A Divine Liturgy for John De May, 78, a lifelong resident of Bayonne, will be at 9 a.m. Friday in Sts. Peter & Paul Russian Orthodox Church, 98 W. 28th St., Bayonne. Arrangements are by the George J. Koch Funeral Home, Bayonne.
Mr. DeMay died Monday in Bayonne Hospital.
He was an engineer with the Westinghouse Elevator Division of Jersey City and Pittsburgh, altogether for 42 years before retiring in 1984.
Mr. DeMay was past president of the Carpatho-Russian American Citizens Club in Bayonne. He was a member of the Masonic Order Scottish Rite Corinthian Lodge in Pittsburgh, the Shriners Salaam Temple in Livingston and the Orthodox Square Clubs of America.
Surviving are his wife, Olga, and brothers, Peter and William.
Olivine G. Degnan

A Mass for Mrs. Olivine G. Degnan, 91, of Iselin will be at 10 a.m. Friday in St. Cecelia Church, Iselin, after the funeral from the Gosselin Funeral Home, 660 New Dover Rd., Edison.
Mrs. Degnan, who died Monday in Runnells Specialized Hospital, Berkeley Heights, was a secretary with International Flavors and Fragrances in Garfield for 25 years before retiring in 1968.
She was a member of the Ladies Guard in Toms River.
Born in Elizabeth, Mrs. Degnan lived in Toms River before moving to Iselin eight years ago.
Surviving are a son, Robert; daughters, Mrs. Olivine Harland, Mrs. Catherine Venditto and Mrs. Dale Kanson; 16 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild.
Betty S. Dankel

Services for Mrs. Betty S. Dankel, 81, of Fanwood will be at 11 a.m. today in the Fairview Cemetery, Westfield. Arrangements are by Gray Funeral Home, Westfield.
Mrs. Dankel, who died Sunday in the Chelsea Assisted Living in Fanwood, was a member of the Westfield Women’s Club and the Leisure Village West Golfer’s Association of Manchester Township. She also was a volunteer at Overlook Hospital, Summit.
Born in Cranford, Mrs. Dankel lived in Westfield and Manchester for many years before moving to Fanwood two years ago.
Surviving are daughters, Mrs. Barbara Pierce and Mrs. Virginia Sullivan; a sister, Mrs. Margaret Kiesling; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
William Conklyn Jr.

William E. Conklyn Jr., 81, of Sparta died yesterday in St. Clare’s Continuing Care Center, Dover.
A Mass will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Blessed Kateri Church in Sparta. Arrangements are by the Goble Funeral Home, 22 Main St., Sparta.
Mr. Conklyn was a district sales manager for machinery sales with Crown Cork and Seal Co. in North Bergen for 25 years before retiring 16 years ago.
He was an usher at St. John the Evangelist Church in Bergenfield and a member of the church’s finance committee and also served as the committee’s chairman for five years.
An Army veteran of World War II, Mr. Conklyn served in Italy and North Africa and attained the rank of first sergeant.
Born in Yonkers, he lived in Bergenfield for 34 years before moving to Sparta five years ago.
Surviving are his wife, Mary Rose; daughters, Mrs. Barbara Vandenbergh, Mrs. Anne Skarbowski, Elizabeth and Maryrose; sons, William E. III, Christopher and Timothy; 13 grandchildren and three great-grandchild.

Graveside services for Nathan Feldman, 86, of Modesto, Calif., a former New Jersey resident, will be at 1 p.m. Friday in Beth Israel Cemetery, Cedar Knolls. Arrangements are by the Dangler Funeral Home, Morris Plains.
Mr. Feldman, who died Friday in the Evergreen Rehabilitation Center in Modesto, was a manufacturers’ representative with the Ontell Brush Co. in Newark before retiring many years ago.
Born in Boonton, he lived in Elizabeth, Livingston, and Tamarac, Fla., before moving to Modesto three years ago.
Surviving are his wife of 44 years, Rose; sons, Dr. Robert Schorr and Sigmund Schorr; five grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
Nancy Ferrucci

Mrs. Nancy Ferrucci, 80, of Montclair died yesterday at home.
A Mass will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Immaculate Conception Church, Montclair, after the funeral from the Caggiano Memorial Home, 62 Grove St., Montclair.
Born in Lodi, Mrs. Ferrucci moved to Montclair 50 years ago.
Surviving are daughters, Mrs. Janice Jacobs, Mrs. Lisa Balzano and Mrs. Marleen Klosteridis, and six grandchildren.
