Eleanore Crespy
Mrs. Crespy, 92, of Little Silver, died July 9, 2007, at home. She resided in Little Silver for more than 50 years. She was a communicant of St. James Roman Catholic Church, Red Bank. She enjoyed cooking, and spending time with her family. She was predeceased by her husband, John J. in 1974. She is survived by a son, John of Palm Desert, Calif.; two daughters, Gail of Little Silver, and Lynn Goldstrohm of Tustin, Calif.; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Visitation will be July 12 from 6-9 p.m. at Thompson Memorial Home, Red Bank. A Mass of Christian Burial
will be July 13 at 10 a.m. at church of the Nativity, Fair Haven. Interment
will follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery, Middletown.
Carl Harold Philips
Mr. Philips, 82, of Hazlet, died July 1, 2007, at Arnold Walter Nursing Home, Holmdel. Born in Jersey City, he resided there prior to relocating to Hazlet 18 years ago. He was a machinist at Westinghouse Elevator, Jersey City, for 25 years, retiring in 1980. He served with the U.S. Army during World War II during the Battle of the Bulge, and received the Purple Heart. He was a former parishioner at Bethany Lutheran Church, Jersey City. He was predeceased by a son, Thomas Philips in 2006; a daughter-in-law, Colleen Philips in 1999; a sister, Viola "Pinky" Philips; and a brother, Alfred Philips. He is survived by his wife, Catherine Connors Philips; a son and daughter-in-law, Carl and Karen Philips of Jersey City; a sister, Alfred "Tootie" Linquist of Tinton Falls; and four grandchildren. John O. Muessig
Mr. Muessig, 85, of Tinton Falls, died July 2, 2007, at home. He was born in Newark. He was an insulator at International Heat and Frost Insulators, Newark, for 35 years, retiring in 1988. He served with the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II in the China-Burma Theater. He was the recipient of several medals such as his Air Crew Wings, Distinguished Flying Cross, The Air Medal, and World War II Victory Medal. He was a member of Local 32, Newark. He was predeceased by two brothers, Edward and Henry. He is survived by his wife, Annelies Doelling Muessig; two sons and daughters-in-law, John R. and Karen Muessig, and Thomas J. and Therese Muessig; two daughters and one son-in-law, Deborah J. Paolini, and Donna A. and Patrick DelVecchio; and five grandchildren. A funeral liturgy was held at St. Leo The Great Roman Catholic Church, Lincroft section of Middletown. Burial

Lee Forrest
Mrs. Forrest, 87, of Tinton Falls, died May 28, 2007, at her home in Seabrook Village following a brief illness. Born in Bloomfield, she was raised in South Orange, and resided in Tinton Falls more than 50 years. She was a retired employee of Bell Labs/Lucent Technologies, Holmdel. Prior to that, she was employed in the guidance department at Monmouth Regional High School, Tinton Falls. She and her husband were founding members of the First Unitarian Church, Lincroft section of Middletown, where she taught Sunday school. She was a lifelong member of the American Association of University Women, and the League of Women Voters, and initiated the successful plan to establish Seabrook Village as its own voting district within Tinton Falls. She was a founder of the Memorial Association of Monmouth County. She enjoyed the arts, and served as president of the Monmouth County Arts Council. She also enjoyed sailing. She is survived by her daughters, Susan Painter and Constance Forrest, both of Venice, Calif.; two grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and three nieces. A memorial service will be July 14 at 1 p.m. at the First Unitarian Church. Helen M. Koehler Rayner
Mrs. Rayner, 92, of the Belford section of Middletown, died July 16, 2007, at home. Born in West New York, she resided there prior to relocating to Belford in 1956. She was a salesperson for Avon Products for 47 years. She was a member of and elder at Middletown Reformed Church for more than 45 years. She was predeceased by her husband, Phillip in 2001. She is survived by a son, Guy Rayner of Eatontown; and a daughter and son-in-law, Gail and James Alverson of Monmouth Beach. A funeral service was held at Middletown Reformed Church. Burial

Robert Tillyer
Mr. Tillyer, 71, of Middletown, died June 29, 2007, at Thomas Jefferson Medical Center, Philadelphia. Born in Easton, Pa., he resided in Middletown most of his life. He was a production manager at International Flavors & Fragrances (IFF), Union Beach, for 25 years, retiring in 1986. He served with the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict. He was a communicant of St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, New Monmouth section of Middletown. He was a member of Benevolent Protective Order of Elks Lodge No. 2179, Middletown. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Hahn Tillyer; a son, Kevin Tillyer of Pennsylvania; a bother and sister-in-law, Richard and Patricia Tillyer of Florida; three sisters, Mary Fagan of Red Bank, Connie Marotta of the Leonardo section of Middletown, and Alice Maher of Kearny; and two grandchildren. Katherine J. Fogliano
Mrs. Fogliano of Manchester died July 12, 2007, in Middletown. Born in New York City, she had resided in Staten Island, N.Y., prior to moving to Manchester. She was a retiree of Procter & Gamble, Staten Island. Mrs. Fogliano is survived by her husband of 65 years, Anthony P.; a daughter and son-in-law, Anita and Gerard Fedorcik of Rumson; two sons and daughters-in-law, Bob and Denise Fogliano, and Richard and Toni Fogliano, all of Middletown; a sister, Christine Miraglia of the Bronx; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Carmela Mildred "Millie" Forino
Mrs. Forino, 92, of Red Bank, died July 5, 2007, at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., she was a Red Bank resident most of her life. She was a seamstress for several years at Eisner Co., Red Bank, which made uniforms for soldiers during World War II. She was a parishioner and member of the St. Anne's Society of St. Anthony of Padua Roman Catholic Church, Red Bank. She was a member of the International Ladies Garment Workers Union. She was also a member of the Ladies Auxiliary for the Red Bank Fire Department, and Red Bank Elks. She was predeceased by her husband, Carmine Forino; two brothers James and Louis Dorie; and a sister, Catherine Sacco. She is survived by a cousin, Rose Malinconico of Red Bank; a sister-in-law, Marjorie Forino of Red Bank; a niece; and three nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial

Marian Lynch Parra
Mrs. Parra, 78, of East Brunswick, died July 10, 2007. born in Barto, Pa., she resided in Saddle Brook prior to relocating to East Brunswick in 1968. She was a retired employee at Rutgers University, New Brunswick, where she received her degree in sociology and was employed 25 years. She was predeceased by her husband, William F. Parra in 2004; and a son, Joseph C. Parra in 2005. She is survived by two sons, William Parra of Tinton Falls, and James Parra of Chesterfield; a daughter, Mary Lou Parra of Solebury, Pa.; five brothers, John Hanley, James Hanley, William Hanley, Michael Hanley and Thomas Hanley; a sister, Anna Koch; and seven grandchildren. Ralph John Ardolino
Mr. Ardolino, 65, of Palm Beach, Fla., died May 31, 2007, in Allentown, Pa. Born in Long Branch, he resided in Allentown, Pa., prior to relocating to Palm Beach. He was co-owner of Simply Simmered Foods, LLC food manufacturer and distributor to retail supermarket chains. Prior to that, he founded RJA Foods Inc., Palm Beach. He also served as alumni director at is alma mater, Muhlenberg College, Allentown, Pa., until 1973 when he entered the private business sector. He was an avid golfer. He was predeceased by a granddaughter, Cathleen Mary Rudgers in 2006; and his father, Daniel Ardolino. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Inese; a son and daughter-in-law, Peter and Barbara of Fair Haven; a daughter and son-in-law, Kari and Kyle Rudgers of Kensington, Md.; his mother, Josephine Ardolino of Long Branch; a sister and brother-in-law, Carolyn and Robert Perri of Oceanport; his in-laws, Aria and Alexander Brokans of Denton, Md.; and three grandchildren. Mrs. Mylott, 92, of Tinton Falls, died May 25, 2007, at Arnold Walter Nursing Home, Holmdel. Born in Jersey City, she resided there until 1960, in Middletown for 18 years, and Toms River 20 years, prior to relocating to Tinton Falls. She was a homemaker. She was a communicant of St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, New Monmouth section of Middletown. She was predeceased by her husband, Harold R. Mylott in 1975. She is survived by two daughters and one son-in-law, Marietta Freeman of Red Bank, and Marilyn and Joseph Scagliuso of Tinton Falls; a son and daughter-in-law, John and Maureen Mylott of New Briton, Conn.; eight grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
