A Blessing for James P. Quinn, 81, of Whiting will be at 3:30 p.m. tomorrow in the Anderson & Campbell Funeral Home, 115 Lacey Rd., Whiting.
Mr. Quinn died Thursday in Community Medical Center, Toms River.
He was the supervisor of production control with the U.S. Postal Services Bulk Facility, Jersey City, before retiring in 1985.
An Army veteran of World War II, he was a recipient of the Good Conduct Medal, the Distinguished Service Badge and the Asiatic/Pacific Service Medal.
Mr. Quinn was a member of Elks Lodge 2361, West New York and the Crestwood Entertainers and Show Stoppers.
Born in New York, he lived in North Bergen before moving to Whiting in 1986.
Surviving are sons, Chris and Hans Sander; sisters, Mary O'Reilly and Margaret; a brother, Edward, and his companion, Elizabeth Barnes.
Alfred Parker III, police office in Springfield, 62

Services for Alfred Parker III, 62, of Berkeley Heights will be at 8 o'clock Tuesday evening in the Antioch Baptist Church, Meckes Street, Springfield. Arrangements are by Judkins Colonial Home, Plainfield.
Mr. Parker, who died Wednesday in Overlook Hospital, Summit, was an officer with the Springfield Police Department for many years before retiring.
He was also a security guard at Bell Labs, Murray Hill, for seven years.
Mr. Parker was a Little League coach in Springfield.
Active with Antioch Baptist Church, he was a past president of the senior choir, an usher and member of the trustee board.
Born in Elizabeth, he lived in Springfield before moving to Berkeley Heights 26 years ago.
Surviving are sons, Ted A. and Tyrone G.; a sister, Lula Owens, and nine grandchildren.
Rene A. Thomas

A Mass for Rene A. Thomas, 78, of Sayreville will be at 9 a.m. Tuesday in Our Lady of Victories Church, Sayreville, after the funeral from the Maliszewski Memorial Home, 121 Main St., Sayreville. Burial will be in the New Calvary Cemetery, Parlin.
Mr. Thomas died Friday in the Raritan Bay Medical Center, Perth Amboy.
He was a supervisor at Hercules Inc., Parlin, for 40 years before retiring 16 years ago.
An Army veteran of World War II, Mr. Thomas served as a paratrooper in the 101st Airborne Division. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4699, Sayreville and the 25-Year Club at Hercules Inc.
He was an extraordinary minister at Our Lady of Victories Church, Sayreville.
Born in Three Rivers Canada, he lived in Vermont before moving to Sayreville 56 years ago.
Surviving are his wife, Peg; a son, Michael W.; a daughter, Patricia Thompson; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
James Risk, 81, firm president

A memorial service will be scheduled for James V. Risk, 81, of Metuchen, who died Thursday at home. Arrangements are by the Costello-Runyon Funeral Home, Metuchen.
Mr. Risk was president of Rheem International, New York City, for many years before retiring in 1985. After retiring, he was vice chairman of Golden Gate Bank, based in San Francisco.
Mr. Risk served as a deacon and elder of the Reformed Church of Metuchen.
He also was a member of the Metuchen Country Club.
Born in Pennsylvania, he moved to Metuchen in 1953.
Surviving are a daughter, Susan H.; a son, Mark D., and a brother, Del.
Helen Dziamba, administrator, 73

Services for Mrs. Helen Dziamba, 73, of Linden, will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in St. John the Baptist Russian Orthodox Church, Rahway, after the funeral from the Werson Funeral Home, 635 N. Wood Ave., Linden.
Mrs. Dziamba died Friday in Rahway Hospital.
She was an administrator for Cadillac Plastics, Linden, for several years before retiring in 1974.
Previously, she was an executive secretary to the vice president of finance at Baker Industries, Cedar Knolls. Before that, she was a secretary of personnel at Burry Biscuits in Elizabeth, for seven years.
She earlier worked in the treasury department of Ebasco Services, New York City.
A trustee of the church board at St. John the Baptist Church, she was also a member of the St. Mary Altar Guild at the church.
Born in Jersey City, Mrs. Dziamba moved to Linden 50 years ago.
Surviving are her husband, William; a daughter, Linda Ann Cassidy; a brother, John Swahla, Jr., and a grandchild.
