DOVER, England -- Ruby B. Owen, 88, died March 30 in Dover.
Born in Wolverhampton, England, she lived in Kingston, Hopewell and Pennington, N.J., before moving to Dover.
She was a member of the library staff at Princeton University, regent of Andrew Carnegie chapter of Daughters of the British Empire and member of Artist's Showcase and Pennington Players.
Wife of the late Leonard Owen, she is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Morwenna and James of Pennington; and two grandchildren, Robert and Carol.
Memorial services were held in England.
Arrangements were by Chittenden's Funeral Directors.
Robert Winfred Newell

SANTA ROSA BEACH, Fla. -- Robert Winfred Newell died March 30 at home.
Born in Pueblo, Colo., he lived in Yardley, Pa., Chicago and Fort Smith, Ark., before moving to Santa Rosa Beach.
He attended Boulder University and was a 1944 graduate of the United States Naval Academy.
He was a Navy veteran of World War II.
Son of the late Jenny and Robert Newell, he is survived by his wife, Berenice Foster Newell; a brother, Eugene Newell of Billings, Mont.; two sisters, Vivian Holst of Woodland, Calif., and Mildred Mickish of Edmond, Okla.; and a niece, Debbie Calle of Ewing, N.J.
Memorial service was at Santa Rosa Beach.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Community Church of Santa Rosa Beach; or St. Rita's Catholic Church, Santa Rosa Beach.
Arrangements were by Emerald Coast Funeral Home, Fort Walton Beach.

TRENTON -- Carter Ellis Hicks, 72, died Tuesday at Kimball Medical Center, Lakewood.
Born in Elams, S.C., he was a longtime Trenton area resident.
He retired from Volk Tire Corp., Trenton, after 30 years.
He was a member of St. John's Baptist Church, Ewing.
Son of the late Willie and Bettie Hicks, brother of the late Margaret Bradshaw and husband of the late Gloria E. White-Hicks, he is survived by three sons, Bruce and Barry Hicks of Trenton and Wayne Jeffrey of Burlington; two daughters, Denise Renee Hicks-Smith of Ewing and Kim Hicks of Trenton; a sister and brother-in-law, Florence and Joseph McRae of Hamilton; two brothers, Haskin Hicks of Browns Mills and William "Sonny" Hicks of Trenton; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Campbell Funeral Chapel, 1225 Calhoun St., with the Rev. Leon Alexander officiating.
Burial will be in Ewing Cemetery.
Calling hours will be 9 to 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

TRENTON -- John F. Hall, 87, died Monday at Dekalb Medical Center, Decatur, Ga.
Born in Crisp County, Ga., he lived in the Trenton and Lawrenceville areas for more than 50 years.
He retired from Laborers International Union of North America, Union Local 369, in 1983 after 38 years .
He was a member of Union Baptist Church of Trenton and its deacon board.
Husband of the late Carrie Hall and brother of the late William Hall, he is survived by a sister-in-law, Elizabeth Matthews; a niece, Evelyn Matthews of Philadelphia; and other relatives and friends.
Funeral will be noon Friday at Union Baptist Church, 301 Pennington Ave., with the Rev. Simeon D. Spencer officiating.
Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Hamilton.
Calling hours will be 10 a.m. until service Friday at the church.

Barbara Gianakopoulos

TRENTON -- Barbara Gianakopoulos, 94, died Tuesday at Ewing Nursing Home.
Born in Spata, Greece, she lived in the Trenton area since 1920.
She was a laundry supervisor for Mercer Medical Center.
She was a member of American Ladies Auxiliary Post 93.
Daughter of the late Peter and Bessie Prokos, mother of the late Peter and George Gianakopoulos and wife of the late James Gianakopoulos, she is survived by a granddaughter, Barbara Crea of Mistic Isle; nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral will be 9 a.m. Saturday from M. William Murphy Funeral Home, 1863 Hamilton Ave.
Service will be 10 a.m. at St. George Greek Orthodox Church, 1200 Klockner Road.
Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
Calling hours will be 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, with Trisagion service at 7:15 p.m.

Joseph Ferst

PEMBERTON -- Joseph F. Ferst, 83, died Tuesday in Browns Mills.
Born in Conshohocken, Pa., he was a longtime Browns Mills resident.
He was a steel worker for Janny Cylinder Co. in Pennsylvania.
Husband of the late Mary J. O'Bara, he is survived by two daughters, Barbara Maminski and Geraldine Romesburg; a son, Richard J. Ferst; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and three brothers, Benjamin, Stanley and Lou.
Funeral Mass will be 11 a.m. Friday at St. Peter's Church, Route 40, Pleasantville.
Burial will be at the family's convenience.
Calling hours will be 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Lechner Funeral Home, 24 N. Main St., Medford, and 10 a.m. until service Friday at the church.
George Conley III

CRANBURY -- George E. Conley III, 70, died Wednesday at home.
Born in Flushing, he was a longtime Cranbury resident.
He retired as owner of Sunnyfield Nursing Home, Cranbury, in 1998 after more than 45 years.
He was president of New Jersey Association of Health Care Facilities; captain, president and charter member of Cranbury First Aid Squad; member of Cranbury Lions Club, where he was awarded Lion of the Year; special police officer and Water Department clerk, Cranbury; president of Southern Middlesex County Chamber of Commerce; Republican committee person; Cranbury Republican municipal chairman; member of Hightstown-Apollo Lodge 41, F&AM; Crescent Temple AAONMS; elder of First Presbyterian Church of Cranbury and active in Cranbury Little League.
He attended the Peddie School and Rider College.
Son of the late George E. Conley Jr. and Eva Wilson Conley, he is survived by his wife of 51 years, Lillian Shivers Conley; a son and daughter-in-law, George E. IV and Margaret Conley of Cranbury; three daughters and sons-in-law, Christine and Charles Stults III of Hightstown, Cynthia and Peter Erickson of Elizabeth City, N.C., and Spring and Eric Glover of Hightstown; and 10 grandchildren.
Funeral will be 11 a.m. Saturday at First Presbyterian Church of Cranbury, with the Rev. Paul Rhebergen officiating.
Burial will be in Brainerd Cemetery.
Calling hours will be 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 9 p.m. Friday at A.S. Cole Funeral Home, 22 N. Main St., with Cranbury First Aid Squad memorial service at 8 p.m. Masonic service and Lions Club memorial service will follow.
