MOUNT LAUREL -- Craig Marshall Bird, 47, died Friday at home.
Born in Stafford Springs, Conn., he spent summers in Lake Dunmore, Vt., and lived in Mount Laurel.
He served in the Coast Guard from 1972 to 1975.
Mr. Bird graduated from Cheshire (Conn.) High School in 1972.
He was an landscaping irrigation foreman. Previously, he was a film set designer and worked with a Park City, Utah, ski resort.
He enjoyed woodworking.
He is survived by his wife, Karen Bird; a daughter, Lisa Marie Bird of Hershey, Pa.; a son, Joshua Bird Rigby of Bethel, Conn.; his mother, Gayle Bird of Cheshire; three sisters, Cheryl Smith of Greenwich, Conn., and Kim Quigley and Heather Bird, both of Cheshire; and two brothers, Clifton of Cheshire and Scott of East Haven, Conn.
Funeral and cremation will be private.
Calling hours will be 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. Thursday at Mount Laurel Home for Funerals, 212 Ark Road.

Mary Giovannini Calabrese

STERLING HEIGHTS, Mich. -- Mary Giovannini Calabrese, 91, died Monday at Autumn Woods Nursing Home, Warren.
Born in Trenton, she lived in Ewing, N.J., before moving to Sterling Heights in 1994.
She retired after more than 35 years with American Tobacco Co., Trenton.
She was a former member of Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, Trenton, and Incarnation Roman Catholic Church, Ewing.
Daughter of the late Thomas and Josephine Maurano Iaquinto, wife of the late Joseph Giovannini and Dominic Calabrese and mother of the late Carl P. Giovannini, she is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Loretta and Edward Adams of Sterling Heights; a daughter-in-law, Carolyn R. Giovannini of Ewing; four grandchildren, Joseph F. Giovannini, Cynthia Sajczuk, Keith Adams and Carol Rakowski; 12 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Mamie Bisignano of Hamilton, N.J., and Anna I. DaBronzo of Dania, Fla.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Friday at Chambers D'Errico and Correnti Funeral Home, 825 Chambers St., Trenton, with clergy from Immaculate Conception Church officiating.
Burial will be in Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery, Hamilton.
Calling hours will be 3 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

William J. Casey

BORDENTOWN TOWNSHIP -- William J. Casey, 81, died Monday at Princeton Nursing Home.
Born in Elizabeth, he lived in Trenton before moving to Bordentown Township 12 years ago.
He was an Army veteran of World War II.
He retired in 1976 after 27 years with the state Department of Corrections, Trenton.
Son of the late Dominic and Yan Chitis Casey, father of the late Dominic J. and brother of the late Mary Monroe, he is survived by his wife, Cecelia Vannozzi Casey; a daughter, Linda A. Alessandrini of Princeton Township; a sister, Helen Ryan of Toms River; two grandchildren, Dana W. and Ryan J. Alessandrini; and nieces and nephews.
Graveside service will be noon Thursday at St. Mary's Cemetery, Hamilton, with the Rev. Jeffrey Pierfy officiating.
There will be no calling hours.
Arrangements are by Brenna Funeral Home, Trenton.
Mary Felice Van Hook

Mrs. Mary Felice Van Hook, 68, of Basking Ridge died yesterday in Morristown Memorial Hospital.
A Liturgy will be at 11 a.m. Friday in St. James Church, Basking Ridge. Arrangements are by the Gallaway & Crane Funeral Home, Basking Ridge.
Mrs. Van Hook was a substitute elementary school teacher for the Liberty Corner and Cedar Hill schools, both in Bernards Township.
Born in Paterson, she lived in Basking Ridge for many years.
Surviving are James P., her husband of 43 years; daughters, Mrs. Marjorie E. Redan and Mrs. Ingrid M. Kowalk; sons, Eric A., Karl A. and James V.; sisters, Mrs. Paula Hess and Mrs. Clare Fox, and 11 grandchildren.
Elinor M. Viola

A Mass for Mrs. Elinor M. Viola of Manchester Township will be at 11 a.m. Friday in St. Clement’s Church, Matawan, after the funeral from the Waitt-Nelms Funeral Home, 501 Route 79, Morganville.
Mrs. Viola died Monday at home.
She was a clerk with the Monmouth County Probation Department before retiring in 1991. Earlier, Mrs. Viola had been a clerk with the Aberdeen Township Tax Assessor’s Office for six years and before that a secretary with Dun & Bradstreet in New York City.
She was a charter member of St. Clement’s Church Altar-Rosary Society, Bowling League and was a bingo volunteer.
Born in Jersey City, Mrs. Viola lived in Aberdeen for 37 years before moving to Leisure Knoll, Manchester Township.
Surviving are Frank, her husband of 53 years; sons, Frank, James and Robert; daughters, Mrs. Patricia Keith, Mrs. Joanne Stroby and Mrs. Elizabeth Moore; a brother, Arthur Prout, and 10 grandchildren.
