Rita Byrnes Painchaud
Mrs. Painchaud, 84, of the Parlin section of Sayreville died Nov. 2 at home. Her husband, Albert L. Painchaud, died in 1995. Surviving are a daughter, Maureen Gonzales of Lakewood; two sons, Paul Painchaud of Brick and Thomas Painchaud of the Clarksburg section of Millstone; two sisters, Muriel Clark of Hoboken and Frances Barrett of Brick; a brother, William Byrnes of Eulis, Texas; two sisters-in-law, Priscilla Meyer of Brick and Lorraine Painchaud of Massachusetts; nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. A Mass is planned for 10 a.m. on Nov. 6 at St. Bernadette’s Church, Parlin section of Old Bridge. Interment

John O. Bennett Jr.
Mr. Bennett, 78, of Freehold died Oct. 30 at Reformed Church Home, Old Bridge. Born in New Brunswick, he lived in Marlboro for many years before moving to Freehold 19 years ago. Mr. Bennett served in the U. S. Marine Corps during World War II. He was an automobile dealer for Bennett’s Garage, Marlboro from 1945 until his retirement in 1986. Surviving are his wife of 57 years, Florence Campbell Bennett; two sons and daughters-in-law, Senator John O. Bennett III and his wife, Margaret, Little Silver; Bruce W. Bennett Sr., and his wife, Donna, Colts Neck; and six grandchildren. Arrangements were made by the Higgins Memorial Home, Freehold and funeral services were held at the Old Brick Reformed Church, Marlboro. Matthew A. Chin
Mr. Chin, 19, of Red Bank died Oct. 14 in Hazlet. He was born in Red Bank. Mr. Chin was a retail clerk at Old Navy, Holmdel, and a student at Brookdale Community College, Lincroft section of Middletown. He was a graduate of Raritan High School, Hazlet, where he participated in track, wrestling and football. He enjoyed motorcycling and playing with his five dogs. He is survived by his parents, Priscilla L. and James Chin of Hazlet; a brother, Ryan Chin of Middletown; a sister, Venus Chin of Matawan; his grandmother, Winnie Lau of New York City; and one niece. Dorothy M. Durkin
Miss Durkin, 91, of Red Bank died Oct. 16 at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank. Born in Washington, D.C., she lived in Hyattsville, Md., prior to moving to Red Bank 14 years ago. She was a supervisor at the Tax Assessor’s Office for the District of Columbia, Washington, where she was employed for 30 years. She was a communicant of St. James Roman Catholic Church, Red Bank, where she was a member of the Rosary Altar Society. She was a member of the Monmouth Chapter of Daughters of the American Revolution, and the National Association of Retired Federal Employees. She was predeceased by a brother, Francis C. Durkin, in 1987. She is survived by a sister, Mary E. Cahill of Red Bank; a niece, Rita Kline of Red Bank; and several grandnieces and grandnephews. A Mass of Christian Burial was offered at St. James Church. Interment
was at George Washington Memorial Park, Adelphi, Md. Arrangements were by John E. Day Funeral Home, Red Bank.
Eugene Natusch
Mr. Natusch, 56, of Neptune died Oct. 20 at Jersey Shore Medical Center, Neptune. Born in Jersey City, he resided in Neptune for the past five years. Mr. Natusch was employed as a ground service chief for Northwest Airlines, Newark, for the past 35 years. He was a member of Church of Grace and Peace Church, Toms River. He was predeceased by his father, George Natusch in 2000. He is survived by his daughter, Jean Marie Pistone of Oceanport; three sons, Steven, Bryan and Ryan Natusch of Keyport, Monmouth Junction and Greenbrook, respectively; his mother, Palma Iacovelli Natusch of Woodbridge; a brother, George Natusch of Iselin; a sister, Jane Baliga of Fords; and a granddaughter. Funeral services were held at the Costello-Greiner Funeral Home, Woodbridge and interment was at the Cloverleaf Memorial Park, Woodbridge.
Robert J. Coyle
Mr. Coyle, 85, of Middletown died Oct. 15 at home. Born in Union City, he resided in Colorado before he moved to Middletown 18 years ago. He was a truck driver for Denman and Davis Steel Co., Clifton, for 35 years, retiring in 1980. He served with the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a communicant of St. Catherine’s Roman Catholic Church, Middletown. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Secaucus, and a former member of the American Legion. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and William Sisk of Pennsylvania; and his brother, Howard Coyle of Hamburg. A funeral liturgy was offered at St. Catherine’s Roman Catholic Church. Burial was at Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Cemetery, Arnytown. Arrangements were by John F. Pfleger Funeral Home, Middletown.
Dorothy Begoss Nicora
Mrs. Nicora, 77, of Aberdeen died Oct. 15 at Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel. Born in Clifton, she resided there before moving to Aberdeen 40 years ago. She was a homemaker. She was a communicant of Nativity of The Lord Byzantine Catholic Church, East Brunswick. She was a lay third order Carmelite. She is survived by her husband, Louis Nicora Sr. of Aberdeen; her son and daughter-in-law, Louis and Virginia Addeo Nicora Jr. of Keyport; her brother, Andrew Begoss of Leomister, Mass.; her sister, Elizabeth Bonnet of the Cliffwood section of Aberdeen; and two granddaughters. A Mass of Christian Burial was offered at Nativity of The Lord Byzantine Catholic Church, East Brunswick. Entombment was at St. Gabriel’s Cemetery, Marlboro. Arrangements were by Day Funeral Home, Keyport.
Robert M. Veronsky
Mr. Veronsky, 68, of the Parlin section of Sayreville died Oct. 17 in Sayreville. Prior to his retirement in 1995, he was employed as a school psychologist by the Hazlet Board of Education, where he worked for 35 years. Surviving are his wife, Florence Bienkowski Veronsky; a son, Michael Robert Veronsky of the Somerset section of Franklin; a daughter, Patricia Pipas of East Windsor; a sister, Virginia Jenkins of California; and four grandchildren. A Mass was offered at St. Mary of Ostrabrama Church, South River. Interment
was in St. Mary’s Cemetery, East Brunswick.
Lillian Verdon
Mrs. Verdon, 98, of Matawan died Oct. 16 at Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel. She was a retired registered nurse. She enjoyed ballroom dancing, for which she received several awards. She was predeceased by her husband of 41 years, John Edward Verdon. She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Lucille and Stephen Wohlleb, and Barbara and Clyde Plock, all of Matawan; five grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Entombment was at St. Joseph’s Mausoleum, Keyport. Arrangements were by Waitt-Nelms Funeral Home, Morganville section of Marlboro.
