Services for Ellison Brown Sr., 75, of Elizabeth will be at 11 a.m. Monday in the New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church, 856 E. Jersey St., Elizabeth. Arrangements are by the Nesbitt Funeral Home, Elizabeth.
Mr. Brown died Tuesday in Newark Beth Israel Medical Center.
He was an engineer with the New York City Transit Authority for 30 years before retiring in 1982.
Born in New York City, Mr. Brown lived in Elizabeth for many years.
Surviving are his wife, Eula; a son, Cheves; daughters, Linda Brown, Susan Vann and Sandra Kirkman; stepsons, Daniel Wilson, Derrick Holloman and Darryl Holloman; stepdaughters, Desiree Dick, Wilda Wilson, Doreen Bryant and DeShante Dunbar; grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Salvatore A. Zambolla

A Mass for Salvatore A. Zambolla, 71, of Norwalk, Conn., a former New Jersey resident, will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, Scotch Plains, after the funeral from the Walter J. Johnson Funeral Home, 803 Raritan Rd., Clark.
Mr. Zambolla died Friday in the Honey Hill Care Center, Norwalk.
He was a mechanical engineer with Foster Wheeler and the Bechtel Corp. before retiring several years ago.
Mr. Zambolla served in the Air Force during the Korean War.
Born in Newark, he moved to Norwalk several years ago.
Surviving are daughters, Karen Scatamacchia and Jo Ellen Brayer; sisters, Mary Sollitto and Roseanne Menzione, and four grandchildren.
Mary Eleanor Wortmann

Mrs. Mary Eleanor Wortmann, 79, a lifelong resident of West Caldwell, died yesterday at home.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the Presbyterian Church of West Caldwell. Arrangements are by the Dancy Funeral Home, Caldwell.
Mrs. Wortmann was a bookkeeper with the Essex County Improvement Authority, Fairfield, before retiring in 1991. Previously, she had been a cafeteria manager with the Caldwell/West Caldwell Board of Education.
She served as an elder and church treasurer with the Presbyterian Church of West Caldwell.
Mrs. Wortmann was a member of the Order the Eastern Star 61, Caldwell.
Surviving are her husband, Herbert A.; a daughter, Deborah A. Detterman; a son, Bruce H.; brothers, Everett and Alan VanNess, and four grandchildren.

Leo J. Picconi, 53, of Lake Hiawatha died yesterday in Morristown Memorial Hospital.
A Mass will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in St. Peter the Apostle Church, Parsippany. Arrangements are by the Stephen J. Priola Parsippany Funeral Service, Lake Hiawatha.
Mr. Picconi was a licensed electrician with Coates Electric before retiring. He was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 102, Parsippany.
Born in Franklin, he lived in Boonton before moving to Lake Hiawatha 40 years ago.
Surviving are his wife, Wilma E.; a son, Robert J.; daughters, Tamara L. Costa Picconi and Jessica E. Alfaro; his parents, Sam and Loretta Picconi; brothers, Robert and Sam Jr.; sisters, Diane Piccone,

Services for James H. Sinner, 40, of Parsippany will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Church of the Transfiguration, Towaco. Arrangements are by the Keri Memorial Funeral Home, Lincoln Park.
Mr. Sinner, who died Wednesday in Morristown Memorial Hospital, was the general manager of Carnegie Manufacturing in Fairfield for 16 years.
He was a coach with the Parsippany Soccer Club and a member of the Lake Intervale Association of Parsippany.
Born in Pequannock, Mr. Sinner lived in Towaco before moving to Parsippany eight years ago.
Surviving are his wife, Christine; daughters, Toni and Sandi; a son, James; his parents, Margaret and George Sinner; brothers, George C. and Thomas S., and a sister, Barbara A.
Avelino Rico

A Mass for Avelino Rico, 86, of Bloomfield will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Sacred Heart Church, Bloomfield, after the funeral from the LaMonica Memorial Home, 299 Bloomfield Ave., Bloomfield.
Mr. Rico, who died Friday at home, was a maintenance supervisor for AT&T in Warren for 10 years before retiring in 1994. Previously, he had been a carpenter with Nuts & Bolts Co., Irvington, for four years.
An Army veteran of World War II, Mr. Rico was stationed in the Philippines and was a survivor of the Bataan Death March.
Born in the Philippines, he lived in Belleville before moving to Bloomfield in 1984.
Surviving are his wife, Simeona; sons, Mario, William, Nestor and Benedicto; daughters, Arceli Cortez, Felicitas Zoppi, Mercedes Cortez and Maria Luz Mendolia; sisters, Fortunata Linaban and Sixta Cudanes; 15 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
