A Mass for Daniel J. Blackburn Sr., 75, of Keansburg will be at 9:15 a.m. tomorrow in St. Ann’s Church, Keansburg. Arrangements are by the John F. Pfleger Funeral Home Inc., Middletown.
Mr. Blackburn, who died Monday in the Union Beach home of his son, Daniel J., was employed for 13 years with the Sewerage Treatment Authority in Union Beach before retiring in 1990.
He served in the Army during World War II.
Born in Hoboken, Mr. Blackburn moved to Keansburg in 1965.
Also surviving are his wife, Frances; another son, Thomas D., and two grandchildren.
Theresa Moscatello

Mrs. Theresa Moscatello, 79, of Monmouth Beach died yesterday at home.
A Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. tomorrow in Holy Rosary Church, Jersey City, after the funeral from the Damiano Funeral Home, Third and Franklin avenues, Long Branch.
Mrs. Moscatello was active in the operation of the family produce business for more than 40 years.
She was a volunteer with Deborah and other local charities and was an officer of the St. Peter’s Prep Mother’s Club.
Born in Jersey City, she lived in Monmouth Beach for the past 17 years.
Surviving are sons, William E., Harry J. and Salvatore A.; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
John R. Burroughs

Services for John R. Burroughs, 76, of Gladstone will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday in St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, Main Street, Gladstone. Arrangements are by the Layton Funeral Home, Bedminster.
Mr. Burroughs, who died Monday in Morristown Memorial Hospital, was a machinist with Thul Machine Works, Plainfield, for 35 years before retiring in 1991. He also was a freelance photographer.
He served in the Marine Corps during World War II with the 51st Defense Battalion, the first African-American Marine Division, in the South Pacific in the Marshall and Gilbert islands.
Born in Madison, Mr. Burroughs lived in East Orange before moving to Gladstone in 1960.
Surviving are Brenda, his wife of 52 years; a daughter, Paula M., and a grandchild.
Patricia A. MacCabe

A Mass for Mrs. Patricia A. MacCabe, 66, of Lyndhurst will be at 10:30 a.m. tomorrow in the Parow Funeral Home, 185 Ridge Rd., North Arlington.
Mrs. MacCabe, who died Monday in West Hudson Hospital, Kearny, was a secretary with the Savino Agency in Lyndhurst for 10 years before retiring 15 years ago.
Born in Newark, she lived in Kearny and North Arlington before moving to Lyndhurst 18 months ago.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Audrey Stellatella, and a grandchild.
Maxine Distler

Services for Mrs. Maxine Distler, 97, of Maplewood will be at 11:30 a.m. today in the Bernheim-Apter-Goldsticker Suburban Funeral Chapel, 1600 Springfield Ave., Maplewood.
Mrs. Distler died Monday in Winchester Gardens, Maplewood.
Born in Newark, she lived in Irvington before moving to Maplewood.
Surviving are a daughters, Mrs. Doris Gelman; a son, Donald; eight grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and two step-grandchildren.
Nicola DiRenzo

CALABRIA, Italy - A Mass was offered in Italy for Nicola DiRenzo of Calabria, who died here Oct. 20.
Mr. DiRenzo was employed in the construction business for many years. He was a member of the Laborers International Union of North America Local 711 in Morristown, N.J.
Born in Calabria, he lived in Newark, N.J., for more than 30 years before returning to Calabria several years ago.
Surviving are his wife, Teresa; sons, Antonio, Paolo and Jess, and six grandchildren.
