Thomas J. Panarella
Mr. Panarella, 87, of Middletown died Sept. 16 at home. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., he resided there prior to moving to Middletown 24 years ago. He was the owner/operator of A-bel Toy, Brooklyn, retiring 22 years ago. He served with the U.S. Army during World War II. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Mary Aquilino Panarella of Middletown; two daughters and sons-in-law, Olympia and Steve Hydeck, and Nancy and Sal Moscuzza, all Middletown; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Vincent and Betty Panarella of New York City, and Sal Panarella of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; two grandsons; and one great-grandson. A funeral liturgy was offered at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, New Monmouth section of Middletown. Entombment was at St. John’s Cemetery, Queens, N.Y. Arrangements were by John F. Pfleger Funeral Home, Middletown.
George G. Enjeian
Mr. Enjeian, 88, of the Belford section of Middletown, died Sept. 20 at home. Born in Newark, he resided in Brick and Maplewood before moving to Belford one year ago. Mr. Enjeian was a retired postal carrier for the U.S. Postal Service, Newark, where he was employed for 30 years. He served with the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a member of the New Jersey Umpire Association for Minor Leagues. Mr. Enjeian was predeceased by his wife, Patricia Enjeian, in 2000. He is survived by two daughters and one son-in-law, Linda Enjeian of Belford, and Barbara and James Bibby of Brick; and two grandchildren. A funeral liturgy was offered at St. Catherine’s Roman Catholic Church, Middletown. Entombment was at Hollywood Memorial Park Mausoleum, Union. Arrangements were by John F. Pfleger Funeral Home, Middletown.
Jennie Press
Ms. Press, 75, of Marlboro died Sept. 20 at home. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., she had resided in Marlboro for two years. She was a sales associate for Macy’s department store in Brooklyn for 20 years, before retiring in 1996. She was predeceased by her husband, Henry, in 1996. Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Frank and Sandra Press of Matawan; three daughters and sons-in-law, Vicky and Don Fletcher of Queens, N.Y., Fran and Stephen Durante of Marlboro, and Donna and Tom Lacorazza of Marlboro; a brother and sister-in-law, Joseph and Pat Passalaqua of Staten Island; a sister, Rose Bresnick of Santee, Calif.; and nine grandchildren. A memorial gathering was held at Freeman Manalapan-Marlboro Funeral Home, Manalapan. Janice M. Eltringham Blackmon
Mrs. Blackmon, 77, of Holmdel died Sept. 25 at Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel. Born in Tamoque, Pa., she had resided in the Cliffwood Beach section of Aberdeen prior to moving to Holmdel. A homemaker, she was active at the Greenville Reformed Church, Jersey City. She was a former councilwoman in Jersey City and was active in the Democratic Club of Jersey City for several years. She was predeceased by her husband, Elgin Blackmon, in 1993; and a brother, Thomas Eltringham. She is survived by two daughters, Gloria Plummer of Cliffwood Beach and Avanelle M. Farmer of Florida; four sons, Walter Blackmon of Toms River, Robert Blackmon of Effort, Pa., George Blackmon of Manahawkin, and Edward Blackmon of Fairfield, Calif.; three brothers, Douglas Eltringham, Robert Eltringham and Charles Eltringham; five sisters, Virginia Mills, Eilleen Evans, Lahoma Wyant, Marcia Martin and Mary Ragno; 19 grandchildren; and 31 great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held Oct. 1 at 9:45 a.m. at Day Funeral Home, Keyport. Interment

Michael J. Murphy
Mr. Murphy, 72, of East Brunswick died Sept. 4 in St. Peter’s University Hospital, New Brunswick. Surviving are his wife, Corinne Beissig Murphy; a son, Robert of East Brunswick; two daughters, Maureen of Flemington and Lynn of Guttenberg; his mother, Mary O’Neill Murphy of Staten Island, N.Y.; a brother, James of Matawan; and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. A Mass was offered at St. Bartholomew’s Church, East Brunswick. Entombment was in Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick. Joseph B. Habig
Mr. Habig, 79, of Tinton Falls died Sept. 21 in Middletown of Parkinson’s disease. Born in New York City, he lived in Holmdel for nine years prior to moving to Tinton Falls. He was executive producer in the music division at Reader’s Digest for 16 years, retiring in 1989. Prior to that, he was an artists’ and repertoire producer at RCA Victor Red Seal for 19 years. He also worked 10 years as a trombonist with several symphony orchestras, and was a Grammy Award winner for producing Stravinsky’s "Symphony of Psalms." He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Virginia Harlow Habig. The John F. Pfleger Funeral Home, Middletown, was in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Rispoli, 71, of Highlands died Sept. 18 at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., she resided in the Port Monmouth section of Middletown prior to moving to Highlands five years ago. She was a homemaker. She is survived by her husband, whom she married in 1951, Joseph Rispoli of Highlands; four sons and daughters-in-law, Joseph and Jennie Rispoli of Brooklyn, N.Y.; James and Betty Rispoli of Cordova, S.C.; Steven and Debbie Rispoli of Long Branch; and Daniel and Linda Rispoli of Middletown; six daughters and five sons-in-law, Mariann Mezzina, Diane and Anthony Settembre, and Debra and Mark Shopp, all of Port Monmouth; Nancy and Robert Robinson, and Laura and David Betts, all of Cordova, S.C.; and Camille and Dennis Tenny of Middletown; her sister-in-law, Nancy Croce of Staten Island, N.Y.; 25 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Baird Craig
Mrs. Craig, 92, of Holmdel died Sept. 16 at CareOne at Holmdel. Born in Freehold, she resided in Manalapan, and Easton, Md., prior to moving to Holmdel. She taught in Manalapan schools. She was a member of Old Tennent Presbyterian Church, Tennent; Maryland Presbyterian Church, Easton, where she served as an elder; and the Community Church of Rossmoor, Monroe. She was predeceased by her husband, Tunis P. Craig in 1976; her brother, William Denise Baird; and her sister, Carolyn Lott. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Dr. Peter and Linda Craig of Cooperstown, N.Y.; her daughter and son-in-law, Millicent and Robert Gianettino of Colts Neck; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Daniel J. McGeehan
Mr. McGeehan, 40, of Keyport died Sept. 20 at Jersey Shore Medical Center, Neptune. Born in Newark, he resided in Middletown before moving to Keyport two years ago. Mr. McGeehan was a stationary engineer at Rouse Co., Staten Island, N.Y., where he was employed the past five years. He is survived by a son, Michael G. McGeehan of Long Branch; his parents, Dolores and George McGeehan of the New Monmouth section of Middletown; a sister, Sharon Thorp of the Navesink section of Middletown; one niece and one nephew. A funeral gathering will be held Sept. 24 at 8:30 a.m. at John F. Pfleger Funeral Home, Middletown. A funeral liturgy will follow at 9:30 a.m. at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, New Monmouth. Burial will be at Bay View Cemetery, Leonardo section of Middletown.
