Services for Miss Louise M. Arangis, 92, of West Caldwell will be at 10 a.m. tomorrow in Shooks Cedar Grove Funeral Home, 486 Pompton Ave., Cedar Grove.
Miss Arangis died Sunday in Mountainside Hospital, Glen Ridge.
She was principal of the Seth Boyden Elementary School in Maplewood for 25 years before retiring in 1976.
She authored A Treasury of Elementary Ideas and Techniques which was translated for publication in Japan. Miss Arangis also wrote "A Treasury of Creative Handcraft Activities for Elementary Teachers" and "The Red, White and Blue Art Ideas Handbook", both published by Parker Publications, West Nyack, N.Y., and several articles for Arts and Crafts Crochet magazine.
Miss Arangis earned a bachelors degree and a masters degree in elementary education from New York University.
She was a past president of the New Jersey Division of the American Camping Association, and served as camp director of Old First Church Dennis Memorial Camp in Stillwater for more than 20 years. She was also a member of the New Jersey Education Association and the Elementary Principals Association of Maplewood and South Orange.
Miss Arangis was a member of the Young Men's Christian Association and The Reeves Arboretum, both of Summit, and the Friends of the Library, Springfield.
Born in Newark, she lived in Maplewood and Springfield before moving to West Caldwell in 1998.
Fedele Phil Tavormina, 93, plumbing contractor in Elizabeth

A Mass for Fedele Phil Tavormina, 93, of Elizabeth will be at 9:30 a.m. Friday in St. Anthony's Church, Elizabeth, after the funeral from the Corsentino Home for Funerals, 620 Second Ave., Elizabeth.
Mr. Tavormina died Monday in the Cornell Hall Nursing Home, Union.
He was a plumbing contractor and owner-operator of County Plumbing and Heating, Elizabeth, for 53 years before retiring in 1985.
A former member of Plumbers Local 245, Elizabeth, Mr. Tavormina also belonged to the master plumbers associations in Elizabeth and Rahway and the examining board of the City of Elizabeth plumbing department. He was also a member of the Senior Citizens Club at St. Anthony's Church, the Peterstown Senior Citizens Club and the Friday Night Social Club, all in Elizabeth.
Born in Ribera, Sicily, Italy, he came to Elizabeth in 1920.
Surviving are Jennie, his wife of 71 years; sons, Santo and Charles; a sister, Carmela Bellero; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Ray L. Stewart

Ray L. Stewart, 82, of Cranford died yesterday in South Mountain Health Care and Rehabilitation Center, Union.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in the Mastapeter Funeral Home, 400 Faitoute Ave., Roselle Park.
Mr. Stewart was a steel pressman for Goodman Steel Co., Chicago, Ill., for 20 years before retiring 20 years ago.
He served in the Army during World War II.
Born in Loysville, Pa., he lived in Harrisburg, Pa., and Chicago before moving to Cranford six years ago.
Surviving are daughters, Barbara J. Powers and Rae E. Hayes; sisters, Sarah Stubblefield and Beverly; five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Maria Polazzi

A Mass for Mrs. Maria Polazzi, 79, of Bloomingdale will be at 9 a.m. Friday in St. Anthony's Church, Butler. Arrangements are by the Morrison Funeral Home, Butler.
Mrs. Polazzi died Saturday in the Wanaque Care Center, Wanaque.
She was a bookkeeper for J.I. Kislak Co., Newark, for 20 years before retiring in 1978.
Mrs. Polazzi was a member of the Holiday City Homeowners Association.
Born in Belgium, she lived in Toms River before moving to Bloomingdale.
Surviving are sons, George and Joseph; a sister, Alice Goolenaers, and four grandchildren.
Hilda Lombardi-Allen

A Mass for Mrs. Hilda Lombardi-Allen, 56, of Clifton will be at 9:15 a.m. Friday in St. Michael's Church, Union, after the funeral from the Haeberle & Barth Funeral Home, 1100 Pine Ave., Union.
Mrs. Lombardi-Allen, who died Monday at home, was an administrative assistant at the Passaic Valley Sewerage Commission, Newark, for eight years.
Born in Irvington, she lived in Union before moving to Clifton 10 years ago.
Surviving are daughters, Lorrie Hasenauer and Christine Wolanski; a sister, Mary Oakley; five grandchildren, and her fiance, Steve Macko.
