John P. Dolan

A Mass for John P. Dolan, 38, a lifelong resident of Cranford, will be at 9:30 a.m. tomorrow in St. Michael Church, Cranford, after the funeral from the Dooley Funeral Home, 218 North Ave., Cranford.

Mr. Dolan, who died Sunday at home, worked for the Cranford Department of Public Works for more than 18 years.

An exempt fireman, he was a call man with the Cranford Fire Department for 13 years.

Mr. Dolan was a member of the Cranford Elks Lodge.

Surviving are his wife, Celeste; a son, Christian; a daughter, April; a stepson, Kenneth; his parents, Barbara and Leonard R. Dolan Jr.; a sister, Mrs. Cathleen Belluscio, and brothers, Leonard R. III, Timothy and James.

Albert DeMarco

08/01/01

A Mass for Albert DeMarco, 78, of Warren will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Our Lady of the Mount Church, Warren, after the funeral from the Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung.

Mr. DeMarco died Monday in the Burdette Tomlin Memorial Hospital, Cape May Courthouse.

He was a maintenance engineer with the Essex County Maintenance Department in Newark for 12 years before retiring in 1989. Earlier, Mr. DeMarco owned the Kuick Stop Luncheonette in Newark.

An Army veteran of World War II, he was a member of the American Legion post in Newark.

Born in Newark, Mr. DeMarco lived in Warren for seven years.

Surviving are his wife, Evangeline; a son, Dr. Angelo; a daughter, Mrs. Patrice Ferns; a brother, Thomas; a sister, Mrs. Sue Campisi, and a grandchild.

Dorothy Crowley

A Mass for Mrs. Dorothy Crowley, 80, of Chatham will be at 10 a.m. tomorrow in St. Patrick’s Church, Chatham. Arrangements are by the William A. Bradley & Son Funeral Home, Chatham.

Mrs. Crowley died Wednesday in the Morris View Nursing Home, Morris Township.

She volunteered for the Chatham Emergency Squad from 1960 through 1970, the Chatham Women’s Club from 1957 through 1982, the Chatham Fish & Game Club from 1960 through 1980 and the Madison Golf Club from 1975 through 1982.

Born in Northbridge, Mass., she lived in Chatham for 35 years.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Katherine Marien; a son, John, and six grandchildren.

Martin A. Clancy

08/01/01

Martin A. Clancy, 85, of Belmar died Monday in the MediCenter, Neptune.

A Mass will be at 11 a.m. Friday in St. Rose Church, Belmar, after the funeral from the Paul A. McDonough Funeral Home, 304 8th Ave., Belmar.

Mr. Clancy was a train man for the Lehigh Valley Railroad from 1938 through 1969.

He was a member of the United Transportation Union.

Born in Jersey City, Mr. Clancy moved to Belmar 15 years ago.

Surviving are Frances, his wife of 59 years; sons, Martin A. and Harvey Schneider; a daughter, Mary F.; sisters, Mrs. Susan Romandetti and Mrs. Nora Janelli, and two grandchildren.

Joseph Accordino

08/01/01

A Mass for Joseph Accordino, 74, of Naples, Fla., a former New Jersey resident, will be at 9:30 a.m. tomorrow in St. James Church, Totowa, after the funeral from the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd., Totowa.

Mr. Accordino, who died Saturday at home, was a laborer with Local 239 and a marshal for the Borough of Totowa before retiring many years ago.

An Army veteran of World War II, he was a member of the American Legion Post 227 of Totowa.

Born in Newark, he lived in Totowa before moving to Florida in 1988.

Surviving are his wife, Carmen; a son, Rick; a daughter, Mrs. Lisa Karas; sisters, Mrs. Tessie Amelio and Mrs. Lilian Trabucco, and three grandchildren.

Julia D’Agosta

A Mass for Mrs. Julia D’Agosta, 86, of Kearny will be at 9 a.m. tomorrow in Our Lady Queen of Peace Church, North Arlington, after the funeral from the Parow Funeral Home, 185 Ridge Rd., North Arlington.

Mrs. D’Agosta, who died Wednesday in West Hudson Hospital, Kearny, was a packer with Colgate-Palmolive in Jersey City for 27 years before retiring in 1975.

Born in Jersey City, she lived in North Arlington for 35 years before moving to Kearny five years ago.

Surviving are a son, Dominick R.; a daughter, Mrs. Judith J. Vanancio; sisters, Mrs. Rose Hammer and Mrs. Mary Condern, and two grandchildren.
