Services for Mrs. Yetta Kozodoy of West Orange will be held at 11:30 a.m. tomorrow in Menorah Chapels at Millburn, 2950 Vaux Hall Rd., Union.
Mrs. Kozodoy died Friday in the Daughters of Israel in West Orange.
She was a member of the Howell Township chapter of Hadassah.
Born in Newark, Mrs. Kozodoy lived in Hillside, Howell Township and Elizabeth before moving to West Orange two years ago.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Anne Beattie; a son, Felix; two brothers, Frank and Benjamin Perlmutter; five grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
Dr. Robert Kornblum

Services for Dr. Robert Kornblum, 63, of Mendham, an attending physician, assistant pediatrics professor, school physician and medical consultant, will be held at noon tomorrow in the Bailey Funeral Home, 8 Hilltop Rd., Mendham.
Dr. Kornblum, who died Thursday in the Ann Arbor, Mich., home of his brother, Dr. Sylvan Kornblum, served as acting chairman and attending physician in the Department of Pediatrics at Morristown Memorial Hospital. He was instrumental in starting its pediatric residency program.
He also was a clinical assistant professor of pediatrics at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons.
Dr. Kornblum served as a school physician in the Chester and Mendham areas and was a medical consultant to several Morris County schools.
He initiated the well-baby care and guidance programs at Morristown’s Neighborhood House as well as the school health program for the Morris School District.
He was a member of the Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and a diplomate of the American Board of Pediatrics. Dr. Kornblum belonged to the Morris County Medical Society, the Medical Society of New Jersey and the Northwest New Jersey Pediatric Society.
He was honored by the Department of Pediatrics of Morristown Memorial Hospital with the Pediatric Lifetime Achievement Award in October 1999. Dr. and Mrs. David Knoop of Mendham endowed the naming of the lobby of the new Children’s Medical Center in his honor.
Dr. Kornblum graduated from Columbia University and earned a medical degree from Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn. He was chief pediatric resident at both Jacobi Hospital-Albert Einstein College of Medicine and the Children’s Hospital in Philadelphia.
He served in the Army during peacetime as a pediatrician at the Seoul Military Hospital in Korea and was involved in the establishment of an orphanage through the Pearl Buck Foundation.
Dr. Kornblum was recognized by the Eighth U.S. Army in 1967 and the Watson Army Hospital in Fort Dix for outstanding service.
Born in Antwerp, Belgium, he lived in Manhattan before moving to Mendham 30 years ago.
Also surviving are his wife, Dr. Hana Brin Kornblum, and three daughters, Rebecca, Jennifer and Tamara.
A.C. Koczela

Alexander C. Koczela, 90, a lifelong resident of Elizabeth, died yesterday in Trinitas Hospital, Elizabeth.
A Mass will be offered at 10 a.m. Tuesday in St. Adalbert’s Church, Elizabeth, following the funeral from the Kowalski Funeral Home, 515 Roselle St., Linden.
Mr. Koczela was a general laborer with the Apex Chemical Co. in Elizabeth for 10 years before retiring in 1979. Prior to that, he worked in the same capacity with Barrett’s of Elizabeth for 40 years.
He was a member of the Holy Name Society of St. Adalbert’s Church.
Mr. Koczela also was a member of the Polish Falcons Nest 126 in Elizabeth, where he was active with its bowling team for 30 years.
Arthur Jenkin

A funeral service for Arthur S. Jenkin, 71, of Millsboro, Del. will be held at 1 p.m. tomorrow in the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Millsboro. Arrangements are by the Melson Funeral Services, Frankford, Del.
Mr. Jenkin, who died Tuesday, was the department head of a sewage treatment plant.
He served in the Army during the Korean War.
Surviving are his wife, Philomena; a son, Arthur; a daughter, Kathleen; two brothers, John and Kenneth, and two sisters, Mrs. Katherine Gangi and Mrs. Gladys Saitta.
Raymond Jecmen

Services for Raymond E. Jecmen, 52, of West Orange will be held at 10 a.m. tomorrow in the Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, Main Road, Landing.
Mr. Jecmen, who died Thursday in St. Barnabas Medical Center, Livingston, was a master plumber and owner of Contemporary Plumbing Inc. in West Orange for many years.
He was a member of the Essex County Plumbing, Heating and Cooling Contractors Association and the New Jersey Rifle and Pistol Clubs, Inc. Mr. Jecmen was an archery enthusiast and a skeet and trap shooter and target pistol shooter.
He served as a sergeant in the Air Force during the Vietnam War.
Born in St. Louis, he lived in Newark before moving to West Orange 24 years ago.
Surviving are his wife, Denise; a son, Richard, and a sister, Mrs. Barbara Maslowski.
John J. Jachera

A Mass for John J. Jachera of Wayne will be offered at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday in Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, Wayne. The funeral will be from the Vander May Wayne Colonial Funeral Home, 567 Ratzer Rd., Wayne.
Mr. Jachera, who died Friday in Chilton Memorial Hospital, Pompton Plains, was a partner in The Wayne Manor, a banquet facility in Wayne, for 25 years before retiring four years ago.
He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 10206 in Wayne.
Mr. Jachera earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Rutgers University in New Brunswick in 1961.
Born in Bayonne, he lived in Bloomfield and Perth Amboy before moving to Wayne 30 years ago.
Surviving are his wife, Win; two daughters, Mrs. Patricia Galloway and Mrs. Linda Feldman; two sons, Michael and Steven; a brother, Ted; a sister, Mrs. Helen Zuba, and three grandchildren.
Harry G. Hyra

A memorial Mass for Harry George Hyra, 79, of Pine Beach, a retired attorney, will be offered at 11 a.m. Wednesday in St. Barnabas Church, Bayville. Arrangements are by the Mastapeter Funeral Home, Bayville.
Mr. Hyra, who died Friday at home, practiced law with his own firm in Toms River for 20 years, and, before that, in Hillside for 35 years, before retiring in 1990. He was also a partner in the College Inn Restaurant, Hillside.
Mr. Hyra graduated with a pre-law degree from Rutgers University, Newark, and earned a law degree from John Marshall Law School/Seton Hall University in Jersey City.
He was a second lieutenant in the Army during World War II.
Mr. Hyra was a member of of the Disabled American Veterans and the Veterans of Foreign Wars posts in Hillside and an avid antiques collector.
Born in Newark, he lived in Hillside for many years before moving to Pine Beach 25 years ago. He maintained a summer home in Pine Beach for 45 years.
Surviving are Helen, his wife of 54 years; four daughters, Mrs. Karen H. Shearer, Mrs. Laura Perlberg, Mrs. Cindy H. Tross and Mrs. Marcy VanZile, and 12 grandchildren.
