A Mass for Mrs. Margaret Mary Quinn, 94, of Union will be at 10:30 a.m. tomorrow in Holy Spirit Church, Union, after the funeral from the McCracken Funeral Home, 1500 Morris Ave., Union.
Mrs. Quinn, who died Tuesday in the Father Hudson House Hospice in Elizabeth, was a member of the Rosary Altar Society and the 60-Plus Club, both at Holy Spirit Church.
Born in Jersey City, she lived in Elizabeth before moving to Union 15 years ago.
Surviving are daughters, Marguerite Largey and Joan Juzefyk; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Richard A. Herold Sr.

A memorial service for Richard A. Herold Sr., 64, of Iselin will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Costello-Runyon Funeral Home, 568 Middlesex Ave., Metuchen.
Mr. Herold, who died Saturday in the Halifax Medical Center, Daytona, Fla., managed an H&R Block office in Edison.
Previously, he owned Herold's Trucking Co. in Iselin and had worked for the United Parcel Service in Raritan Center.
He served in the Army during peacetime.
Born in Union, he lived in Iselin most of his life. He also maintained a home in Daytona.
Surviving are sons, Richard Jr. and Andrew; a sister, Joan Ferguson; a brother, Joe; half-brothers, John and Danny; half-sisters, Kathy and Margaret, and a grandchild.
James Halladay

James Halladay, 72, of Carteret died yesterday at home.
A Mass will be at 9:30 a.m. Saturday in Sacred Heart of Jesus Christ Church, Carteret, after the funeral from the Chubenko Funeral Home, 625 Port Reading Ave., Port Reading.
Mr. Halladay owned the James Halladay Co., Carteret, a bingo supply company, for 30 years before retiring in 1992.
Born in Rahway, he lived in Carteret for 40 years.
Surviving are Doris, his wife of 52 years; a daughter, Patricia McDonald; sons, James, Robert, Glenn, Gordon and Wesley, and 11 grandchildren.
Elizabeth Murray

Mrs. Elizabeth Murray, 79, of Short Hills and Stuart, Fla., died yesterday in Overlook Hospital, Summit.
A Mass will be at 10 a.m. tomorrow in St. Rose of Lima Church, 50 Short Hills Ave., Short Hills.
Arrangements are by the Smith and Smith Funeral Home, Springfield.
Mrs. Murray earned a bachelors degree in home economics from Immaculata College, Immaculata, Pa., in 1944.
She was a member of the Short Hills Racquets Club and the St. Rose of Lima Rosary Society, and a lady of the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem, an international order.
Mrs. Murray was also a member of the Stuart Yacht and Country Club in Florida.
Born in Philadelphia, she moved to Short Hills in 1958 and also maintained a residence in Stuart.
Surviving are her husband, Robert E.; a daughter, Joanne E. Evans; sons, Robert E. Jr., Gregory S., Dr. Richard S. Murray, Donald J. and David J.; a brother, Dr. John J. Stanton, and 11 grandchildren.
Michael Schmid, active in Monroe

A Mass for Michael Schmid, 78, of Monroe will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Immaculate Conception Church, Spotswood, after the funeral from the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home, 205 Rhode Hall Rd., Monroe.
Mr. Schmid died Tuesday in the Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge Division.
A heat and frost insulating technician in the asbestos industry for more than 50 years, he worked for the Asbestos Workers Union Local 89, Trenton, before retiring in 1984.
In 1976, Mr. Schmid opened the Especially For You Florist Shoppes in Monroe.
A Marine Corps veteran of World War II, he received the Purple Heart for injuries he received during combat in Guam on Sept. 26, 1944.
Mr. Schmid was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 262, Monroe Township.
He was also a member of the American Legion Post 253, Spotswood, and the Corporal Philip A. Reynolds Detachment Marine Corps League, Freehold.
He served on the Monroe Board of Education for six years during the 1960s.
He was also a member of Volunteer Fire Co 1 and the Democratic Club, both of Monroe Township.
Born in Kunzenburg, Germany, Mr. Schmid moved to Monroe 56 years ago.
Surviving are Bette, his wife of 56 years; a son, Michael J.; a daughter, Marlene Rogala; a sister, Dora Hammond; a brother, Allen Marfitt, and three grandchildren.
