Joseph M. Wyzykowski, 69, of Colonia died yesterday at home.
A Mass will be at 9:30 a.m. Thursday in St. John Vianney Church, Colonia, after the funeral from the Costello-Koyen Funeral Home, 399 Avenel St., Avenel.
Mr. Wyzykowski worked in the maintenance department at Beth Israel Cemetery, Cloverleaf Memorial Park and Mount Lebanon Cemetery, all in Woodbridge Township, for 12 years.
He was a coach, manager and officer with the Merrill Park Baseball League in Colonia for many years. He also had been a Cub Scout and Boy Scout leader in Colonia and was active with the Colonia Boys Football League.
Born in Perth Amboy, he moved to Colonia 42 years ago.
Mr. Wyzykowski is survived by Adele, his wife of 48 years; daughters, Mrs. Karen Goley and Mrs. Nancy Mesar; sons, Brian and Joseph; a sister, Mrs. Marie Broeder, and nine grandchildren.
Samuel Williams Jr.

Services for Samuel Williams Jr. of Newark will be at 11 a.m. tomorrow in New Light Baptist Church, Bloomfield. Arrangements are by Martin’s Home for Service, Inc., Montclair.
Mr. Williams, who died Friday in Clara Maass Medical Center, Belleville, worked for Picatinny Arsenal in Dover for 30 years, retiring as with the rank of captain. He was the first African-American captain in the arsenal’s history.
He served in the Army as a sergeant and as a paratrooper in the 82nd Airborne Division at Fort Bragg, N.C. He transferred to the Army Reserves.
Born in Orange, he lived in East Orange before moving to Newark.
Surviving are his wife, Anna; a son, Alan Sr., and two grandchildren.
Robert Wiggins

A Mass for Robert Wiggins, 67, of Manasquan will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in St. Denis Church, Manasquan. Arrangements are by the Neary-Quinn Funeral Home, Manasquan.
Mr. Wiggins, who died Sunday at home, was a machinist with Accurate Products in Hillside for many years.
He was a former Eucharistic minister at St. Leo Church in Irvington and a member of the parish’s Holy Name Society and Parent-Teacher Association.
Born in Irvington, he moved to Manasquan three years ago.
Mr. Wiggins is survived by Julia, his wife of 44 years; a son, Richard; daughters, Mrs. Susan Monahan, Mrs. Mary Chaves, Mrs. Stephanie Lee, Mrs. Cynthia Gawlowski, Mrs. Jennifer Prokop and Theresa; a brother, Thomas, and six grandchildren.
Walter C. Wegrzyn

Walter C. Wegrzyn, 78, of Roselle Park died yesterday in Union Hospital.
A Mass will be at 9 a.m. Thursday in the Church of the Assumption, Roselle Park, after the funeral from the Mastapeter Funeral Home, 400 Faitoute Ave., Roselle Park.
Mr. Wegrzyn was a boiler maintenance mechanic with Public Service Electric Gas in Linden for 25 years before retiring 22 years ago.
After retiring, he was a school crossing guard in Roselle Park.
Mr. Wegrzyn served in the Army Air Corps during World War II as a corporal in the European African Theatre.
Born in Plains, Pa., he lived in Roselle Park since 1953.
Surviving are his wife, Rose M.; daughters, Maureen, Mrs. Karen Addeo and Dr. Celeste Lamell; a sister, Mrs. Claire Benedetti; brothers, Edward and Thomas, and a grandchild.
Fred M. Van Tine

EAST STROUDSBURG, Pa. - Services will be scheduled for Fred M. Van Tine, 76, of Blakeslee, formerly of Iselin, N.J., who died here Sunday in the Pocono Medical Center. Arrangements are by the Lanterman and Allen Funeral Home, East Stroudsburg.
Mr. Van Tine was a sheet metal worker with the Adams Sheet Metal Co. in Newark, N.J., before retiring in 1986.
He served in the Navy during World War II.
Mr. Van Tine was a member of the Sheet Metal Workers International Association Union Local 25 and the American Legion Post 927 in Gilbert.
Born in Great Kills, Staten Island, he lived in Iselin before moving to Blakeslee, Pa.
Surviving are Ethel, his wife of 54 years; sons, Fred M. Jr. and William; a brother, Francis, and two grandchildren.
