Erlean Robinson of Somerville died on Wednesday, September 26, at the Somerset Medical Center in Somerville.
Born in Westfield, she had lived in Plainfield prior to moving to Somerville 47 years ago.
Mrs. Robinson had been employed as a supervisor for RCA Corporation in Somerville for 35 years before retiring. She attended Plainfield schools and was a member of the Mount Zion African Methodist Episcopal Church in Plainfield.
She was predeceased by her husband, Harry Robinson. Surviving are three sons, F. Donald Ross of Marina Del Rey, Calif., Thomas Ross of Huntington Beach, Calif. and Wilton G. Robinson of Somerville; a daughter, Alta V. Ross of Somerville; two sisters, Martha Jones of Plainfield and Lou King of Garden Grove, Calif., and a brother, Henry Palmer, Jr. of Livingston.
Funeral services were held on Monday, October 1, at the Memorial Funeral Home, 155 South Avenue in Fanwood. Interment
followed at Hillside Cemetery
in Scotch Plains.

Helen L. Young

Helen L. Young, 92, of Bordentown died on Monday, September 24, at her home.
Born in Newark, she had lived in Westfield for 22 years before relocating to Bordentown in 1990.
Mrs. Young had been a personnel investigator with Western Electric in Union for many years prior to her retirement in 1974.
She was a member of the Rosary Society and the Senior Citizens, as well as a food pantry volunteer, all at St. Mary's Church in Bordentown.
She also was a life member of the Telephone Pioneers of America and a volunteer at Rahway Hospital and Holy Trinity School in Westfield.
Mrs. Young was a Past President of the Rosary Society of St. Augustine's Church in Newark.
Surviving are a daughter, Patricia McEwan, and three grandchildren.
A Mass was offered on Thursday, September 27, at St. Mary's Church.
Arrangements were under the direction of the Huber-Moore Funeral Home in Bordentown.
Harry Perrine

Harry Perrine, 94, Longtime Custodian; Also Owned Metal and Roofing Business Harry E. Perrine, 94, died on Wednesday, September 26, at the Woodlands Genesis Eldercare Center in Plainfield.
Born in Scotch Plains, he had lived in various area communities, mostly Plainfield and Mountainside, before moving to Wappinger Falls, N.Y., upon his retirement eight years ago.
He had resided at the Woodlands for four years.
Mr. Perrine had been employed by the Plainfield Board of Education as a custodian for 40 years, working in various schools throughout the district, including Jefferson, Lincoln and the high school.
One of the last known ceiling tin smiths in the area, he later became the owner and operator of the Bremmer Street Metal and Roofing Company in Plainfield.
Mr. Perrine was a member of the North Plainfield Police Reserve and served with the Civil Defense in Plainfield during World War II and the Korean Conflict.
He bowled for many years with various leagues in Somerset and Union Counties.
He was predeceased by his wife, Margaret Perrine, in 1972; a daughter, Shirley G. Perrine, in 1933; a son, Charles W. Perrine, in 1987, and a grandson, Christopher Perrine.
Mr. Perrine was also preceded in death by his 14 brothers and sisters.
Surviving are two daughters, Barbara A. Perrine of the Neshanic section of Branchburg and Phyllis E. Von Holten of Northport, Fla.; two sons, Frederick L. Perrine of South Plainfield and Harry R. Perrine, Jr. of Tuckerton; 11 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held on Friday, September 28, at the McCriskin Home For Funerals in South Plainfield.
Interment followed at Hillside Cemetery
in Scotch Plains.
Noel J. Foster

Noel J. Foster, 40, Was Aon Executive; Had Come to Aid of Colleague at WTC Noel J. Foster, 40, of Bridgewater died on Tuesday, September 11, while at his office in the World Trade Center in New York City.
Born in Oceanside, N.Y., he had lived in Westchester County, N.Y., and in Harrison, Bridgewater and Scotch Plains before returning to Bridgewater two years ago.
Mr. Foster was a Vice President and producing broker with Aon Re, Inc., having been employed with the firm since 1997.
He had been working on the 99th floor of Two World Trade Center and was apparently helping a fellow employee with a broken leg to get out of the office at the time the building came under attack.
Mr. Foster attended St. Andrew's Catholic School in Flushing, N.Y. and then the New York Military Academy in Cornwall on Hudson, N.Y., from which he graduated in 1978.
A Reserve Officers Training Corps (ROTC) cadet, he was honorably discharged from the United States Army in 1980.
A 1982 graduate of Moravian College in Bethlehem, Pa., he was awarded two bachelor of arts degrees, one in journalism and the other in political science.
During college, he became a member of BETA Fraternity, published a student newspaper and took part in Pennsylvania political campaigns.
Before joining Aon, he had held positions with LDG Management Company of New York; George G. Zimmerman and Company of Mendham; Guy Carpenter and Company of New York; the New England Agency and the Kronish Agency in New York.
He was a member of the American Special Risk Association.
Surviving are his wife of 10 years, Nancy Rabbitt Foster; two daughters, Megan C. Foster and Nicole C. Foster, and his parents, John and Marion Foster of Colts Neck.
A memorial service was held on Sunday, September 30, at the Shrine of St. Joseph in Stirling.

Benjamin "Lenny" Armando, Jr.

Benjamin "Lenny" Armando, Jr., 54, of Fanwood died on Friday, September 28, at his residence.
Born in Kearny, he had lived in Nutley before relocating to Fanwood 28 years ago.
Mr. Armando was the owner and operator of Domlen Graphics Machinery Inc. in Garwood for the past 24 years.
He attended Fairleigh Dickinson University in Rutherford and served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War era.
Surviving are his wife, Janice E. Armando, and two daughters, Elizabeth C. Armando and Catherine M. Armando, both of Fanwood.
Funeral services were held yesterday, Wednesday, October 3, at the Memorial Funeral Home, 155 South Avenue in Fanwood.
Interment followed at Fairview Cemetery
in Westfield.
