Alois Goertz, 67, of Springfield died yesterday in St. Clare’s Hospital, Dover.
Private memorial services are being scheduled under the direction of the Mastapeter Funeral Home, Roselle.
Mr. Goertz was a roofing contractor with Industrial Roof Maintenance (IRM) in Roselle for the last 40 years.
Born in Konz, Germany, he lived in Cranford before moving to Springfield 12 years ago.
Surviving are his wife, Hannelie; a son, Thomas F., and brothers, Hans, Franz and Klaus.
Patricia Gouger

AUSTELL, Ga. - Memorial services for Mrs. Patricia Gouger, 49, of Austell, a former New Jersey resident, will be here at 7 o’clock tonight in the Davis Struempf Funeral Home Chapel.
Mrs. Gouger, who died Monday in Tranquility Hospice Center, Austell, worked in the computer service department of Cobb E.M.C. in Marietta for several years.
Born in Union, N.J., she lived in Newark, N.J., before moving to Austell.
Surviving are sons, Keith and Harry; sisters, Mrs. Mary Jane Petraroi and Mrs. Carol Applebaugh, and a grandchild.
Matthew E. Harwich Sr.

A Mass for Matthew E. Harwich Sr., 91, a lifelong resident of Jersey City, will be at 9 a.m. Friday in the Church of the Assumption, Roselle Park, after the funeral from the Mastapeter Funeral Home, 400 Faitoute Ave., Roselle Park.
Mr. Harwich, who died Monday in the Hamilton Park Health Care Center, Jersey City, worked in the stocks and bonds department of City Bank in New York City for 46 years before retiring in 1969.
Surviving are sons, Matthew E. Jr., Leonard and Raymond; daughters, Mrs. Dolores Hladky, Mrs. Florence Connelly, Mrs. Geraldine LaPrete and Mrs. Norine Wilson; 20 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Edward Daniel Heinold

Services were held for Edward Daniel Heinold, 57, of West Paterson, who died Sunday in St. Joseph’s Home, Paterson. Arrangements were by the Santangelo Funeral Home, West Paterson.
Mr. Heinold was a supervisor at Wed Industry in Montville since 1973.
Born in Glen Ridge, he lived in West Paterson for many years.
Surviving are his wife, Marilyn; sons, Daniel and Brian, and sisters, Mrs. Arlene Renna and Mrs. Patricia Arcaro.
Rogelia Heria

Mrs. Rogelia Heria, 95, of Newark died yesterday in the Clara Maass Continuing Care Center, Kearny.
A Mass will be at 9:30 a.m. tomorrow in St. James Church, Newark, after the funeral from the Buyus Funeral Home, 426 Lafayette St., Newark.
Mrs. Heria was born in Balbuena-Austrias, Spain, and settled in Newark in 1943.
Surviving is a son, Leonardo Richard.
William A. Holmes

A Mass for William A. Holmes, 75, of Monroe will be at 9 a.m. Friday in St. Matthias Church, Somerset, after the funeral from the Gleason Funeral Home, 1360 Hamilton St., Somerset.
Mr. Holmes, who died Sunday at home, was a corporate secretary for Exxon Research and Engineering in Florham Park for 39 years before retiring 18 years ago.
He was a member of the Kiwanis International, Fort Meyers, Fla., and Greenport, N.Y.
Mr. Holmes earned a bachelor of science degree in business from New York University.
Born in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada, he lived in Bridgewater and Fort Myers before moving to Monroe a year ago. Mr. Holmes also maintained a summer home in Greenport.
Surviving are his wife, Marie; sons, William Jr. and Michael; daughters, Mrs. Andrea Sievers and Mrs. Laurie Smith, and 19 grandchildren.
