Cornelius Odell Myers Jr., 68, of Union died yesterday in Union Hospital.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in the McCracken Funeral Home, 1500 Morris Ave., Union.
Mr. Myers was a self-employed carpenter for more than 50 years in Pittstown.
He served in the Army during the Korean War.
Mr. Myers was a member of the Elks Lodge in Flemington.
Born in Newark, he lived in Pittstown before moving to Union seven years ago.
Surviving are his wife, Patricia; a daughter, Mrs. Laurie Torgersen; a son, Edward; a brother, Clifford, and four grandchildren.
Vlora A. Stiefel

Mrs. Vlora A. Stiefel, 87, of Clark died yesterday in the Cranford Health & Extended Care Center.
A Mass will be at 10 a.m. tomorrow in Sts. Peter and Paul Church, Elizabeth, after the funeral from the August F. Schmidt Memorial Home, 139 Westfield Ave., Elizabeth.
A hairdresser, Mrs. Stiefel owned Vlora’s Salon in Elizabeth for 19 years before retiring in 1965.
She served in the Women’s Army Corps during World War II.
Born in Elizabeth, she moved to Clark 35 years ago.
Theodora Maslowski

Mrs. Theodora Maslowski, 84, of Belleville died yesterday in the Clara Maass Medical Center, Belleville.
A Mass will be at 10 a.m. tomorrow in St. Valentine Church, Bloomfield, after the funeral from the Levandoski Funeral Home, 44 Bay Ave., Bloomfield.
Mrs. Maslowski was a salesperson for 20 years with Hahne’s department store in Montclair before retiring 22 years ago.
She was a member of the 60-Plus Singles Club, the Senior Citizens and the Watsessing Senior Citizens Wednesday Club, all in Bloomfield, and the American Association of Retired Persons.
Born in Florida, N.Y., Mrs. Maslowski lived in Montclair and Bloomfield before moving to Belleville three years ago.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Jacqueline Rice; a son, Allen; a sister, Mrs. Cecelia Sagaden, and three grandchildren.
Richard Shaw

Services for Richard Shaw, 53, of Brick will be scheduled for Friday in the Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home of Toms River.
Mr. Shaw died at home Monday.
He received a bachelor’s degree in religious education from Northeastern Bible College in Essex Fells.
He started a Habitat for Humanity program in Elizabeth and was a member of the Area Foundation for Religious and Psychiatric Counseling in Brick.
Born in Newark, he lived in Union most of his life before moving to Brick.
Surviving are his mother, Mrs. Evelyn Balut; a brother, Robert, and a sister, Mrs. Barbara Carbone.
Evelyn C. Schiller

Services for Mrs. Evelyn C. Schiller, 89, of Largo, Fla., a former New Jersey resident, will be at 11 a.m. tomorrow in Arlington Cemetery, Kearny. Arrangements are by McCracken Funeral Home, Union.
Mrs. Schiller, who died Saturday in Largo, was a secretary with Industrial Electronics for three years before retiring many years ago. Earlier, she had been a secretary with the William Dixson Co., Newark, for nine years.
Born in Kearny, she lived in Irvington for 50 years before moving to Florida in 1998.
Surviving are a son, Alan, and six grandchildren.
