Maryjane Grotyohann
Mrs. Grotyohann, 75, of Lakewood, died Jan. 14, 2007, at Kimball Medical Center, Lakewood. Born in Philadelphia, she resided in the Lincroft section of Middletown, prior to relocating to Lakewood eight years ago. She was a member of the First Church of Christ Scientist, Red Bank. She enjoyed needle crafts, and quilting. She was predeceased by her husband, Arthur G.; and a brother, Philip H. Lauer. She is survived by two sons and one daughter-in-law, Greg and Patty Grotyohann of Southern Shores, N.C., and Kurt Grotyohann of Freehold Township; a daughter, Beth DeMartino of Tinton Falls; a brother and sister-in-law, Theodore W. and Janice Lauer of Mount Juliet, Tenn.; and two granddaughters. Arrangements were by Thompson Memorial Home, Red Bank.
John Chakamian
Mr. Chakamian, 75, of Red Bank, died Jan. 9, 2007, at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank. Born in Cleveland, Ohio, he resided in Red Bank the past 39 years. He was employed at Bayshore Flood Control, Union Beach. Prior to that, he was a retired chemical engineer at Favorite Plastics, Brooklyn, N.Y. He served with the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He was a member of St. Stepanos Armenian Church, Elberon section of Long Branch. He was a member of the Knights of Vartan, and Keyport American Legion. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Jenev; two sons and daughters-in-law, John Michael and Cindy Chakamian of Middletown, and Robert and Alyssa Chakamian of Sparta; a daughter and son-in-law, Sona and Glenn Markarian of Oradell; and four grandchildren. A funeral service was held at St. Stepanos Church. Burial

David O. McNamara
Mr. McNamara, 43, of Sea Bright, died Jan. 6, 2007, at Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch. Born in New York City, he resided in Red Bank before moving to Sea Bright. Mr. McNamara was a radio personality on Sirius Satellite Radio, where he was known as Dave Mac, and hosted shows on The Spectrum, Sirius Blues and Sirius Disorder channels. He also hosted a radio program at the radio station at Brookdale Community College, Lincroft section of Middletown. He was the former musical director for Jody Joseph and the Average Joes band. He is survived by his parents, Leon A. and Patricia D. McNamara; his fiancée, Rita C. Truex; and two brothers, Duncan McNamara and Malcolm McNamara. A Mass of Christian Burial

Mary J. Trachimowicz Grande
Mrs. Grande, 87, of Matawan, died Jan. 5, 2007, at Laurel Bay Health and Rehabilitation Center, Keansburg. Born in Perth Amboy, she resided in the Cliffwood section of Aberdeen, prior to moving to Matawan 35 years ago. She was a homemaker. She was a communicant of St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, Keyport. She was predeceased by a brother, Walter Trachimowicz in 1992; and her twin sisters, Julia Anderson in 1992, and Anna Trachimowicz in 1996. She is survived by her husband, Vito J. Grande; a son, Michael J. Grande of Hazlet; a daughter, Frances Kaeser of Tinton Falls; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Entombment was at St. Joseph's Mausoleum, Keyport. Mr. Boudiette, 65, of Middletown, died Jan. 1, 2007, at Robert Wood Johnson University Medical Center, New Brunswick. Born in Jersey City, he resided in Kearny and Hoboken before moving to Middletown 38 years ago. He was a seventh- and eight-grade science teacher for the Keyport Board of Education for 35 years, retiring in 1998. He enjoyed surf fishing. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Phyllis Trojanwicz Boudiette; two sons, William J. Boudiette of the Belford section of Middletown, and Matthew Boudiette of Red Bank; and a sister, Carol Ann Holden of Sparta. A funeral liturgy will be held Jan. 5 at 9:30 a.m. at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, New Monmouth section of Middletown. Burial

Marion R. Sonner Durner
Mrs. Durner, 93, of Matawan, died Jan. 1, 2007, at Madison Center, Old Bridge. Born in Queens, N.Y., she resided in Red Bank and Brooklyn, N.Y., prior to moving to Matawan 28 years ago. She was a registered nurse at Manufacturers Hanover Trust, New York City, for 25 years, retiring in 1968. She was a first lieutenant with the U.S. Army during World War II. She was a docent at Brookdale Community College, Lincroft section of Middletown, and a volunteer at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank. She enjoyed nature, birds, gardening and travel. She was predeceased by her husband, Edward W. Durner, in 1976. She is survived by three stepdaughters, Gertrude Sherman of Matawan, Ann Van Nimwegan of Tucson, Ariz., and Dorothy Edson of Lexington, Mass.; 17 step-grandchildren; and 31 step-great-grandchildren. A memorial gathering will be held Jan. 5 from 2-4 p.m. at Day Funeral Home, Keyport.
Isabel Morrell Beadleston
Mrs. Beadleston, 97, of Rumson, died Dec. 30, 2006, in Rumson following a brief illness. She was born in Elizabeth. She enjoyed travel, fishing, tennis, which she played until age 93, and the beach. She was an avid gardener and member of the Rumson Garden Club. She was predeceased by her husbands, Dr. Sydney P. Waud and Alfred N. Beadleston Jr.; a sister, Dorothea M. Coleman; a brother, George P. Morrell; and as stepson, Alfred N. Beadleston III. She is survived by two daughters, Isabel W. Hertz and Beverly W. Sutherland; a son, Sydney P. Waud; a stepson, William L. Beadleston; a son-in-law, Daniel L. Hertz Jr.; two daughters-in-law, Nancy S. Waud and Charlotte Beers Beadleston; 19 grandchildren; and 29 great-grandchildren. Catherine Kavookjian
Mrs. Kavookjian, 55, of Fair Haven, died Jan. 1, 2007, following a lengthy battle with cancer. Born in Red Bank, she was raised in Fair Haven. She spent several years employed in the culinary field and was one of the original cooks at her brother Steven's restaurant, Huddy's Inn, Colts Neck. She enjoyed time with her family. She is survived by her husband, Thomas Kavookjian; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Robert Strasser of Fair Haven, and Ryan and Jennifer Strasser of Pittsburgh; a daughter, Leah Kavookjian of Fair Haven; two brothers and sisters-in-law, David and Janet Russek of Florida, and Steven and Annie Russek of Virginia; and a granddaughter. Gary T. Cox
Mr. Cox, of the West End section of Long Branch, died Dec. 23, 2006. Born in Hazleton, Pa., he graduated from the Mining and Mechanical Institute in Freeland, Pa., and the University of Delaware, Newark, where he was a member of the Sigma Nu fraternity. He spent his entire career with Mobil Oil Corp. and served in many positions, retiring in 1995 as manager of public affairs. He especially enjoyed playing golf at the Colts Neck Golf Club and spending time at the beach with his family. Mr. Cox was predeceased by his father, J. Nelson Cox. Surviving are his wife of 41 years, Bobbie; two sons, Dr. Todd Cox and Bradford Deel, both of Washington, D.C.; a daughter and son-in-law, Heather and Sean Rice of Rumson; his mother, Geraldine Cox of Marlton; a sister and brother-in-law, Sandra and Don Patton of Punta Gorda, Fla.; and two granddaughters, Taylor and Morgan Rice. Mildred Trocchia
Mildred "Millie" Trocchia, 85, a lifelong Red Bank resident, died Dec. 20, 2006, in Long Branch. She was a Red Bank High School graduate. Mrs. Trocchia worked as a cafeteria aide for the Red Bank school system for 18 years. She was a communicant of St. Anthony of Padua Church, Red Bank. She was predeceased by her husband of 51 years, Andrew F. Trocchia; and three sisters, Mabel Richard, Mary Williams and Josephine Butler. Surviving are two daughters and sons-in-law, Diana and Wolfgang Pitsch of Brick, and Patricia and Richard Garlipp of Long Branch; a son and daughter-in-law, Andrew F. Jr. and Denise Trocchia of Fair Haven; a sister, Rose Chevy of Florida; eight grandchildren; and several brothers and sisters-in-law, cousins, nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial
