Services for Frederick Johnathan Hughes, 45, of Jersey City will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the Calvary Church, C.M.E. Jersey City. Arrangements are by the Watson Mortuary Service, Jersey City.
Mr. Hughes, who died Wednesday at home, was a minister of music at the Calvary C.M.E. Church.
Born in Plainfield, he lived in Roselle before moving to Jersey City.
Surviving are four sons, Majadi, Johnathan, Joel and Christopher; a daughter, Mrs. Lisa Ann Russell; two brothers, Howard and Mark; two sisters, Tammie and Tonda, and two grandchildren.
Ernest Horn

Services were private for Ernest Horn, 79, of Lincoln Park, who died yesterday in the Chilton Memorial Hospital, Pompton Plains.
Arrangements were by the Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home, Clifton.
Born in Glendale, N.Y., he lived in Clifton and Paterson before moving to Lincoln Park 10 years ago.
Elizabeth M. Holdsworth

A Mass for Mrs. Elizabeth Mary Holdsworth, 72, of St. James Plantation, N.C., formerly of New Jersey, will be offered at 10 a.m. tomorrow in Blessed Kateri Church, Sparta. Arrangements are by the Paul Ippolito Memorial, Orange.
Mrs. Holdsworth died Tuesday at home.
She was a supervisor of the fire division at State Farm Insurance, Wayne, for many years before retiring.
Born in Newark, she lived in Cocoa Beach, Fla. for several years before moving to North Carolina four years ago.
Surviving are Robert J., her husband of 53 years; a daughter, Mrs. Suzanne Byrd; four sons, Robert J. Jr., William J., James E. and Thomas J.; three brothers, Robert, Leonard and Thomas Burrell; a sister, Mrs. Ann Hogan, and 15 grandchildren.
Mabel I. Hess

Services will be private for Mrs. Mabel I. Hess, 80, of the Leisure Village West section of Manchester Township, who died Friday in Community Medical Center, Toms River. Arrangements are by the Anderson and Campbell Funeral Home, Lakehurst.
Mrs. Hess was born in Kenilworth and lived in Westfield before moving to Manchester Township in 1985.
Surviving are William George, her husband of 53 years; two sons, George Hess and Robert Page; two sisters, Mrs. Laura Parkinson and Mrs. Margaret Wesighan, and five grandchildren.
Anna Harrison

A Mass for Mrs. Anna Harrison, 86, of North Bergen will be offered at 10 a.m. Wednesday in St. Francis Church, Ridgefield Park, following the funeral from the Volk-Leber Funeral Home, 789 Teaneck Rd., Teaneck.
Mrs. Harrison, who died Thursday in Holy Name Hospital in Teaneck, was born in Hoboken and lived in Union City before moving to North Bergen.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Marge Henderson; three sons, George J. Jr., Arthur, and Michael; 14 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild.
Helen Hanlon

A Mass for Miss Helen Hanlon, 84, a lifelong resident of Summit, will be offered at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday in St. Teresa’s Church, Summit, following the funeral from the Brough Funeral Home, 535 Springfield Ave., Summit.
Miss Hanlon, who died Friday in Overlook Hospital, Summit, retired 21 years ago as publications supervisor for Ciba-Geigy in Summit after 42 years of service.
She was a member the 60-Plus Club and Rosary Society, both of St. Theresa’s Church, and the Golden Age Club in Summit.
Miss Hanlon was a volunteer driver at the Rosary Shrine in Summit.
Janet Halbert

Mrs. Janet Halbert, 83, of Sayreville died yesterday in Summerhill Nursing Home, Old Bridge.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Nativity of Our Lord Byzantine Church, East Brunswick, following the funeral from the Brunswick Memorial Home, 454 Cranbury Rd., East Brunswick. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, East Brunswick.
Mrs. Halbert was a cashier at Shop Rite in Spotswood for 23 years before retiring in 1993.
Active with the Nativity of Our Lord Byzantine Church, she ran the kitchen during the parish bingo games for many years and participated in many parish bus trips to Atlantic City.
Born in Perth Amboy, Mrs. Halbert lived in Sayreville for many years.
Surviving are a son, George; two daughters, Mrs. Janice Grande and Mrs. June Wingerter; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
