Joseph W. Novia

LAWRENCE - Joseph W. Novia, 38, died Sunday as a result of an automobile accident in Lower Makefield Township, Pa.
Born in Philadelphia, he was a Lawrence resident for 11 years. Mr. Novia was a graduate of Cardinal Dougherty High School, attended Philadelphia College of Performing Arts and graduated from Trenton State College.
He was the membership and traffic manager of WWFM, the classical network of Mercer County Community College. He was a professional musician and played trumpet with the Cardinal Dougherty Marching Band, Vincent Lopez Orchestra, Jacob Tietz German Band, Second Vision and Mr. Pink. He was an area actor, most recently seen at the Off-Broadstreet Theater in Hopewell and West Wind Repertory Theater in Princeton.
He is survived by his wife, Laura Jackson Novia; his parents, Galileo and Louise D'Amore Novia of Bensalem, Pa.; two sisters, Linda N. Manini of Bensalem and Julie N. Donahue of Philadelphia; and four nephews and two nieces.
Burial Office and Requiem Eucharist will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Trinity Cathedral, 801 W. State St., Trenton. The Very Rev. Thomas C. Wand, Dean (Interim) of the cathedral, will officiate. Burial will be at the convenience of the family at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Philadelphia.

Bruce J. Phillips Sr.

PEMBERTON TOWNSHIP - Bruce James Phillips Sr., 48, died Saturday at West Jersey Hospital in Marlton.
Born in Abington, Pa., he was a former resident of Ewing and Trenton before moving to the Presidential Lakes section of Pemberton Township in 1979. Mr. Phillips was supervisor of circulation at the Trentonian newspaper and worked there since 1971.
He was a member of St. Ann's Church in Browns Mills, VFW Post 7298 in Ewing, Eden-Stanley American Legion Post 294 in Pemberton, Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge 1135 in Pemberton, Teamsters Union Local 134 in Trenton, and Civic Association for Presidential Lakes.
He is survived by his wife, America D. Murcia Phillips; three sons, Timothy M. of Presidential Lakes, Bruce J. Jr. of Mount Laurel and Carmen D. of Presidential Lakes; three brothers, Joseph of Chambersburg, John "Jack" and Cornelius "Neil," both of Ewing; three sisters, Cecilia Mazzella of Newtown, Pa., Veronica Mulrine of Yardville and Ellen Cline of Mercerville; and many nieces and nephews.
Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated 1 p.m. Thursday at St. Ann's Church, 22 Trenton Road, Browns Mills. Interment
will be in Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown. Calling hours will be 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Lankenau Funeral Home, 31 Elizabeth St., Pemberton.

Eric H. Riedesel

HAMILTON - Eric H. Riedesel, 23, died Friday at Kimball Medical Center in Lakewood from injuries resulting from a car accident.
Born in Neptune, he lived in Millstone Township before moving to Hamilton six years ago.
Mr. Riedesel was a self-employed mechanic in the Bayville area for five years. He was a 1992 graduate of Allentown High School.
He is survived by a son, Erik John Wagner of New Egypt; his father, Henry G. Riedesel of Muncy, Pa.; his mother, Jean Riedesel of Hamilton; a brother, Brian Riedesel of Hamilton; a sister, Rebecca Riedesel of Burlington Township; his maternal grandmother, Leone L. Wilson of Howell; and his paternal grandfather, Henry J. Riedesel of Patton, Pa.
Funeral services were Monday at C.H.T. Clayton & Son Funeral Home, Adelphia. The Rev. Harvey Kelley officiated. Interment
was at Adelphia Cemetery.
Mary A. Scymanski

HAMILTON - Mary A. Scymanski, 82, died Sunday at home.
Born in Trenton, she was a lifelong area resident. Mrs. Scymanski was a former member of the Altar Rosary Society of St. Stanislaus Church.
Daughter of the late Michael and Theresa Suta, wife of the late Leo S. Scymanski and mother of the late Linda Scymanski, she is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Kathleen and Robert E. Watson of Hamilton Square; a son, Jerry L. Scymanski, with whom she lived; two sisters, Florence Spodaryk of Bordentown and Theresa Wargo of Hamilton; and two grandchildren, Amy and Mark Watson, both of Hamilton.
Funeral services will be 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at Saul Memorial Home, 1740 Greenwood Ave., Trenton. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Sorrows Roman Catholic Church, 3816 E. State St. Extension, Mercerville. Interment
will be at St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Hamilton. Calling hours will be 8:30 a.m. until time of services Wednesday at the funeral home.

HAMILTON - Fredda Church Phillips Spaeth, 91, died Monday at King James Care Center in Hamilton Square.
Born in Taylorsville, Pa., she lived in the Hamilton area most of her life.
Mrs. Spaeth had been a waitress at Loft's Candy of Trenton for nine years and at Lockwood's Restaurant in Hamilton Square.
Daughter of the late Harry and Hannah Church Phillips, she is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Irene A. and Kenneth Ireland of Venice, Fla., and Madeline and Bill Schumann of Hamilton Square; a granddaughter, Donna Lee King of Hamilton Square; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Saul Colonial Home, 3795 Nottingham Way, Hamilton Square. Calling hours will be 1 p.m. until time of services Wednesday at the funeral home.

MANSFIELD TOWNSHIP - Anna Rose Weigle, 83, died Sunday at Memorial Hospital of Burlington County in Mount Holly.
Born in Philadelphia, she lived in the Columbus area for 11 years.
Daughter of the late David and Ida Ostroff Levy, she is survived by her husband, Thompson Weigle; a son and daughter-in-law, Louis and Gail Weigle of Bridgewater; a daughter and son-in-law, Roberta Elizabeth and James Love of Baton Rouge, La.; a brother, Joseph Levy of Egg Harbor; a sister, Ethel Prenit of Philadelphia; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family.

Teresa R. Whitmore

EAST WINDSOR - Teresa R. Whitmore, 39, died Wednesday at Centra-State Medical Center in Freehold.
Born in Long Branch, she lived in East Windsor for the past four years. Ms. Whitmore attended Old Bridge School and Matawan schools.
She was a member of Freehold Church of Our Lord Jesus Christ and served on the Henson Knights Choir and the Junior Missionary Board. She also belonged to the Big and Little Sisters Auxiliary.
She is survived by her husband, Andrew J. Whitmore Jr.; three children, Andrew J. III, Durell J. and Dondre J. Whitmore, all of East Windsor; her parents, Francis L. and Wilhelmina Hunley of Howell Township; a brother, Leonard Hunley of Lakewood; two sisters, Francine Davis of Lakewood and Jacqueline Motley of Howell Township; a grandfather, Thomas Hunley Sr. of Morganville; two god-daughters, Jaelessa Price of Suitland, Md., and Ashlee Davis of Lakewood; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Bethel AME Church, 3 Waterworks Road, Freehold. Bishop Wayman Wright Sr. will officiate.
Interment will be at Maplewood Cemetery, Freehold. Calling hours will be 7 to 9 tonight at the church.
