Helen Agnes Heller

A Mass for Mrs. Helen Agnes Heller, 79, of North Arlington will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in Our Lady Queen of Peace Church, North Arlington, after the funeral from the Parow Funeral Home, 185 Ridge Rd., North Arlington.
Mrs. Heller died Sunday in the Cedar Grove Manor Nursing Home.
She was a waitress at the Rock Spring Country Club in West Orange for more than 20 years before retiring 10 years ago.
Mrs. Heller was a member of St. Stephen’s Church Choir in Kearny, the ladies auxiliary of the Veterans Foreign War Post 4697 and the Happy Senior Citizens, both of North Arlington.
Born in Kearny, she lived in North Arlington and Livingston before moving back to North Arlington eight years ago.
Surviving are daughters, Mrs. Virginia Giovia, Mrs. Jean Scheps and Mrs. Arlene Guedes; a brother, John Oakes, and 10 grandchildren.
Edward Daniel Heinold

Services for Edward Daniel Heinold, 57, of West Paterson will be at 8 o’clock this evening in the Santangelo Funeral Home, 635 McBride Ave., West Paterson.
Mr. Heinold, who died Sunday in St Joseph’s Hospital, Paterson, was a supervisor at Wed Industry in Montville since 1973.
Born in Glen Ridge, he lived in West Paterson for many years.
Surviving are his wife, Marilyn; sons, Daniel and Brian, and sisters, Mrs. Arlene Renna and Mrs. Patricia Arcaro.
Anthony Mercadante

A Mass for Anthony James Mercadante, 64, a lifelong resident of South Orange, will be at 9:30 a.m. Thursday in Our Lady of Sorrows Church, 217 Prospect St., South Orange. Arrangements are by Smith and Smith (Suburban), Springfield.
Mr. Mercadante died Sunday in Trinitas Hospital, Elizabeth.
A landscaper, he owned and operated A.J. Maintenance in South Orange since 1987. Prior to that, he was a truck driver for the Village of South Orange Road Department for 19 years.
He served in the Army Reserves from 1957 through 1963 and was a member of the American Legion in South Orange.
He also was a member of the Savoia Club, South Orange.
Surviving are his wife, Marie; daughters, Mrs. Ann Marie Drzymkowski and Mrs. Elsie England; his mother, Mrs. Elsie Mercadante; a brother, James; sisters, Mrs. Maryann Manno and Mrs. Jane Caporelli, and four grandchildren.
Jessie Mineo

Services for Mrs. Jessie Mineo, 84, of Belleville will be at 9:30 a.m. tomorrow in Holy Family Church, Nutley, after the funeral from the S.W. Brown & Son Funeral Home, 267 Centre St., Nutley.
Mrs. Mineo was a self-employed seamstress for many years before retiring 20 years ago.
Born in New York City, she lived in Bloomfield before moving to Belleville 50 years ago.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Joan Protomastro; sons, Carmen, Frank and Sal Mineo Jr.; a sister, Mrs. Ann Simone; 12 grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
M. Harriet Murnane

A Mass for Mrs. M. Harriet Murnane, 97, of Manasquan will be at 9:30 a.m. Friday in St. Denis Church, Manasquan. Arrangements are by Neary-Quinn Funeral Home, Manasquan.
Mrs. Murnane, who died Saturday at home, was a student nurse housemother at Mercer Hospital in Trenton. Earlier, she was one of the first telephone operators for New Jersey Bell.
She had been president of the Parent-Teacher Association and a member of the Altar Rosary Society, both at Sacred Heart Church.
Born in Jersey City, Mrs. Murnane lived in Bayonne and Trenton before moving to Manasquan.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Margaret Cortese; sons, John Jr. and Owen; 21 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
Nora O’Leary

A Mass for Mrs. Nora O’Leary, 90, of Elizabeth will be at 11 a.m. tomorrow in the Blessed Sacrament Church, Elizabeth. Arrangements are by the Higgins and Bonner Funeral Home, Elizabeth.
Mrs. O’Leary, who died Friday in Trinitas Hospital, Elizabeth, was a bookkeeper for the National State Bank in Linden for 10 years before retiring in 1976.
She was a member of the Senior Citizens and Rosary Society of Blessed Sacrament Church, and the Joseph Nugent Association, all of Elizabeth. She also was a member of the Benedictine Mother’s League of St. Mary’s Abbey in Morristown.
Born in Inishfree Island, County Donegal, Ireland, she came to Elizabeth 70 year ago.
Surviving are sons, Patrick Joseph Jr., Rev. Hilary Charles O.S.B., Ret. Lt. Col. John Joseph, U.S.M.C., and Timothy, and two grandchildren.
