Avenel section of Woodbridge. After retiring, she worked as an East Brunswick election poll worker for two years. Surviving are her husband, William Makwinski; a son, Mark of Cromwell, Conn.; three daughters, Kathy Newman and Dawn Young, both of East Brunswick, and Taryn Dalton of the Hamilton Square section of Hamilton; a sister, Suzanne Helen Wilgus of East Brunswick; and eight grandchildren. Services were held at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church, Spotswood. Interment
was in the church cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
Isabelle V. Russell Pucillo
Mrs. Pucillo, 84, of East Brunswick died Dec. 6 in Old Bridge Manor Nursing Home. Her husband, John P. Pucillo, died in 1974, and a son, John Pucillo, died in 1941. Surviving are two sons, Roger Pucillo of East Brunswick and Steven Pucillo of San Diego; a daughter, Jacqueline Calderone of Pipersville, Pa.; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren. A Mass was offered at St. Bartholomew’s Church, East Brunswick. Interment

Josephine Frances "Micki" Febinger
Mrs. Febinger, 79, of Helmetta, formerly of East Brunswick, died Nov. 28 at home. Surviving are three sons, Edward J. Febinger, with whom she lived, Gilbert L. Febinger of East Brunswick and Keith Febinger of Middlesex; two daughters, Jody Gamble of North Brunswick and Wilda Bleakley of Ewing; a sister, Elizabeth VanLiew of Goose Creek, S.C.; 15 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren; and Edward G. Febinger. A service was held at East Brunswick Baptist Church. Interment

Margaret G. Frech
Mrs. Frech, 89, of North Brunswick died Nov. 30 at St. Peter’s University Hospital, New Brunswick. Born in Austria, she resided in New Brunswick prior to moving to North Brunswick 22 years ago. She was a cafeteria worker at Middlesex General Hospital, New Brunswick, for 10 years before her retirement. Mrs. Frech is survived by her husband of 60 years, Anton Frech; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Katharina and Steve Haspel of Sayreville, Margaret Frech of North Brunswick, and Elvira and Dolph Schlamp of Germany; a son and daughter-in-law, Erwin and Erna Frech of East Brunswick; six grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Dec. 4 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at Selover Funeral Home, North Brunswick. A funeral service will be held Dec. 5 at 10 a.m. at the funeral home, followed by burial at Van Liew Cemetery, North Brunswick.
Andrew P. Coffaro
Mr. Coffaro, 84, of North Brunswick died Nov. 27 at St. Peter’s University Hospital, New Brunswick. Born in New Brunswick, he resided in North Brunswick for more than 50 years. He was a dock worker at Hermann Forwarding Co., South Brunswick, where he was employed for 12 years before retiring. Prior to that, he was a baker at Coffaro’s Pizzeria, New Brunswick, for several years. He served with the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was a communicant of St. Mary of Mount Virgin Roman Catholic Church, New Brunswick. He is survived by his wife, Santina M. Micale Coffaro, and two sons, Anthony S. Coffaro and Andrew J. Coffaro, all of North Brunswick; five grandchildren; and two great-grandsons. A Mass of Christian Burial was offered at St. Mary of Mount Virgin Roman Catholic Church. Burial was at St. Peter’s Cemetery, New Brunswick. The Selover Funeral Home, North Brunswick, was in charge of arrangements.
James R. Matt
Mr. Matt of North Brunswick died Nov. 29 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. Born in Detroit, he resided in Marquette, Mich., and Port Reading prior to moving to North Brunswick five years ago. He was a procurement manager at Metro Glass Co., Carteret. Prior to that, he was employed with several area glass businesses, and owned a restaurant in Woodbridge. He served with the U.S. Army during the Berlin crisis. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Carteret, and a former president and manager of the Babe Ruth League, Perth Amboy. He was predeceased by a sister, Judy Matt. He is survived by his wife, Mary Terefenko Matt of North Brunswick; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Michael and Jeanne Matt of Howell, and Gregory Matt of North Brunswick; two brothers-in-law, William and Michael Terefenko; and four grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial was offered at Our Lady of Peace Roman Catholic Church, North Brunswick. Arrangements were by Selover Funeral Home, North Brunswick. Entombment was at St. Gertrude’s Cemetery, Colonia.
Cosimo "Chubby" J. Zangara
Mr. Zangara, 71, of East Brunswick died Nov. 30 at St. Peter’s University Hospital, New Brunswick. Born in New Brunswick, he resided there before moving to East Brunswick 39 years ago. He was a sheet metal mechanic at Local No. 27, Sheet Metal Workers, Farmingdale, for several years, retiring nine years ago. He served with the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He was a communicant of St. Thomas the Apostle Roman Catholic Church, Old Bridge. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Claire Aaroe Zangara of East Brunswick; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Gary Zangara of Robbinsville, and Louis and Colleen of Upper St. Claire, Pa.; three brothers, Matthew Zangara of East Brunswick, Dominick Zangara of North Brunswick, and Joseph Zangara of Lawrenceville; two sisters, Mary Bonanne of North Brunswick, and Josephine Wadsworth of East Brunswick; and five grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial was offered at St. Thomas the Apostle Roman Catholic Church, Old Bridge. Arrangements were by The Brunswick Memorial Funeral Home, East Brunswick. Helen Chando Fritz
Mrs. Fritz, 88, of Ewing, formerly of South River, died Nov. 28 in Buckingham Care and Rehabilitation Center, Buckingham, Pa. Prior to her retirement in 1971, she was employed as office supervisor at the National Boy Scouts of America, North Brunswick, where she worked for 17 years. Her husband, Edward A. Fritz, died in 1987. Surviving are two sons, Walter J. Weber of Ann Arbor, Mich., and LeRoy C. Weber of Ewing; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Services were held at Maliszewski Funeral Home, South River. Interment
was in Washington Monumental Cemetery, South River.
