Mrs. Mary Lee Saam, 76, of Avenel died yesterday in the John F. Kennedy Medical Center, Edison.
A Liturgy will be at 9:30 a.m. Thursday in St. Andrew Church, Avenel, after the funeral from the Costello-Koyen Funeral Home, 399 Avenel St., Avenel.
Born in Elizabeth, Mrs. Saam lived in Avenel for the past 47 years.

Services for Mrs. Gladys M. Thomas, 77, of Jamaica, N.Y., will be at 11 a.m. tomorrow in the Perry Funeral Home, 34 Mercer St., Newark.
Mrs. Thomas, who died Wednesday in Winthrop University Hospital in Jamaica, worked at Creedmoor State Hospital in Queens for 35 years before retiring in 1974.
She was a member of the Pastoral Relations Committee at Bethany Baptist Church in Jamaica.
Born in Skipwith, Va., she lived in Newark for six years before moving to Jamaica.
Surviving are sisters, Mrs. Pauline Franklin and Mrs. Bernice Thompson, and brothers, Willie and Arthur Gregory.
John Draovitch

John Draovitch, 82, of Forked River died Friday in Community Medical Center, Toms River.
Arrangements are by Layton’s Home For Funerals, Forked River.
Mr. Draovitch was a department head of safety and security at the Singer Manufacturing Co. in Elizabeth before retiring 27 years ago.
He served in the Navy during World War II.
Born in Coaldale, Pa., he lived in St. Clair, Pa. and Hillside before moving to Forked River 26 years ago.
Surviving are his wife, Nell A.; a son, Daniel J.; brothers, Russell, Steve, Leo and Wassil; sisters, Mrs. Ethel Daderko, Mrs. Nancy Messina, Mrs. Mary Melnick and Mrs. Ann Sashkin; five grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

A Mass for Mrs. Anna G. Lefferts, 77, of Roselle Park will be at 9 a.m. tomorrow in the Church of the Assumption, Roselle Park, after the funeral from the Mastapeter Funeral Home, 400 Faitoute Ave., Roselle Park.
Mrs. Lefferts, who died yesterday in the Father Hudson House, Elizabeth, was a waitress at Paglaccis Restaurant in West Orange for five years before retiring four years ago. Earlier, she worked for the Halfway House Restaurant in Springfield for six years and Good Time Charlie’s in Roselle Park for 15 years.
Mrs. Lefferts was a member of the Parent-Teacher Association of the Robert Gordon School in Roselle Park.
Born in Yonkers, N.Y., she lived in Elizabeth for 20 years before moving to Roselle Park 57 years ago.
Surviving are sons, Jerry and Jimmy Veltre; a daughter, Mrs. Deborah Zito, and two grandchildren.
John Nentarz

A Mass for John Nentarz, 66, of Linden will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in St. Theresa’s Church, Linden, after the funeral from the Kowalski Funeral Home, 515 Roselle St., Linden.
Mr. Nentarz, who died Friday at home, was a wire operator for Phelps Dodge Copper Products in Elizabeth from 1969 through 1986 when he retired.
Earlier, he was a a carpenter in Poland for 17 years.
Mr. Nentarz served in the Polish Army during peacetime.
Born in Lutcza, Poland, he lived in Linden since 1969.
Surviving are Sophie, his wife of 44 years; daughters, Mrs. Christine Bodek, Janina and Mrs. Josephine Cardozo; sisters, Mrs. Sophie Wojtaszek, Mrs. Stanislawa Szurlej and Katazyrna, and two grandchildren.
Rose Marie Morphy

A Mass for Mrs. Rose Marie Morphy, 81, of Union will be at 10:30 a.m. today in St. Anthony’s Church, Elizabeth, after the funeral from the Higgins and Bonner Echo Lake Funeral Home, 582 Springfield Ave., Westfield.
Mrs. Morphy, who died Friday in Union Hospital, was a hostess at the Kingston Restaurant in Union for 20 years before retiring in 1984.
She was a member of the Union Elks Club 1583.
Born in Elizabeth, she moved to Union 43 years ago.
Surviving are her husband. Paul G. Sr.; sons, Paul G. Jr. and Joseph Michael Karch; a daughter, Mrs. Paula Ann Pace; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
