A memorial service for Emanuel Sandreuter, 89, of Woodbridge will be held at 11 a.m. April 29 in the Central Presbyterian Church, Maple Street, Summit.
Arrangements are by the William R. Dangler Funeral Home, Summit.
Mr. Sandreuter, who died Sunday in the Raritan Bay Medical Center, Perth Amboy, was employed for 40 years with Ciba-Geigy in Summit before retiring as a vice president of importing and exporting in 1976.
He was a volunteer with SAGE in Summit for 15 years.
Born in Basel, Switzerland, he lived in Summit before moving to Woodbridge four years ago.
Surviving are a daughter, Monique; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Pasquale DiMatteo

A Mass for Pasquale “Patsy” Di Matteo, 89, of Middlesex will be offered at 9 a.m. tomorrow in Our Lady of Mount Virgin Church, Middlesex. The funeral will be from the Middlesex Funeral Home, 528 Bound Brook Rd., Middlesex. Interment
will take place in Somerset Hills Memorial Park, Basking Ridge.
Mr. Di Matteo, who died Wednesday in the Somerset Medical Center, Somerville, was a baker for 35 years with Mrs. Wagner’s Pies in Brooklyn, retiring in 1969. He also worked for the Middlesex Borough Board of Education for 10 years.
Born in Italy, he lived in Brooklyn before moving to Middlesex in 1969.
Surviving are a son, John; a daughter, Mrs. Ann Ciaccio; 11 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Cookie Stafford

Services for Miss Cookie Stafford, 48, a lifelong resident of Montville, will be held at 10 a.m. Monday in Mount Zion Baptist Church, Rock Lane and Church Road, Boonton. Arrangements are by the Rowe-Lanterman Home for Funerals, Morristown.
Miss Stafford died Wednesday at home.
Surviving are a son, James D.; her mother, Mrs. Johnie May Stafford, and a brother, Robert O. Jr.
William J. Tamarato

A Mass for William J. Tamarato Sr., 84, of West Orange will be offered at 10 a.m. Monday in Our Lady of Lourdes Church, West Orange, following the funeral from The Dangler Funeral Home of West Orange, 340 Main St., West Orange.
Mr. Tamarato died Wednesday in the Kessler Nursing Home, West Orange.
He was a waterproofer in the mason business for United Construction Co. in New York for 10 years before retiring in 1981. Previously, he worked for the Rockwell Newman Co., Orange, for 35 years.
An Army veteran of World War II, Mr. Tamarato served as a squad leader in the 102nd Ozark infantry division. He was a recipient of the Purple Heart, the European Theater Medal, the Bronze Star, the Meritorious Unit Award, the American Theater Ribbon, the European-African-Middle Eastern Ribbon, the Victory Medal and the Good Conduct Medal.
He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 326, West Orange, and Local 66 Pointers, Cleaners, Caulkers Union of New York.
Born in Cambridge Springs, Pa., Mr. Tamarato lived in Orange before moving to West Orange 53 years ago.
Surviving are his wife, May; three daughters, Mrs. Marsha Malone, Mrs. Barbara Larson and Mrs. Nancy Mason; a son, William J. Jr.; three sisters, Mrs. Agnes Horvath, Mrs. Irene Kaufhold and Mrs. Margaret Longo, and 10 grandchildren.
Julia D’Agosta

A Mass for Mrs. Julia D’Agosta, 86, of Kearny will be at 9 a.m. tomorrow in Our Lady Queen of Peace Church, North Arlington, after the funeral from the Parow Funeral Home, 185 Ridge Rd., North Arlington.
Mrs. D’Agosta, who died Wednesday in West Hudson Hospital, Kearny, was a packer with Colgate-Palmolive in Jersey City for 27 years before retiring in 1975.
Born in Jersey City, she lived in North Arlington for 35 years before moving to Kearny five years ago.
Surviving are a son, Dominick R.; a daughter, Mrs. Judith J. Vanancio; sisters, Mrs. Rose Hammer and Mrs. Mary Condern, and two grandchildren.
Madeline Traub

Mrs. Madeline E. Traub, 81, of Wayne died yesterday at home.
Services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday in Christ Church, 400 Ramapo Ave., Pompton Lakes. Arrangements are by the Moore’s Home for Funerals, Wayne.
Born in Media, Pa., Mrs. Traub moved to Wayne in 1954.
Surviving are her husband, Egon F.; two sons, Robert W. Lewis and Keith F. Traub; a sister, Mrs. Henrietta Edwards; 10 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
George Whittle

Services for George Wentford Whittle, 79, of West Orange, the first African-American automobile salesman in the area and the recipient of awards of excellence, will be held at 10 a.m. tomorrow in Bethany Baptist Church, 275 West Market St., Newark. Arrangements are by Martin’s Home for Service, Inc., Montclair.
Mr. Whittle, who died Tuesday in St. Barnabas Medical Center, Livingston, was an automobile salesman with Mallon Pontiac in East Orange for 25 years and Compass Lincoln in Orange for five years before retiring.
He was the first African-American auto salesman in the area. His sales expertise consistently earned him awards of excellence.
Mr. Whittle served in the Army during World War II.
He graduated with a degree in biology from Howard University in 1947 and was a member of the Omega Psi fraternity.
A member of the Sundowners Social Club, he also was a Connecting Link of the Essex County Chapter of The Links, Inc.
Born in Mecklenburg County, Va., Mr. Whittle lived in Orange before moving to West Orange.
Surviving are his wife, Trudi, and a sister, Mrs. Ruby A. Smith.
