Graveside services for Mrs. Elizabeth M. Merchant, 89, of Wharton will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington. Arrangements are by the Wilfred Armitage Funeral Home, Kearny.
Mrs. Merchant died Saturday in Morris View Nursing Home, Morris Township.
Born in Scotland, she lived in Kearny before moving to Wharton.
Surviving are a daughter, Mary Edmiston; sons, Thomas and Robert; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

A Mass for Mrs. Helen McNamee, 98, of Wall Township will be scheduled in St. Catharines Church, Spring Lake, after the funeral from the Reilly Funeral Home, 8th Avenue, Belmar.
Mrs. McNamee died Sunday in Jersey Shore Medical Center, Neptune.
She served as an Army Nurse during World War II.
Born in Newark, she lived in Belleville and South Belmar before moving to Wall Township eight months ago.
Richard T. Sanford Sr.

SANFORD, Maine -- Richard T. Sanford Sr., 75, of West Newfield, a former resident of Kingwood, N.J., died here yesterday in the Greenwood Center Nursing Home.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main St., Flemington, N.J.
Mr. Sanford was a farmer and a farrier for many years before retiring several years ago. He also worked for Art Color, Inc., Dunellen, N.J.
He served in the Army during World War II.
Born in Hillside, N.J., he lived in Kingwood before moving to West Newfield last year.
Surviving are sons, Richard Jr., Charles and Joseph; daughters, Shirley Stambaugh and Nancy Prince; 13 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
Marion L. Matullo

Mrs. Marion L. Matullo, 91, of Holiday City at Berkeley died yesterday at home.
A Mass will be at 9:30 a.m. Thursday in St. Maximillian Kolbe Church, Toms River, after the funeral from the Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home, 26 Mule Rd., Toms River.
Mrs. Matullo was a seamstress with the B&J Co. in Newark for 22 years before retiring in 1975.
She was a member of the International Ladies Garment Workers Union and the Singles Club of Holiday City.
Born in Burke, N.Y., Mrs. Matullo she lived in Colonia before moving to Holiday City at Berkeley.
Surviving are sons, Robert and Ron; 12 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Anne Lonergan

Graveside services for Miss Anne Lonergan, 53, of North Arlington will be at 2:30 p.m. Thursday in Restland Memorial Park, 77 DeForest Ave., East Hanover.
Miss Lonergan, who died March 5 at home, was employed with the State of New Jersey Division for the Blind, Newark, for 26 years before retiring.
Born in Newark, she moved to North Arlington 20 years ago.
Peter LaCorte

A Mass for Peter LaCorte, 77, of Roselle Park will be at 9 a.m. tomorrow in Church of the Assumption, Roselle Park, after the funeral from the Mastapeter Funeral Home, 400 Faitoute Ave.
Mr. LaCorte, who died Saturday in Delair Nursing Home in Linden, was a mailman for the U.S. Postal Service in Roselle for 25 years before retiring in 1987.
He served in the Army during peacetime.
Born in Elizabeth, he lived in Roselle Park for 37 years.
Surviving are sons, Edward P. and Phillip; a brother, Rosario, and a sister, Anne Benz.
