John Armin Noe
Mr. Noe, 101, of Hazlet died Oct. 16 at Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel. Born in Munich, Germany, he resided in Parlin before moving to Hazlet 10 years ago. Mr. Noe was a chief steward with the Merchant Marines for 40 years, retiring in 1967. He was a hotel management graduate, educated in Zurich, Switzerland. He was predeceased his wife, Julia Kubeck Noe, in 1985; and a son, Armin Noe. Mr. Noe is survived by a son, John J. Noe of Powhatan, Va. The Day Funeral Home, Keyport, was in charge of arrangements.
Alexander W. DeCicco
Mr. DeCicco, 80, of the Belford section of Middletown, died Oct. 21 at Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel. Born in South Orange, he resided there prior to moving to Belford 47 years ago. He was a postmaster at the U.S. Postal Service, Englishtown, for several years, retiring in 1980. Prior to that, he was a letter carrier and postal supervisor at the Middletown Township post office. He served with the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II. He was a communicant of St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, New Monmouth section of Middletown. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 2179, Port Monmouth section of Middletown, the Marine Corps League, and the National Association of Letter Carriers. He was predeceased by four brothers, Joseph DeCicco, Angelo DeCicco, Richard DeCicco and Edward DeCicco; and a sister, Angelina Grasso. He is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Alexander and Pam DeCicco of Texas, Anthony and Jenny DeCicco of the Lincroft section of Middletown, and Albert and Eileen DeCicco of Vincenza, Italy; two daughters, Georgia Anne Perry and Theresa DeCicco, both of Belford; a brother, Anthony DeCicco of Allamuchy; five sisters, Virginia Troncone, Dorothy Giordano, Mary O’Conz and Lucy Zecca, all of South Orange, and Elizabeth Flynn of Toms River; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. A funeral liturgy was offered at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, New Monmouth section of Middletown. Arrangements were by John F. Pfleger Funeral Home, Middletown.
Helen S. Krasinski Wasilewicz
Mrs. Wasilewicz, 83, of Middletown died Nov. 9 at home. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., she resided in Irvington prior to moving to Middletown in 1965. She was a factory worker at Lilly Tulip, Holmdel, before her retirement. Prior to that, she was employed at RCA, Harrison. Mrs. Wasilewicz was predeceased by her husband, Teddy Wasilewicz, in 1990; and a son, Thaddeus Wasilewicz, in 1999. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Wallace and Carol Wasilewicz of Beachwood; a daughter and son-in-law, Christine and William McCann of Middletown; a daughter-in-law, Paula Wasilewicz of Middletown; five grandchildren; and one great-grandson. Visitation will be Nov. 12 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at John F. Pfleger Funeral Home, Middletown. A funeral gathering will take place Nov. 13 at 8:45 a.m., followed by a funeral liturgy at 9:30 a.m. at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, New Monmouth section of Middletown. Walter R. McGill
Mr. McGill, 82, of Matawan died Nov. 9 at Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., he resided there before moving to the Old Bridge/Matawan area in 1964. He was superintendent of library, buildings, and construction at Brooklyn Library, retiring in 1987. Prior to that, he worked at Electronic Enterprises, Newark, and was a firefighter at Engine Station No. 278, Brooklyn, for 22 years, retiring as captain in 1965. Mr. Mc Gill served with the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was a member of U.S. Submarine Veterans of World War II, and the Jersey Aero Club, Wall Township. He is survived by his wife, Eleanor Weiss Mc Gill; a son, Barry Mc Gill of Doylestown, Pa.; a daughter, Susan Armellino of Freehold; three sisters, Helen Busby of Levittown, Pa., June Mc Gill of Winter Park, Fla., and Florence Marsh of Ocala, Fla; two stepsons, Robert and Victor Weiss, both of Old Bridge; five grandchildren; and two step-grandchildren. Visitation will be Nov. 12 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at Michael Hegarty Funeral Home, Old Bridge. A funeral service is scheduled for Nov. 13 at 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
Glenn L. Harding
Mr. Harding, 37, of Middletown died Nov. 8 at home. Born in Florida, he resided in Staten Island, N.Y., before moving to Middletown three weeks ago. He was a marketing manager at John Wiley and Sons Publishing, Hoboken, the past three years. He enjoyed time with his family, and was an avid sports fan. He was predeceased by his father, James Harding. He is survived by his mother, Adeline Scutari Harding of Florida; two sons, Thomas and Daniel Harding, both at home; and a brother, Christopher Harding of Old Bridge. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered Nov. 12 at 9:15 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, Keyport. The Day Funeral Home, Keyport, is in charge of arrangements.
Clementine "Ginger" Haberski Kucmyda
Mrs. Kucmyda, 87, of Keansburg died Oct. 21 at Bayside Manor, Keansburg. Born in Linden, she had been a resident of the Middletown area since 1958. She was a seamstress for several companies for 25 years, retiring in 1988. Mrs. Kucmyda was predeceased by her husband, Charles Kucmyda, in 1991; a sister, Lillian Konecni; and a brother, Victor Haberski. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Charles and Roberta Kucmyda of Hazleton, Pa.; three daughters, Barbara Thayer of Tinton Falls, Dolores Uras of Middletown, and Linda Gould of Marlton; a brother and sister-in-law, Richard and LaVerne Haberski of Emerson; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. A funeral liturgy was offered at St. Catherine’s Roman Catholic Church, North Middletown. Burial was at Mount Olivet Cemetery, Middletown. Arrangements were by John F. Giovannina "Janis" Bonanno Bianchi
Mrs. Bianchi, 82, of Middletown died Oct. 22 at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank. Born in New York City, she resided in Newark before moving to Middletown 42 years ago. She was a beautician and cosmetologist at Harbour Island Spa, Long Branch, for 20 years, retiring in 1989. She also worked at several beauty salons in the area. She was a member of the Middletown Senior Club. Mrs. Bianchi was predeceased by two brothers, John and Luke Bonanno. She is survived by her husband, Ugo P. Bianchi of Keansburg; five sons and four daughters-in-law, Leonard Bianchi and Jean Howson of Atlantic Highlands, Howard Bianchi of Oakland, Calif., Hugo and Randi Yaffee-Bianchi of Tinton Falls, Timothy and Mary Cooper-Bianchi of Fair Haven, and Geoffrey and Judy Bianchi of Duluth, Minn.; a daughter and son-in-law, Josiana Bianchi and Peter Blum of Red Bank; two brothers, Anthony Bonanno of Shrewsbury and Humbert Bonanno of Las Vegas; four sisters, Anne Motycka of Sparks, Nev.; Rose Scotti of Little Silver; Mary Moseley of Seattle, Wash.; and Loretta Powell of El Paso, Texas; four grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Eleanor A. Craggan Mahon
Mrs. Mahon, 73, of Keansburg died Oct. 22 at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank. Born in Newark, he resided there prior to moving to Keansburg 40 years ago. She was employed in quality control at Charles of the Ritz, Holmdel, and at 3M, Eatontown, retiring in 1985. She was a communicant of St. Ann’s Roman Catholic Church, Keansburg. She enjoyed time with her family, bingo and Atlantic City. She was predeceased by two sons, Francis Mahon in 1999, and John Mahon in 1982; eight sisters; and two brothers. She is survived by her husband, Francis Mahon of Keansburg; two sons, Thomas Mahon of Hazlet, and Jeffrey Mahon of Keansburg; her daughter, Elizabeth Mahon of Keansburg; and five grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial was offered at St. Ann’s Roman Catholic Church, Keansburg. Burial was at Shoreland Memorial Gardens, Hazlet. Arrangements were by Day Funeral Home, Keyport.
Doris Louise Pietrewicz Mancini
Mrs. Mancini, 66, of Keyport died Oct. 23 at Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel. Born in Keyport, she was a lifelong resident. She was a quality control inspector at Freedom Electronics, Tinton Falls, for 30 years, retiring recently due to illness. Mrs. Mancini is survived by a daughter, Christina Mancini of Keyport; two sons, Leon Mancini of Morganville and Alex Mancini of Hazlet; a sister, Francine Argentino of Union Beach; a brother, Alex Pietrewicz of Toms River; and two grandchildren. A memorial Mass was offered at St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, Keyport. Arrangements were by Day Funeral Home, Keyport.
