Kenneth J. Roonan
Mr. Roonan, 88, of Oceanport and formerly Tinton Falls, died Feb. 12, 2007, at St. Barnabas Hospice at Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch. He was born in Cleveland, Ohio. He was a senior vice president at William H. McGee & Company, New York City, retiring in 1989 following 40 years in the insurance industry. He was also a former president of the American Institute of Marine Underwriters. He served with the U.S. Army with the rank of Major during World War II, and as a reservist in the Korean War. He was a former member of Tinton Falls First Aid Squad, and Maritime Law Association. He enjoyed golf and travel. He was predeceased by his wife, Ellen Meehan Roonan in 2003. He is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Greg and Beverly Roonan of Oceanport, and Randy and Sheryll Roonan of Fairfield, Conn.; five grandchildren; and a great-grandson. Helen E. Magella Kreidler
Mrs. Kreidler, 84, of Keyport, died Feb. 11, 2007, at Care One at Holmdel. Born in Johnstown, Pa., she resided in Carteret, Matawan, Red Bank and Connecticut, prior to relocating to Keyport. She was a retired secretary at W & J Sloans, Red Bank. She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph Kreidler in 2002. She is survived by a daughter, Kristina Kreidler of Keyport. Arrangements were by Day Funeral Home, Keyport.
Sachiko Venezia
Mrs. Venezia of Red Bank, died Feb. 12, 2007, at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, New York City. Born in Yokohama, Japan, she resided there and in several areas while he husband was stationed abroad prior to relocating to Red Bank. She helped operate the family owned business, The Trade Winds Motel and Marina, Sea Bright. Prior to that, she was employed at Standard Oil, Tokyo. She enjoyed time with her family, pottery and artwork. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Vincent; a daughter and son-in-law, Patty and Ed DeFabio of Rumson; and two granddaughters. Joseph Peter Lucarelli
Mr. Lucarelli, 70, of Vero Beach, Fla., and Rumson, died Feb. 9, 2007, at his home in Vero Beach, following a lengthy battle with cortical basal degeneration. He was the manager of his family's real estate business, Versailles Realty Co. for more than 40 years. He was a second lieutenant in the National Guard. He was president of the Multi-Housing Institute of New Jersey. He served on the boards of Monmouth Day Care Center, Rumson Recreation Board, and Community YMCA. He enjoyed sailing and golf. He was predeceased by a brother, Francis Xavier Lucarelli. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Thea Lucarelli; three sons and daughters-in-law, Benjamin and Francoise Lucarelli of Fair Haven, James and Virginia Lucarelli of Telluride, Colo., and Sam and Becki Lucarelli of Chatham, Mass.; a daughter and son-in-law, Dodi and Marc Allocca of Richmond, Va.; a sister and brother-in-law, Roseanne and Pat Kramer of Rumson; and 12 grandchildren. Dennis J. Farley
Mr. Farley, 62, of Union Beach, died Feb. 14, 2007. Born in Jersey City, he resided there prior to relocating to Union Beach in 1965. He was a mechanical inspector at Breeze-Eastern Transtechnology, Union, retiring in 1999. He enjoyed bike riding, reading, and time with his family. He was predeceased by a brother, Vincent Farley; a sister, Doris O'Day; and his father-in-law, Albert De Angelo. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Josephine; a son and daughter-in-law, Dennis and Joanne Farley of Jamestown, N.C.; two daughters and one son-in-law, Janet Ann Matthews of Freehold, and Bernadette and Kevin Willett of Little Silver; his mother-in-law, Christine De Angelo; and four grandchildren. Edward James Kelsey
Mr. Kelsey, 60, of Freehold, died Feb. 15, 2007, at home. He was born in Long Branch. He was an information systems director at NJ Bell, New Brunswick, retiring after several years. He was an avid New York Mets and Giants fan. He is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, John Thomas and Diva Kelsey of Long Branch; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Clare Ann Kelsey of Red Bank, and Jean Thomas Murphy and her husband Charles of Broomfield, Colo.; and two nieces. T. Scott Kennedy
Mr. Kennedy, 57, of Shrewsbury Township, died Feb. 15, 2007, in West Long Branch. Born in Butler, Pa., he resided in Tinton Falls prior to relocating to Shrewsbury Township in 1995. He was a technical manager at Net2Phone, West Long Branch. Prior to that, he was employed at Bell Laboratories and Lucent Technologies in Holmdel and West Long Branch, and worked on the lunar landing project. He enjoyed coin collecting, Atlantic City, and trains. He was predeceased by his father, Guy Kennedy in 1998; his mother, Mildred Booher Kennedy in 2005; and a brother, William Johnson in 1993. HE is survived by two daughters, Melissa Kennedy of Woodstock, Ga., and Jessica Kennedy of Tinton Falls; a brother and sister-in-law, James and Virginia Kennedy of Denton, Texas; his former wife, Deborah Kennedy; and his companion, Yvette Newman of Forked River. Albert L. Runge
Mr. Runge, 72, of Middletown, died Feb. 12, 2007, at Robert Wood Johnson University Medical Center, New Brunswick. Born in New York City, he resided in Highlands prior to relocating to Middletown 45 years ago. He was a retired landscaper for Garden State Parkway where he was employed several years. He served with the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean Conflict, attaining the rank of Corporal. He was predeceased by a sister, Ethel Runge. He is survived by his wife, Linda Runge; two daughters and one son-in-law, Lora Runge of Keyport, and Ginger and Dan Hatton of Tinton Falls; a son and daughter-in-law, Glen and Jennifer Runge of the Belford section of Middletown; a sister, Irene Mahoney of Staten Island, N.Y.; a brother, Henry Runge of Toms River; and four grandchildren. A funeral service will be Feb. 16 at 11 a.m. at St. John's United Methodist Church, Keyport. Entombment will follow at Fair View Mausoleum, Middletown. Arrangements are by John F. Mr. Houben, 77, of Brick, died Feb. 11, 2007, at Ocean Medical Center, Brick. He was a security guard at Marion Security, Red Bank. He enjoyed sports, and the water. He was predeceased by his wife, Sophia in 2000; a stepson, John McLaughlin; and two sisters, Marie Van Brunt and Joan Van Bokkem. He is survived by two stepsons and their wives, Charles and Louann of West Caldwell, and Kenneth and Patty McLaughlin of Toms River; two stepdaughters, Diane McLaughlin of South Palm Beach, Fla., and Alice and Victor Serafin of East Newark; four sisters and three brothers-in-law, Patricia and Ginus Giard of Virginia, Barbara Theyn of Atlantic Highlands, Carol and Salvatore DeStasio of Tinton Falls, and Johanna and Chris Kjesbu of Rumson; and several nieces and nephews. John Randall "Randy" Boulton
Mr. Boulton, 48, of Sayreville, died Jan. 29, 2007, at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. Born in Huntington, W. Va., he resided in Sayreville the past 22 years. He was a self-employed painting contractor and owner of B & W Painting the past 15 years. He was a communicant of Our Lady of Victories Roman Catholic Church, Sayreville. He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Andrea Giammarinaro; his children, triplets John Joseph, Nicholas Nathaniel and Mary Ann Marie, and Randall James, all at home; his mother, Mary Ann Wolf of Manalapan; two brothers, David Boulton of Parlin, and Greg Wolf of Red Bank; and a sister, Virginia Brody of North Caldwell.
