DOLAN - Frank, 68, of Hawthorne, vice president off DCG Inc. and former director of Rehabilitation Engineering Technology Programs at New Jersey Institute of Technology, died Tuesday. He is the husband of Milita Dolan and the father of six children, Leslie Deneault of Alexandria, Va., Karen Dolan of Bethlehem, Pa., Peter Dolan of Tuxedo, N.Y., Susan Rutherford of Fairfax, Va., and Michael Tripovich and Christopher Dolan, both at home. Dolan was cited as one of the founders of Rehabilitation Engineering and had been active in advocating for handicapped accessibility since the early days of access awareness in the 1970s. He served on the board of numerous professional and voluntary organizations, including the New Jersey School Boards Association, DIAL Independent Living Center and the New Jersey Easter Seals Society, including leadership positions in many of the organizations with which he was affiliated. Born in Jersey City, Dolan served in the Army from 1952-1955 and then worked as a military engineer for the Air Force from 1958-1979. Dolan retired from the military and worked for the U.S. Department of Education Office of Civil Rights until his retirement in 1986. He and his wife, Milita, founded DCG Inc., a small but successful consulting firm specializing in architectural barrier- free design, assistive technology and civil rights. He is the author of more than 20 published works, and his doctoral dissertation on Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 was published as a text by the N.J. Division of Vocational Rehabilitation Services. Dolan was the Andrew Jackson Scholar at Rider College in 1969, where he was inducted in to the Alpha Sigma Lamda Chi Chapter. Visiting hours will be held Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at The BROWNING- FORSHAY FUNERAL HOME, 557 Lafayette Ave., Hawthorne. Interment will be at Laurel Grove, Totowa. Services will be held Friday 10 a.m. at the funeral home.

FAVIER - Doris, of Vero Beach, Fla., formerly of Bridgewater, on Sunday, Aug. 15, 1999, wife of J. Gordon Favier, mother of James G. Favier Jr. of Scottsdale, Ariz., sister of Diane VanDuyne of Concord, N.H., grandmother of Alexandra Favier. Service at The LAYTON FUNERAL HOME, 475 Main St., Bedminster, on Friday, Aug. 20, at 11 a.m. Interment Somerset Hills Memorial Park, Basking Ridge. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to Vero Beach Hospice, 1111 36th St., Vero Beach, Fla. 32966.

GINGERELLI - Katherine (nee Marese), of Nutley, on Aug. 17, 1999, beloved wife of the late Anthony Gingerelli, mother of Rob- ert, Frank and Richard, sister of Danny Marese, the late William Marese and Antoinette Powers, also survived by four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. GRAY - Stephen D., age 21, of Plainfield, on Monday, Aug. 16, devoted son of Harty and Dorothy Gray, brother of Harty Jr. and Timothy D., grandson of Dora M. Gray, brother-in-law of Maggie, uncle of Tyra N. and Jaylin K. Gray, also survived by aunts, uncles, cousins, great-aunts and a host of friends. (Panky), of Orange, beloved husband of Joyce, dear father of Lisa Newsome, stepfather of Kimberly Williams and Keith Pinckney, brother of Gertrude, Florence, Lorrie and James, grandfather of Asmar, Terrance and Thajic, nephew of Katherine Garrison. HIGGINS - Rose Adeline (nee Fattorini), of Belleville, on Aug. 17, 1999, beloved wife of the late Albert Higgins, mother of Albert Higgins and the late Robert, sister of Joseph Fattorini, Ida Deleberto, Vera Gray, Mabel Phillips, the late Angelo and Lee Fattorini, also survived by four grandchildren and four great- grandchildren.
