A Mass for Edward P. McGovern Sr., 83, of Linden will be at 11 a.m. Monday in St. Elizabeth Church, Linden, after the funeral from the Werson Funeral Home, 635 No. Wood Ave., Linden.
Mr. McGovern, who died Thursday at home, was a warehouseman for Tenco in Linden for 25 years before retiring in 1981.
He served in the Army during World War II.
Born in Elizabeth, he lived in Colonia before moving to Linden 25 years ago.
Surviving are sons, Edward P. Jr. and Terrence J.; brothers, William Reggie and Eugene, and sisters, Marion Brandt, Dorothy Dunn, Alice Wray and Deborah Flynn.
Frank J. Mara, 86, was police captain

SCRANTON, Pa. -- Frank J. Mara, 86, of Lake Ariel, a former New Jersey resident and Jersey City, N.J., Police captain, died here yesterday in Moses Taylor Hospital.
A Mass will be 10 a.m. Tuesday in St. Thomas More Church, Lake Ariel, following the funeral in the James Wilson Funeral Home Inc., Route 296, Lake Ariel.
Mr. Mara was a retired captain of the Jersey City Police Department. He was one of the first police officers to serve in the emergency service unit of the police department.
Mr. Mara served in the Army during World War II, attaining the rank of staff sergeant, and fought in the invasion of Normandy.
He was a graduate of St. Peters College, Jersey City.
A native of Jersey City, N.J., he lived in Lake Ariel.
Surviving are sons, Michael and Francis; a daughter, Peggy Corrada; a brother, Edward; sisters, Florrie Lavelle and Paula Mara, and two grandchildren.
Robert L. Perry Sr.

A Mass for Robert L. Perry Sr., 60, of Laurence Harbor will be at 9 a.m. Tuesday in St. Lawrence Church, Laurence Harbor, after the funeral in the Day Funeral Home, 361 Maple Pl., Keyport.
Mr. Perry, who died Thursday at home, was a diesel mechanic for Amerada Hess, Perth Amboy, for 36 years.
Mr. Perry was a charter member of Pappy Perry Rod and Gun Club, Lawrence Harbor.
A native of Spotswood, he lived in Lawrence Harbor for 30 years.
Surviving are daughters, Debra J. Perry and Nora Schmitz; a son, Robert L. Jr.; brothers, Earl, Raymond, James and Ronald; sisters, Joyce Ponzio, Ruth Ward and Bernice Bennett, and six grandchildren.
George Philip Whitleigh

A Mass for George Philip Whitleigh, 53, a lifelong resident of Kenilworth, will be at 10 a.m. Monday in St. Theresa Church, Kenilworth, after the funeral from the Mastapeter Funeral Home, 400 Faitoute Ave., Roselle Park.
Mr. Whitleigh, who died Thursday in Rahway Hospital, was a roofing estimator for Installed Product Inc., a division of Home Depot. in South Plainfield for many years.
Earlier, he was a teacher in the Newark and Roselle school systems.
He earned a bachelors degree in elementary education from Newark State College in 1971.
Surviving are a son, George S.; daughters, Jeniphur and Lauren; a brother, Gregory M. Sr.; a sister, Donna Schimmenti, and companion, Lisa Lembo.

Services for Mrs. Tillie Razumas of Elizabeth will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Saints Peter and Paul Church, Ripley Place, Elizabeth, after the funeral from the Leonard-Lee Funeral Home, 301 E. Blancke St., Linden.
Mrs. Razumas, who died Thursday in Father Hudson House, Elizabeth, was an assembler for the Singer Manufacturing Co. in Elizabeth for five years before leaving many years ago. Earlier, she was a seamstress at the Riccie Sewing Machine Co. in Elizabeth.
She was a member of the Saints Peter and Paul Senior Citizens Club, Elizabeth.
Born in Lithuania, she came to Elizabeth in 1920.
Surviving are daughters, Tillie August and Ann Youtkus; five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild.

A Mass for Mrs. Laura Racon, 95, of Linden will be at 10 a.m. Monday in St. Theresa Church, Linden, after the funeral from the Werson Funeral Home, 635 No. Wood Ave., Linden.
Mrs. Racon, who died Thursday in Father Hudson House, Elizabeth, was a seamstress for the Simmons Manufacturing Co. in Elizabeth for 35 years before retiring in 1969.
She was a member of the Thursday Senior Citizens Club at the Gregorio Center and the Murawski Powers Friendship Club, both of Linden.
Born in Adams, Mass., she lived in Elizabeth for 20 years before moving to Linden 48 years ago.
Surviving are daughters, Eleanore H. Dehler and Rose L. Pancurak; a son, Jacob F.; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
