Services for Ms. Mary L. McClendon, 78, of Plainfield will be at 10 a.m. tomorrow in St. John’s Baptist Church, Morse Avenue, Scotch Plains. Arrangements are by Judkins Colonial Home, Plainfield.
Ms. McClendon, who died Wednesday in the John F. Kennedy Medical Center, Edison, was an administrative secretary for the Department of Veterans Affairs, New Jersey Health Care Center at Lyons.
She attended Rutgers University and Columbia University.
Ms. McClendon was a member of the Plainfield Senior Citizens and the Prayer Group of St. John’s Baptist Church.
Born in Newark, she moved to Plainfield 46 years ago.
Surviving are sisters, Mrs. Merlin Robinson, Mrs. Ruth Robertson and Mrs. Fannie Calloway, and brothers, Clifford and Louis.
Rose Martino

A Mass for Mrs. Rose Martino, 90, of Little Falls will be at 11 a.m. tomorrow in Holy Angels Church, Little Falls, after the funeral from the LaMonica Memorial Home, 299 Bloomfield Ave., Bloomfield.
Mrs. Martino, who died Wednesday at home, was a cashier at the Stadium Pharmacy in Newark for 15 years before retiring seven years ago.
Born in Waterbury, Conn., she lived in Newark and Bloomfield before moving to Little Falls in April.
Surviving are daughters, Mrs. Norma Ponzini and Mrs. Marlene Grasso; sisters, Mrs. Mary Russomanno, Mrs. Olga Kozak and Ms. Lillian Shady; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Roman J. Lapychak

Roman J. Lapychak, 84, of Union died yesterday in St. Barnabas Medical Center, Livingston.
A Mass will be at 9:30 a.m. tomorrow in St. John’s Ukrainian Church, Newark, after the funeral from the Union Funeral Home-Lytwyn & Lytwyn, 1600 Stuyvesant Ave., Union.
Mr. Lapychak was a risk manager with the Fedders Corp. in Edison for 40 years before retiring in 1982.
He was a branch manager for the Ukrainian National Association in Union for 27 years and a member of the Peremyshl Society.
Mr. Lapychak served on the board of the Self-Reliance Federal Credit Union in Newark.
Born in Ukraine, he lived in Newark and Irvington before moving to Union in 1982.
Surviving are his wife, Irene; a daughter, Chrystyna, and a son, Victor.
Josephine M. Szczomak

Mrs. Josephine M. Szczomak, 71, a lifelong resident of Paterson, died yesterday in St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center, Paterson.
A Mass will be at 9 a.m. Monday in St. Bonaventure Church, Paterson, after the funeral from the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd., Totowa.
Mrs. Szczomak was the first female parking lot attendant for Gallo Parking Lots, Paterson, where she also was the bookkeeper.
She was a member of the Passaic Valley Elks Lodge 2111 Ladies Auxiliary, Totowa, and the Totowa-Wayne chapter of Deborah Heart and Lung Hospital.
Surviving are her husband, Michael; a son, John, and a brother, James Gallo.
Carlo Quarto

A Mass for Carlo Quarto, 77, of Pine Brook will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Orange, after the funeral from the Paul Ippolito Memorial, 252-256 Henry St., Orange.
Mr. Quarto, who died Wednesday in Mountainside Hospital, Glen Ridge, was employed by Fabricators Supply Co., Fairfield, for 45 years before retiring in 1989.
He served in the Army during World War II.
Born in Orange, Mr. Quarto moved to Pine Brook 36 years ago.
Surviving are his wife, Camille; sons, Pat, Rocco and Pasquale, and a grandchild.
Marge Osterman

NEWTOWN, Conn. - Services for Mrs. Marge Osterman, 69, of Newtown, a former New Jersey resident, will be here at 11 a.m. Monday in St. Rose of Lima Church.
Mrs. Osterman died Wednesday in Danbury Hospital.
Born in Jersey City, N.J., she lived in Cliffside Park, N.J., and Cedar Grove, N.J., before moving to Newtown 30 years ago.
Surviving are Edward T., her husband of 47 years, and sons, David and Thomas.
