Kathleen A. Tanner
Miss Tanner, 47, of Red Bank, died July 26, 2007, at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank. She was a birth certificate associate in the labor and delivery department at Riverview Medical Center for 11 years. She was active in fundraising for the American Cancer Society, and received several awards for her work, such as the Orion Award. She is survived by her parents, Pauline and James A. Tanner of Rumson; a sister and brother-in-law, Sheryl and Robert Hassfeld of Oceanport; a niece, Jennie; and her companion, Ronald Forfar. Interment

Mr. Mazza, 22, of Long Branch, died July 22, 2007, in Richmond, Va., following injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident. Born in Long Branch, he resided there most of his life. He was a corporal in the U.S. Marine Corps, and served two deployments in the Middle East during Operation Enduring Freedom. He received the Purple Heart and several other commendations from the U.S. Navy and U.S. Government. Prior to that, he was a lifeguard at Seven Presidents Oceanfront Park, Long Branch. He was a 2003 graduate of Long Branch High School. He was a communicant of St. Michael's Roman Catholic Church, Long Branch; and member of and deacon at Freedom Worship Center, Jacksonville, N.C. He was predeceased by his paternal grandmother, Gladys B. Mazza. He is survived by his parents, Jim and Vicky Williams Mazza; two sisters, Megan G. Mazza and Jamie Mazza, both Long Branch; his paternal grandfather, James G. Mazza, M.D., and his wife Lorraine Mazza of Boynton Beach, Fla.; his maternal grandparents, Elizabeth and Edward Williams of Fort Myers, Fla.; and his fianceé, Rebecca Ann Howell of Wilmington, N.C. Matilda Ryser Borden
Mrs. Borden, 97, of Little Silver, died June 4, 2007, at Gateway Care Center, Eatontown. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., she resided in Kane, Pa., prior to relocating to Little Silver in 1925. She was employed at Little Silver Mike's and at W.T. Grant until the company closed. Mrs. Borden was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church, Little Silver. She was a member of the Fair Haven Seniors. She was predeceased by her husbands, Archibald Wright and John W. Borden; a daughter, Joan Wright; all of her siblings, George, John and Pearl Ryser, Elizabeth Adelhoch, Madeline Schachinger, Eva Mayer and Violet Wynn; and a granddaughter, Suzanne Foster. She is survived by two daughters, Phyllis McIntyre of Denton, Texas, and Nancy Foster of Oceanport; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held June 7 at 1:30 p.m. at St. John's Church. Interment

Theresa "Mary" Collins Harylka
Mrs. Harylka, 78, of Holmdel, died June 4, 2007, at Overlook Hospital, Summit. She resided in Hoboken and Jersey City prior to relocating to Holmdel. She was a homemaker. She was a communicant of St. Ann's Roman Catholic Church, Keansburg. She enjoyed crossword puzzles and word games. She was predeceased by 11 brothers and sisters. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Stanley "Stash" Harylka; three daughters and sons-in-law, Margaret "Peggy" and Andy Herchakowski of Shrewsbury, and Nancy and Lenny Sass, and Catherine and Jimmy Colby, all of Holmdel; a son and daughter-in-law, Steven and Sue Harylka of the Leonardo section of Middletown; a sister and brother-in-law, Dorothy and Ray Grubowski of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; and eight grandchildren. A funeral liturgy was celebrated at St. Ann's Church, followed by entombment at Holmdel Cemetery. The John F. Pfleger Funeral Home, Middletown, was in charge of arrangements.
Elvina H. Phipps
Mrs. Phipps, 78, of Rumson, died May 31, 2007, at Meridian Nursing and Rehabilitation, Red Bank. Before her retirement, she was a receptionist at a Rumson doctor's office for 12 years. Mrs. Phipps was a member of Rumson Presbyterian Church and the Rumson Woman's Club. She was predeceased by her husband, William M. Phipps. She is survived by a daughter, Nancy Mulligan of Rumson; a sister, Roberta Lovaty of South Carolina; and two grandchildren. A memorial service was held at Rumson Presbyterian Church. Rosemary Wenzell Terry
Mrs. Terry, 86, of Oceanport, died May 29, 2007, at Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch. She had resided in Satellite Beach, Fla., prior to relocating to Oceanport. She was a nurse at Monmouth Memorial Hospital, Long Branch, from 1941 to 1942, and left to travel the world with her husband, Lt. Col. (Ret.) Lawrence Terry. She was a communicant of St. Michael's Roman Catholic Church, West End section of Long Branch. She enjoyed music and dancing. Mrs. Terry was predeceased by her husband in 1995; and a brother, John. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Susan and James R. Edward J. Radzik
Mr. Radzik, 71, of Tinton Falls, died June 4, 2007, at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank. Born in Jersey City, he resided in Red Bank prior to relocating to Tinton Falls. He was employed at Karsu Distributors, Freehold, for 20 years, retiring in 2002. Prior to that, he was a machine operator at Western Electric, Kearny, for 30 years, retiring in 1984. He was a U.S. Army veteran. He enjoyed time with his family, and trips to Atlantic City. Mr. Radzik was predeceased by a sister, Mary Nowakoski. He is survived by his wife, Patricia Radzik; two sons and daughters-in-law, Michael E. and Rose Radzik of Groveland, Fla., and Richard J. and Eldra Radzik of Tinton Falls; two daughters and sons-in-law, Diane and John Oliveras of Ocean Township, and Theresa and James Hughes of Oviedo, Fla.; and seven grandchildren. Louise Talerico
Mrs. Talerico, 92, of Red Bank, died June 16, 2007, at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank. Born in Long Branch, she resided there prior to relocating to Red Bank. She was a retired sewing machine operator employed at several area garment makers. She was a communicant of St. Anthony of Padua Roman Catholic Church, Red Bank. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of West Side Hose Company, Red Bank. She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph Talerico Sr. in 1984. She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Bruno and Roberta Talerico of Sierra Vista, Ariz., and Joseph and Linda Talerico of Oceanport; a daughter and son-in-law, Angelina and John Swenson of Scottsdale, Ariz.; a brother, Richard Renzella of Long Branch; a sister, Anne Guarino of Toms River; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Laura E. Weld
Mrs. Weld, 82, of Eatontown, died June 21, 2007, at home. Born in Altoona, Pa., she had resided in Fair Haven and Scobeyville before moving to Eatontown in 1978. She was predeceased by her husband, Everett V. Weld Sr., in 1997, and a son, Everett V. Weld Jr., in 1999. She is survived by a daughter, Patricia Gronostajski of Freehold; a granddaughter; and a great-grandson. Services were held under the direction of the Higgins Memorial Home, Freehold. James J. Gorman
Mr. Gorman, 87, of Seabrook Village, Tinton Falls, died June 20, 2007, at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., he resided in Hazlet before relocating to Seabrook Village five years ago. He was the retired director of the Federal Home Loan Bank Board, New York City. He served with the U.S. Navy during World War II aboard the USS South Dakota. He was a former member of Holy Family Roman Catholic Church, Union Beach. Mr. Gorman was predeceased by his wife, Margaret "Peggy" Gorman, in 1990. He is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, James and Patrice of Holmdel, Michael and Mary of Summit, and John and Elizabeth of Metuchen; a daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and Christopher Lukas of Belmar; and 11 grandchildren. Mrs. Dull, 95, of Red Bank, died June 11, 2007. She resided at Navesink Harbor, Red Bank, the past 13 years. She was predeceased by her husband, Sidney F. Dull in 1985; and three sisters, Mary Potts, Thelma Flowers and Gertrude Kemper, all of Georgia. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Sandra and James Caldwell of Potomac, Md.; a son and daughter-in-law, Robert S. Dull and Pandora Jacoubs of Fair Haven; a sister, Liela Browning of Atlanta; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. A funeral service was held at Fair View Cemetery, Middletown.
