Services for Mrs. Virginia MacDonald of Rutherford will be at 10 a.m. today in Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 153 Glenwood Ave., East Orange. Arrangements are by the Bragg Funeral Home, Paterson.
Mrs. MacDonald, who died Dec. 16 in Hackensack Medical Center, was a licensed practical nurse at Hackensack Medical Center before retiring six years ago.
She earned a degree from Bergen County Community College.
Born in Greensboro, N.C., Mrs. MacDonald moved to Rutherford many years ago.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Ruth Aultman, and two grandchildren.
Ethel Lott

Mrs. Ethel Lott, 79, of Andover Township died yesterday in Newton Memorial Hospital.
Services will be held at 8:30 o’clock tomorrow evening in the Morgan Funeral Home, 31-33 Main St., Netcong.
Born in Richmond, Va., Mrs. Lott lived in Norfolk, Va., New York City and Livingston before moving to Andover Township seven months ago.
Surviving are two sons, Albert Jr. and Paul; a brother, Leslie Avant, and five grandchildren.
Nicholas Mortarulo

A Mass for Nicholas A. Mortarulo, 74, of Scotch Plains will be offered at 9 a.m. tomorrow in St. Bartholomew the Apostle Church, Scotch Plains, following the funeral from the Rossi Funeral Home, 1937 Westfield Ave., Scotch Plains.
Mr. Mortarulo, who died Tuesday at home, was a supervisor with the American Water Co. in Short Hills for more than 40 years before retiring in 1991.
He served in the Army during World War II, and was a member of the Military Order of the Purple Heart in Cranford and the National 4th Infantry Division Association of New York-New Jersey.
Born in Summit, he lived in Scotch Plains since 1950.
Surviving are four sons, Anthony, Nicholas W., James and Robert; four daughters, Mrs. Jean Foley, Mrs. Mary Beth Becker, Anne Marie and Mrs. Patricia Diskin; two brothers, Michael and Mario; two sisters, Antoinette and Mrs. Mary Zeiss, and nine grandchildren.
Eda Mundy

Mrs. Eda Mundy, 93, of Cranford died yesterday in the Rahway Geriatric Center, Rahway.
Services will be held at 9:30 a.m. tomorrow in the Gray Memorial Funeral Home, 12 Springfield Ave., Cranford.
Mrs. Mundy was a registered nurse with the Brook Lodge Nursing Home and the Cranford Hall Nursing Home, both in Cranford, for 30 years before retiring in 1971.
She graduated from the Christ Hospital School of Nursing in Jersey City.
Born in Jamaica, West Indies, Mrs. Mundy came to the U.S. in 1923 and lived in Jersey City before moving to Cranford in 1945.
Surviving are two sons, Paul and David; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
R. O’Dell

Private services will be held for Richard S. O’Dell, 66, of New Milford, who died Wednesday in Chilton Memorial Hospital, Pequannock.
Arrangements are by Richards Funeral Home, Inc., West Milford.
Mr. O’Dell was a warehouse manager with the Corporate Communications Group, where he was employed for 13 years. Earlier, he had worked for Western Publishing in Poughkeepsie for 29 years.
He was a member of the Crum Elbow Rod and Gun Club in Poughkeepsie.
Mr. O’Dell served in the Army during the Korean War.
Born in Poughkeepsie, he moved to West Milford 14 years ago.
Surviving are his wife, Irene; a son, Richard; a daughter, Mrs. Lisa Wiltse; a sister, Mrs. Jean Forrest, and four grandchildren.
Ernest C. Rosebrock

Ernest C. Rosebrock, 48, lieutenant with sheriff’s department? Lt. Ernest C. Rosebrock, 48, of Branchburg died yesterday at home.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in the McCracken Funeral Home, 1500 Morris Ave., Union.
Lt. Rosebrock was employed with the Somerset County Sheriff’s Department for the last 26 years, most recently as a lieutenant.
He served as an elder with the Neshanic Reformed Church, Hillsboro, and on the board of the American Correctional Food Service.
Lt. Rosebrock also was a member of the Blue Knights Motorcycle Club and coached girls soccer for many years.
Born in Rahway, he lived in Franklin Park before moving to Branchburg more than two years ago.
Surviving are his wife, Gina M.; daughters, Jenna, Carly and Bethann; a brother, Charlie, and sisters, Mrs. Margaret Cook and Mrs. Marilyn Kopervas.
Ralph Porpora Sr.

A Mass for Ralph J. Porpora Sr., 63, of Toms River will be offered at 9:15 a.m. tomorrow in St. Luke’s Church, Toms River, after the funeral from the Silverton Memorial Funeral Home, 2482 Church Rd., Toms River.
Mr. Porpora, who died Wednesday in Community Medical Center, Toms River, owned and operated the Shoe Place in Linden for eight years before retiring in 1994.
He served in the Marine Corps during the Korean War.
Born in Newark, Mr. Porpora lived in Colonia and Edison before moving to Toms River six years ago.
Surviving are his wife, Elizabeth; three sons, Ralph Jr., Christopher and Mark; a daughter, Mrs. Donna Montecalvo; a sister, Mrs. Frances Zelenak, and seven grandchildren.
