Joseph Chirico, 78, of Maplewood died yesterday in Saint Barnabas Medical Center, Livingston.
A Mass will be at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday in Our Lady of Sorrows Church, South Orange, after the funeral from the Preston Funeral Home, 153 South Orange Ave., South Orange.
Mr. Chirico was the traffic manager of Modulume Industries in South Plainfield, where he worked for 16 years before retiring 13 years ago.
He served in the Army during World War II.
Mr. Chirico was a member of American Legion Post 1000, Trenton, and a past president of Maplewood Senior Club 2.
Born in Newark, he lived in Maplewood for 22 years.
Surviving are Lucy A., his wife of 56 years; daughters, Angela and Joanne; a son, Gerardo; a sister, Antoinette Spiga, and a brother, John.
Laura E. Lanza, 45, registered nurse

A Mass for Mrs. Laura E. Lanza, 45, of Clinton will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the Sacred Heart Chapel, Bernards Avenue, Bernardsville. Arrangements are by the Gallaway and Crane Funeral Home, Basking Ridge.
Mrs. Lanza died Friday in Morristown Memorial Hospital.
A registered nurse, she worked at the Flemington Medical Group for several years.
Mrs. Lanza received her nursing degree from the Orange Memorial School of Nursing and was pursuing a masters degree at St. Josephs College in Windom, Maine. She also attended Carlo College, Pittsburgh, and St. Elizabeths College, Convent Station.
Born in Plainfield, she lived in Bernardsville before moving to Clinton three years ago.
Surviving are her husband, Jerry; a daughter, Elizabeth; her parents, Johna and Phyllis Elmi, and a sister, Lisa Comella.
Gladys M. Kouvel

A Mass for Mrs. Gladys M. Kouvel, 83, of Bayonne will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church, 524 Summit Ave., Jersey City, after the funeral from the G. Keenan OBrien Funeral Home, 984 Avenue C., Bayonne.
Mrs. Kouvel died Thursday in Bayonne Medical Center.
Born in Jersey City, she moved to Bayonne many years ago.
Surviving are her husband, Charles; a daughter, Sandra Rentas; sons, Charles, Peter and Andrew; a sister, Grace Farrell; 13 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Raymond T. Kinney

Services for Raymond T. Kinney, 93, of the Silver Ridge section of Berkeley will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the Anderson and Campbell Funeral Home, 703 Main St., Toms River.
Mr. Kinney, who died Friday at home, owned Raymond T. Kinney Plumbing & Heating, Newark for 50 years before retiring in 1977.
He was a member of the Knights of Columbus council in Newark.
Born in Newark, Mr. Kinney moved to Silver Ridge in 1977.
Surviving are sons, Bob and Ray Jr.; a daughter, Eileen Pendorf, and three grandchildren.
Neal Kantor

Neal Kantor, 54, of West Caldwell died yesterday in Mountainside Hospital, Glen Ridge.
Services will be at 10 a.m. tomorrow in the Dancy Funeral Home, 9 Smull Ave, Caldwell.
Mr. Kantor was a regional sales representative for the Rotary Corp. in Georgia. Previously, he owned and operated the American Lawn and Equipment Co., Lyndhurst.
He was a Navy veteran of the Vietnam War.
A member of the Germainia Corinthian Union Lodge 11, F&AM, Mr. Kantor was also a member of the North Jersey Pyramid of Sciots. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 6255 and the Vietnam Veterans of America, Chapter 510, both of Cedar Grove.
Born in Morristown, Mr. Kantor lived in Boonton before moving to West Caldwell 32 years ago.
Surviving are his wife, Ethel; a son, Michael; a daughter, Cynthia Brooke; his mother, Ann Kantor; a brother Arnold, and a sister, Ina Taitel.
