Nicholas A. DeRose, 87, of Morris Township died yesterday in Morristown Memorial Hospital.
A Liturgy will be at 9:30 a.m. Monday in Notre Dame of Mount Carmel Church, Cedar Knolls, after the funeral from the Par-Troy Funeral Home, 95 Parsippany Rd., Parsippany.
Mr. DeRose was a housing inspector with the Newark Housing Authority for 10 years before retiring in 1980. He owned and operated N.A. DeRose Paints from 1946 to 1970.
He served in the Army during World War II.
Born in Newark, he lived in Irvington before moving to Morris Township last year.
Surviving are a daughter, Sandra Graziano; a sister, Marie; a brother, John, and two grandchildren.

NEW YORK, N.Y. -- John P. Eagan, 48, of Verona, N.J., died here yesterday in St. Vincent Hospital.
A Mass will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Our Lady of the Lake Church, Verona. Arrangements are by the Prout Funeral Home, Verona.
Mr. Eagan was a carpenter/foreman with OA Peterson Construction Co. in Montclair, N.J., for 22 years.
He was graduated from William Paterson University, Wayne, N.J., with a Bachelor's Degree in accounting.
Mr. Eagan was a member of the Carpenters Union Local 143, past president of the Anglers Fishing Club in West Orange, N.J., a board member and coach of the Verona Baseball League, a cubmaster for Cub Scout Pack 5 in Verona and a coach for Verona Eagles Football.
Born in Kearny, N.J., he was a lifelong resident of Verona.
Surviving are his wife, Theresa A.; a daughter, Ashley; sons, Jared and Tyler; his father, Charles Eagan, and brothers, Charles Jr. and Raymond.

Services for Michael C. Foukas, 38, of Athens, Ga., formerly of New Jersey, will be at 10 a.m. Monday in St. Georges Greek Orthodox Church, Clifton, after the funeral from the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton.
Mr. Foukas died Tuesday at home.
He was research manager at the Office of Information Technology Outreach Services at the University of Georgia, Athens, where he was a doctoral candidate.
A 1994 honors graduate of the University of New Mexico, he was named to Whos Who in American Colleges and Universities.
Born in Ridgewood, he lived in Pompton Plains and Tijeras, N.M., before moving to Georgia in 1998.
Surviving are his father, Constantine Foukas; a brother, George; a sister, Elaine Wilbourn, and his grandmother, Helen Kosakowski.

Robert Cullen Francis Sr., 74, of Florham Park died yesterday in Morristown Memorial Hospital.
A Mass will be at 10 a.m. Monday in St. Raphael Church, Livingston, after the funeral from the Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home of Livingston, 145 E. Mount Pleasant Ave.
Mr. Francis owned and operated the All American Limousine Co., Florham Park, for the past seven years. Earlier, he had been a vice president of the Frank B. Hall Insurance Agency in New York for nine years and, before that, he owned the Robert C. Francis Agency, an insurance agency, in West Orange.
In 1951, he earned a bachelors degree in English Literature from Rutgers University, Newark.
Mr. Francis served in the Naval Reserves from 1946 through 1954.
He was a member of the Mountain Club and American Legion Post 22, both of West Orange, and the Columbia High School Boosters, Maplewood.
Born in Newark, he lived in Maplewood and West Orange before moving to Florham Park 16 years ago.
Surviving are his wife, Mary Anne; sons, Jack, Timothy and David Charles; daughters, Mary Elizabeth Francis, Jeanne Marie Francis, Clare Michelle Moss, Nina Dennis and Linda Lou Butler, and 11 grandchildren.

BOYNTON BEACH, Fla. -- Services were held for Mrs. Philomena Gisi, 98, of Boynton Beach, who died here Tuesday in the Hospice by the Sea. Arrangements are by the Boynton Memorial Chapel, Boynton Beach.
Mrs. Gisi was a dressmaker.
Born in Benevento, Italy, she moved to Florida in 1923.
Surviving are brothers, Mario and Vittorio Pengue, and sisters, Albina and Angelina Pengue and Generosa Sanzari.

Memorial services will be scheduled for Mrs. Edna Betty Hill, 90, of Pompano Beach, Fla., in Livingston.
Mrs. Hill died Thursday in Holy Cross Hospital in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.
Born in Jersey City, she lived in Livingston for 36 years and Barefoot Bay, Fla., for 15 years before moving to Pompano Beach in 1991.
Surviving are daughters, Anne Crawford and Ginger Keimel; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
