HOPEWELL TOWNSHIP -- Marjorie Elizabeth Fine, 89, died Friday at home.
Born in Trenton, she was a resident of Hopewell Township.
She worked for Mercer Hospital until 1930, volunteered at Trenton Psychiatric Hospital, was a Red Cross instructor, president of Mercer County Medical Society Woman's Auxiliary, and participated in programs for Trenton children.
She was a member of Titusville Methodist Church since 1957 and graduated from Mercer Hospital School of Nursing as a registered nurse.
Daughter of the late David E. and Florence Potts Lees, she is survived by two daughters, Beatrice Smith of Bordentown and Marjorie Kleiner of Denville; six grandchildren, Christine Smith Anderson of Aspen, Colo., Roger Smith of Midland, Ore., Kathleen Kleiner Gathercoal of Newburg, Ore., William Kleiner Jr. of Sussexand David and Elizabeth Kleiner of Seattle, Wash.; and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Titusville Methodist Church, Church Road and Route 29, Titusville, with Rev. William H. Jacobsen, pastor, officiating.
Interment will be in Titusville Methodist Cemetery.
Calling hours will be 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at Wilson-Apple Funeral Home, Pennington Circle, Pennington.

JAMESBURG -- Philomena Puopolo Gallo, 84, died Saturday at Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge Division.
Born in Newark, she lived in Florida for 20 years and was a former Carteret resident.
She is survived by her husband, Frank Gallo; two sons, Richard Gallo of Jamesburg and Frank Gallo of West Windsor; a brother, Louis Puopolo of Kearny; a sister, Theresa Panepinto of Carteret; and three grandchildren.
Funeral service will be 8:30 a.m. Wednesday at Rezem Funeral Home, 457 Cranbury Road, East Brunswick.
Funeral Mass will be 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. James Church, Jamesburg.
Cremation will be at the family's convenience.
Calling hours will be 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

TRENTON -- Mary J. Gola, 84, died Friday at home.
Born in Trenton, she was a lifelong area resident.
She was retired from Sterling Drug Co., Trenton and was a member of St. Hedwig's Church Rosary Society.
Daughter of the late Thomas and Helen Molnaur Obremski and wife of the late Frank Gola, she is survived by a son, Richard Gola of Trenton; a sister, Laura P. Iorio of Union; and many other relatives and friends.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Hedwig's Church.
Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Bordentown.
Calling hours will be after 8:30 a.m. Tuesday at Kowalski Funeral Home, 868 Brunswick Ave., Trenton.
Kirk Harger Jr.

HAMILTON -- Kirk Porter "The Colonel" Harger Jr., 76, died Thursday at Hamilton House, Hamilton.
Born in Pittsburgh, he lived in Hamilton.
He was an industrial sales engineer, serving New Jersey refineries and the Caribbean, was the president's assistant at Gordon Conwell Seminary, was fund-raiser and public relations officer for the Storm King School in Cornwall, N.Y., and was president of Neville Porter Co., Princeton.
He volunteered for Camp Holiday Trails of Charlottesville, organizing the annual American Fantasy Action, securing grants as vice president of the board of directors, and published a book of verse, "Harger Thoughts" to assist homeless veterans.
He was an officer in the Army Corps of Engineers in the Pacific during World War II and the Korean War and was awarded the Purple Heart and Bronze Star.
He attended United States Military Academy at West Point, N.Y., before World War II and received a bachelor's degree in petroleum engineering at the University of Pittsburgh.
He is survived by his wife, Victoria Boyle of Charlottesville, Va.; two daughters and sons-in-law, Joan and William Roberts of Hamilton and Karin and Thomas Ross of Arizona; and three grandsons, Brandon, Ryan and Taylor Roberts, all of Hamilton.
Funeral service with full military honors will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the chapel at Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown. The Rev. Raymond Weigle will officiate.
Arrangements are by Knott's Colonial Funeral Home, Hamilton.

MORRISVILLE, Pa. -- Vera S. Mershon Hibbs, 86, died Saturday at Delaware Valley Medical Center, Falls.
Born in Penns Manor, she was a lifelong area resident.
She was secretary for the Morrisville school system more than seven years.
Wife of the late Joseph W. Mershon and Joseph F. Hibbs and daughter of the late Theodore and Ethel Leedom Sterling, she is survived by a son, Richard H. Mershon of Morrisville; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at J. Allen Hooper Funeral Chapel, 41 W. Trenton Ave., Morrisville, with Elder John Aiutoniewicz of Jehovah's Witnesses, Morrisville Congregation, officiating.
Interment will be in Morrisville Cemetery.
Calling hours will be 10 a.m. until service Wednesday at the chapel.

Domenico Leonardi

TRENTON -- Domenico Leonardi, 83, died Friday at home.
Born in Scheggino, Perugia, Italy, he lived in Trenton since 1949.
He was owner of Triangle Drive-In, Chambersburg, working 20 years before retirement.
He was a member of St. Joachim's Roman Catholic Church, Roman Society and Italian American Sportsman Club.
Son of the late Benedetto and Irene Rosati Leonardi and brother of the late Augusto Leonardi, he is survived by his wife, Clara Corradi Leonardi; a daughter, Evelyn Hawrylak of Hamilton; three grandchildren, Thomas and Michael Agabiti and Janine Hawrylak; a brother-in-law, Dino Corradi and wife Anna Maria; a sister-in-law, Anna Leonardi; and many other relatives and friends.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Joachim's Roman Catholic Church, 20 Butler St., Trenton.
Entombment will be in The Garden of Peace Mausoleum, Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery, Hamilton.
There will be no calling hours.

TRENTON -- George J. Nemeth, 83, died Friday at Lawrenceville Nursing Home.
Born in Trenton, he was a lifelong area resident.
He retired from General Motors Corp. in 1974 after working 31 years.
He was a lifelong member of SS. Peter and Paul Church and an usher and trustee 20 years; member of the Rosary and Holy Name Societies, vice president of Mercer County Holy Name Society and former man of the year; member of Jednota 102-JK; St. Vincent de Paul Society; Blue Army; Right to Life Organization; Mount Carmel Guild; Trenton Council 355, Knights of Columbus; and Fourth Degree Honor Guard.
He was active in CYO, Star Club and Slovak organizations, organizing Ephpheta Deaf Clubs as president; and was president seven years of the Young at Heart Slovak Club.
Husband of the late Irene Novak Nemeth, son of the late Michael and Elizabeth Bires Nemeth, brother of the late Andrew and John Nemeth and brother-in-law of the late Michael and Mary Benson and Jack and Anna Jorgenson, he is survived by a sister-in-law, Mary Bires; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be 8 a.m. Wednesday at Kutch Funeral Home, 215 Grand St., Trenton.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 9 a.m. Wednesday at SS. Peter and Paul Church.
Interment will be in the parish cemetery.
Calling hours will be 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, when the rosary will be recited.
