BEACHWOOD -- Ruth Doby Sickles, 77, died Tuesday at her daughter's home.
Born in Salisbury, N.C., she was a longtime Trenton area resident before moving to Beachwood four years ago.
She retired after many years from the U.S. Postal Service in Trenton.
Mrs. Sickles was a member of Crossroads Baptist Church, Lakehurst, American Legion Eagles Women's Organization of New Jersey and Forgotten Pets Inc.
Daughter of the late Isaac Filmore and Lula Mae Miller Doby and wife of the late Edward J., she is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Ruth M. and Richard E. Marcine Jr. of Beachwood; a sister and brother-in-law, Ollie and Joseph Esposito; a grandson, Richard E. Marcine III; a granddaughter, Debra Ruth Marcine; three great-grandchildren; and two nephews, James and Joseph Esposito.
Funeral will be 11 a.m. Friday at Buklad Memorial Home, 2141 S. Broad St., Hamilton, with the Rev. Ernest Bliss, pastor of Memorial Baptist Church, officiating.
Burial will be in Ewing Cemetery.
Calling hours will be 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Robert R. Wingert

QUAKERTOWN, Pa. - Robert R. Wingert, 68, of Quakertown, a former New Jersey resident, died here yesterday at home.
A Mass will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Sacred Heart Church, South Plainfield, N.J., after the funeral from the McCriskin Home for Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Ave., South Plainfield. Entombment will follow in Holy Redeemer Cemetery, South Plainfield.
Mr. Wingert was a draftsman with Henderson Construction Co., Raritan, N.J., for 17 years before retiring in 1993. After retiring, he returned to work part-time as a draftsman for St. Luke’s Hospital in Bethlehem.
A Navy veteran of the Korean War, he served from 1951 through 1955 as an aviation storekeeper and was awarded the Good Conduct Medal and the National Defense Service Medal.
Mr. Wingert served as president of the Holy Name Society and was a Eucharistic minister, both at Sacred Heart Church. He also was active with the church’s annual “Funstival” and FISH, an organization that assists the needy.
He was a member of South Plainfield Knights of Columbus 6203 and a fourth-degree knight with the Bishop Charles P. Greco Assembly 2147. He also was a member of the Wallace Willard Keller American Legion Post 242 in Quakertown.
Born in Elizabeth, N.J., he lived in Cranford, N.J., and South Plainfield for many years before moving to Quakertown six years ago.
Surviving are his wife, Estelle H.; daughters, Mrs. Linda Turiak and Mrs. Estelle Amate; sisters, Mrs. Peggy Boyle and Mrs. Nan Herman, and two grandchildren.
Peggy A. Williams

Services for Mrs. Peggy A. Williams, 36, of Rahway will be at 11 a.m. Friday in the First Baptist Church, 225 N. Eighth St., Kenilworth. Arrangements are by the Hicks Funeral Home, Elizabeth.
Mrs. Williams died Saturday in Rahway Hospital.
She was employed in the customer service department of Elizabethtown Gas Co. in Elizabeth for eight years. A certified daycare provider, she recently started Precious Moments Daycare in Rahway.
Mrs. Williams was a deaconess and secretary for the First Baptist Church and was a regional secretary for the American Baptist Churches of New Jersey, Raritan Chapter.
Mrs. Williams was a member of the Parent-Teacher Association at the Roosevelt Elementary School in Rahway.
Born in New York City, she lived in Goodwater, Ala., and Elizabeth before moving to Rahway eight years ago.
Surviving are her husband, Timothy; a daughter, Kelsey Nicole; a son, Justin A.; her mother, Mrs. Helen Simmons; brothers, John and Eric Simmons, and sisters, Courtney Simmons, Mrs. Karen Parham, Lena Simmons and Mrs. Lynn Harris.
Brendan W. Murphy, 25

A Mass for Brendan W. Murphy, 25, of Ocean Township and Metuchen will be offered at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the Church of St. Anselm, Wayside. Arrangements are by the O’Brien Funeral Home, Wall Township.
Mr. Murphy, who died Friday at home, was a third-year apprentice as an electrician working for the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 3 in New York City.
He enjoyed racing his 1998 Ford Mustang GT in Englishtown.
Born in Spring Lake, he maintained dual residences in Ocean Township and Metuchen for most of his life.
Surviving are his mother, Pamela A. Murphy; his father, William Murphy Jr.; two brothers, Brian W. and Kevin W.; two stepsisters, Mrs. Tracy Ciarlante and Mrs. Julie Anderson, and his grandmother, Mrs. Helen E. Musa.
Clemmie Jones

Services for Clemmie C. Jones Jr., 51, of Elizabeth will be held at 11 a.m. tomorrow in the New Hope Baptist Church, Metuchen. Arrangements are by the Jones Funeral Home, Rahway.
Mr. Jones, who died Tuesday in the Raritan Bay Medical Center, Perth Amboy division, was a construction worker for Jones Paving in Metuchen for 25 years before leaving in 1993.
Born in New Brunswick, he lived in Rahway before moving to Elizabeth six years ago.
Surviving are a son, Donnell; a daughter, Tomica; a brother, William G.; a sister, Mrs. Janice Newson, and two grandchildren.
Grace Ward, church deaconness

Services for Mrs. Grace Lillian Ward, 80, of Kenilworth will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the Cranford Alliance Church, Cranford. Arrangements are by the Gray Memorial Funeral Home, Cranford.
Mrs. Ward, who died Monday in Union Hospital, was a former secretary in the Bogota area many years ago.
She was a troop leader for the Washington Rock Girl Scout Council in Kenilworth. Mrs. Ward also served as a Sunday school teacher, head deaconess, a member of the Governing Board and the Metropolitan District Alliance, all of the Cranford Alliance Church.
Mrs. Ward was also a council member, former board member and treasurer of the American Council of the Ramabai Mukti Mission in High Bridge.
Born in Bogota, she moved in Kenilworth in 1945.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Virginia Grace Smith and Mrs. Dorothy Anne Margraf; a son, David Anderson; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
