Services for Charles Meyer, 79, of Dover will be held at 2 p.m. today in the Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home, 26 Mule Rd., Toms River.
Mr. Meyer, who died Friday in the Community Medical Center, Toms River, worked for Red Devil Tools for 33 years before retiring in 1983.
He served in the Army during World War II.
Born in Newark, he lived in Irvington and Springfield before moving to Dover in 1987.
Surviving are his wife, Catherine; a daughter, Mrs. Nancy Treiber; two sons, Charles and Gene, and two grandchildren.
Elizabeth Steinbach

Private funeral services will be held for Mrs. Elizabeth Steinbach, 82, of Whiting, who died Saturday in the Community Medical Center, Toms River. Arrangements are by the Costello-Koyen Funeral Home, Avenel.
Mrs. Steinbach worked at Revlon in Edison for 10 years before retiring in 1979.
She served as president of the Ladies Auxiliary of Avenel Fire Co. 1 and the Woodbridge Township Girl Scout Council.
Born in Perth Amboy, she lived in Avenel for 68 years before moving to Whiting 14 years ago.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Ruth Tufaro and Mrs. Jean S. Beirle; a son, John; 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Albert Siegel

Services for Albert Siegel, 79, of Lakewood will be held at 10:30 a.m. tomorrow in Temple Beth Am, 400 Carey St., Lakewood. Arrangements are by the Belkoff Goldstein Funeral Chapel, Lakewood.
Mr. Siegel, who died Saturday at home, was a purchasing manager for CBS, Newark, for 10 years before retiring in 1988.
He served in the Army during World War II and was a member of the Jewish War Veterans and its Club Shalom.
Mr. Siegel was a member of the Showtimers of Lions Head Woods and the Juvenile Conference Committee, Lakewood.
He was a tutor and mentor at the Oak Street School in Lakewood and for Pupils of Assisted Learning at Lakewood High School.
Born in the Bronx, he lived in Westfield before moving to Lakewood seven years ago.
Surviving are his wife, Selma Z.; two sons, Fred F. and Michael P.; a brother, Irving; six grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
Kenneth E. Rox

A Mass for Kenneth E. Rox, 50, of Berkeley Heights, a 29-year member of the Newark Police Department, will be offered at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Little Flower Church, Berkeley Heights. Arrangements are by the Valley Memorial Home, Gillette.
Capt. Rox, who died Friday in the Palisades General Hospital, North Bergen, served in the Office of the Chief of Police, Criminal Investigation Liaison, at the time of his death.
After graduating in 1971 from the Newark Police Academy, he started his career in the West District under his father, the late Capt. Joseph Rox.
In 1997, Capt. Rox retired as a chief petty officer from the Navy Reserves after 30 years. He had joined the Navy in 1967 and also served in the Marine Corps. Capt. Rox was honored as Sailor of the Year in 1988.
He was a member of the Police Benevolent Association 3, Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 12, and served as president of the Superior Officers Association.
As a youth, Capt. Rox received an Eagle Scout Award from the Boy Scouts of America, Robert Treat Council, Troop 27, Newark.
Born in Newark, he lived in Garwood for 27 years before moving to Berkeley Heights seven years ago.
Surviving are his wife, Gloria; a son, Michael; two daughters, Kimberly and Kelly, and his mother, Mrs. Eleanor Rox.
Elizabeth Potts

Services for Mrs. Elizabeth Potts, 90, of Crestview, Fla., a former New Jersey resident, will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Schmidt Memorial Funeral Home, 139 Westfield Ave., Elizabeth.
Mrs. Potts, who died Thursday at home, was a processor employed by the Simmons Mattress Co., Elizabeth, for 15 years before retiring more than 20 years ago.
She was a member of the Parish Organization of the First Presbyterian Church, Roselle.
Born in Hungary, she lived in Elizabeth and Roselle before moving to Florida several years ago.
Surviving are her husband, Frank D.; a son, Frank E.; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Anthony Ponturiero

Anthony J. “Kelly” Ponturiero, 67, of Middletown died yesterday in the Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank.
A Mass will be offered at 9 a.m. Wednesday in St. James Church, Red Bank. Arrangements are by the John E. Day Funeral Home, Red Bank.
Mr. Ponturiero was a deputy regional administrator in the wage and hour division of the U.S. Department of Labor, New York City, where he worked for 30 years before retiring.
He was a 1954 graduate of Syracuse University in New York and a member of Phi Gamma Delta.
He served in the Army during World War II.
A member of the Red Bank Fire Department, he also served with the Liberty Hose Fire Co., Red Bank.
Born in Millburn, Mr. Ponturiero lived in Red Bank before moving to Middletown four years ago.
Surviving are his wife, Marion; a son, Augustine J.; a daughter, Mrs. Mary Wyman; his mother, Mrs. Margaret Ponturiero, and two grandchildren.
Sol Grossman

Sol Grossman, 78, of Monroe Township died yesterday at home.
Services will be held at 10:15 a.m. tomorrow in Mount Sinai Memorial Chapels, Cranbury Road and Evergreen Boulevard, East Brunswick. Burial will follow at Beth Israel Cemetery, Woodbridge.
Mr. Grossman was the owner of Grossman Brothers Beverages, a distribution company in Brooklyn, for many years before retiring several years ago.
He was an Army veteran of World War II, and a member of the Jewish War Veterans Post 395 in Monroe Township.
Mr. Grossman was a member of the Workmans Circle in Elizabeth and a volunteer at the Summerhill Nursing Home in Old Bridge and Meals on Wheels.
Born in New York City, he lived in Brooklyn before moving to Monroe Township in 1986.
Surviving are two sons, Lloyd and Barry; a daughter, Mrs. Bonnie Klein; two brothers, Louis and Larry; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
