Services for Thomas Soban, 79, of Whiting will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday in the Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arnytown.
Arrangements are by the Manchester Memorial Funeral Home, Whiting.
Mr. Soban, who died Wednesday in the Community Medical Center, Toms River, was a chemical operator with the G.A.F. Corp., Linden, for 36 years before retiring in 1984.
He served in the Army Air Corps during World War II.
Born in Romania, Mr. Soban lived in Elizabeth and Roselle before moving to Whiting in 1984.
Surviving are Miriam, his wife of 56 years; a son, Thomas F.; a daughter, Cecelia J. Guthmiller, and three grandchildren.
Helen Sim

BREWSTER, Mass - Services will be private for Mrs. Helen Sim, 88, of Brewster, who died here Wednesday in her home. Arrangements are by the Doane, Beal and Ames Funeral Home, South Dennis.
Mrs. Sim was a member of the Women’s Club and Deborah, both in Point Pleasant, N.J.; the Barnegat Windjammers Chapter of Questers in New Jersey, the Women’s Club in Brewster and the Order of the Eastern Star.
She was a 1934 graduate of the New Jersey College for Women, now Douglass College, New Brunswick.
A native of New Jersey, Mrs. Sim moved to Brewster four years ago.
Surviving are daughters, Mrs. Carol Ericsson, Mrs. Joan Skillman and Mrs. Judy Fitzsimmons; a brother, Robert C. Slingerland; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Catherine R. Sebold

Mrs. Catherine R. Sebold, 85, of Hopatcong died yesterday at home.
A Mass will be at 10 a.m. Monday in St. Jude’s Church, Hopatcong. Arrangements are by the Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, Landing.
Mrs. Sebold was a member of the Rosary Altar Society of St. Jude’s Church.
A native of Jersey City, she had a summer residence in Lake Hopatcong for 19 years before moving to Hopatcong.
Surviving are a son, Donald; daughters, Mrs. Marian Parrillo, Joanne and Mrs. Mary Foran; 11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Carlo Quarto

A Mass for Carlo Quarto, 77, of Pine Brook will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Orange, after the funeral from the Paul Ippolito Memorial, 252-256 Henry St., Orange.
Mr. Quarto, who died Wednesday in Mountainside Hospital, Glen Ridge, was employed by Fabricators Supply Co., Fairfield, for 45 years before retiring in 1989.
He served in the Army during World War II.
Born in Orange, Mr. Quarto moved to Pine Brook 36 years ago.
Surviving are his wife, Camille; sons, Pat, Rocco and Pasquale, and a grandchild.
Wanda Quagliano

A Mass for Mrs. Wanda Quagliano, 76, of South Plainfield will be at 11:30 a.m. Monday in the Sacred Heart Church, South Plainfield, after the funeral from the McCriskin Home for Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Ave., South Plainfield.
Burial will follow in George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus.
Mrs. Quagliano died Thursday in Greenbrook Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Born in Jersey City, she lived in Hoboken before moving to South Plainfield 26 years ago.
Surviving are Michael, her husband of 54 years; daughters, Mrs. Cynthia Colvin, Mrs. Joyce Puglese, Mrs. Karen Gigantino and Mrs. Chris Niedzielski; sons, Anthony and Michael; a sister, Mrs. Pauline Coleman; a brother, Stan Warick, and six grandchildren.
Evelyn M. Zehnder

A Mass for Mrs. Evelyn M. Zehnder, 82, of Union will be at 9:15 a.m. Monday in St. Michael’s Church, Union, after the funeral from the McCracken Funeral Home, 1500 Morris Ave., Union.
Mrs. Zehnder, who died Tuesday in the Cranford Health and Extended Care Center, was a member of the Catholic Daughters of America of St. Michael’s Church.
Born in Newark, she lived in Union since 1950.
Surviving are Kenneth L. Sr., her husband of 59 years; sons, Kenneth L. Jr. and Arthur J.; a daughter, Mrs. Theresa A. Olsen; a sister, Mrs. Frances Zachau, and eight grandchildren.
