LAWRENCE -- David R. Ranke, 40, of Lawrenceville died Wednesday at Capital Health System at Mercer hospital.
Born in Trenton, he was a lifelong area resident.
He worked at Lawrence Township Department of Roads. He formerly worked as a clerk at the state Division of Taxation.
He was a member of St. Hedwig Roman Catholic Church and son of a legionaire at the American Legion Post 414, Lawrenceville.
Son of the late H. William Ranke, he is survived by his mother, Marion Nerwinski Ranke of Lawrenceville; a brother and sister-in-law, Wayne and Denise Ranke of Lawrenceville; a sister and brother-in-law, Joanne and Paul Franks of Lawrenceville; two nieces and a nephew, Christin and Steven Ranke and Kelli Anne Franks; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral will be 9 a.m. Friday at Lisiecki Memorial Home, 1028 N. Olden Ave., Trenton.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. at St. Hedwig Roman Catholic Church, 872 Brunswick Ave., Trenton.
Burial will be in St. Hedwig Cemetery, Ewing.
Calling hours will be 8 a.m. until service Friday at the memorial home.

Stephen H. Piotrowski

HAMILTON -- Stephen H. Piotrowski, 97, died Wednesday at Mercerville Convalescent and Care Center, Mercerville.
Born in Poland, he came to the United States in 1903. He was a Trenton and Hamilton resident.
He retired in 1969 after 29 years at General Motors Fisher Inland Guide Plant, Ewing. He was a member of United Auto Workers Local 731 and enjoyed home gardening and fishing.
Son of the late Martin and Victoria Waszak Piotrowski, he is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Henry and Natalie Piotrowski of Levittown, Pa., and Fred and Jane Piotrowski of Oriental, N.C.; two daughters and a son-in-law, Theresa Piotrowski of Trenton and Joan and Stephen Renn of Beach Haven; three sisters, Anne Nadolny of Hamilton, Cecilia Spriggs of Archie, Miss., and Josephine Konoski of Elizabeth; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be 9:45 a.m. Friday at Winowicz Funeral Home, Adeline and Beatty streets.
Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated 10 a.m. Friday at Church of the Holy Cross, with Monsignor Edward Arnister officiating.
Burial will be private.
Calling hours will be 8:30 to 9:45 a.m. at the funeral home.

Bruno R. Nystrom

LAWRENCE -- Bruno R. Nystrom, 83, of Lawrenceville, died Tuesday at home.
Born in Haksberg, Ludvika, Sweeden, he lived in Lawrenceville 33 years.
He worked 34 years at Local 6 of the International Union of Bricklayers and Allied Craftsmen, Mount Holly, before retiring in 1981. He was a member of Palestine Lodge No. 111 F&AM, where he was a past master and chaplain emeritus. He was a 32nd degree mason and a member of the Shrine Temple and Vasa Order of America.
He was an Army veteran of World War II.
Son of the late Alfred and Ruth Andersson Nystrom, husband of the late Violet Palm Nystrom, father of the late Charles, and brother of the late Bjorn, he is survived by his wife, Ethel Schilling Nystrom; a son and daughter-in-law, Victor and Laurie Beltran of Ewing; two sons, David of Flemington and Michael Lashutka of Albuquerque, N.M.; a sister-in-law, Madeline Nystrom of Charlotte Harbor, Fla.; and two grandsons, Anthony and Kyle Beltran of Ewing.
Memorial service will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Poulson & Van Hise Funeral Directors, 650 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville, with the Rev. Sherman Skinner officiating.
Burial will be in Fountain Lawn Memorial Park.
Calling hours will be 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Masonic service will be 9:30 a.m.

Edith Lichtenstein

EWING -- Edith Alterman Lichtenstein, 92, died Tuesday at Greenwood House.
Born in Mount Vernon, N.Y., she lived in Roanoke, Va., 50 years before moving to New Jersey three years ago.
She was a longtime member of Temple Emanuel and its Sisterhood, Book Club and Friendship Club. She was a member and former president of United Order of True Sisters and a member of Hadassah.
Mother of the late Barry Lichtenstein and wife of the late Sidney Lichtenstein, she is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Stephen and Carole Lichtenstein of Lawrenceville; and seven grandchildren, Lee, John, Robert, Paul and Matthew Lichtenstein, Holly Goldberg and Amy Davidson; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be 1 p.m. Friday at Temple Emanuel, 1163 Persinger Road, Roanoke, Va.
Burial will follow at Temple Emanuel Cemetery.
Period of mourning will be observed in Roanoke, Va.

John Lengyel Sr.

FLORENCE -- John Lengyel Sr., 83, died Tuesday at Virtua Health Memorial Hospital, Mount Holly.
Born in Trenton, he was a longtime Florence resident.
He was a machinist at Griffin Pipe Co. 43 years before retiring in 1980. He was a member of St. Clare's Church and its Holy Name Society. He also belonged to Pope John Paul Council No. 428 of the Knights of Columbus and St. Alphonso's Retreat and was a former shop steward at work.
He also was active with Griffin Pipe Bowling League and was a Florence Township Canteen disc jockey in his early teens. He also was a big supporter of Florence Township sports.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Belinda "Bing" Romito Lengyel and two sons and a daughter-in-law, George M. Lengyel of Florence, and John Jr. and Janis Lengyel of Shamong; a daughter, Rosemary Julia Long of Lancaster, Pa.; and four grandchildren, Jason and Justin Lengyel, Ernest Long and Desiree Barker; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral will be 9 a.m. Saturday at Dennison Funeral Home, 214 W. Front Street, with the Rev. Felix Vanza officiating.
Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
Calling hours will be 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

William W. Kenderdine

NEWVILLE, Pa. -- William W. Kenderdine, 83, died Monday at Swaim Health Center.
Born in Philadelphia, he also lived in Trenton.
He was a supervisor with the U.S. Postal Service, Trenton. He was a member of Big Spring Presbyterian Church, Newville.
He was a Navy veteran of World War II.
Son of the late Harold and Edith M. McDowell Kenderdine, he is survived by his wife, Erma M. Burdett Kenderdine; a son, David A. of Slatington; two daughters, Virginia M. Frank of Bridgeport, W. Va., and Beth A. Porter of Charleston, W. Va; and three grandchildren.
Graveside service will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Big Spring Presbyterian Cemetery, with the Rev. William Beck officiating.
Arrangements are by Egger Funeral Home.
Ella L. Geddes

LAWRENCE -- Ella L. Geddes of Lawrenceville, 82, died Tuesday at The Medical Center at Princeton.
Born in Elizabeth, she graduated from Abraham Clark High School and attended Rider College.
She started her own accounting firm and worked as a plant accountant at Princeton Laboratory.
She was a member of Lawrence Road Presbyterian Church, where she taught Sunday School for many years. She also was a member of the Business and Professional Women's Club of Central New Jersey, Institute of Management Accountants and Lawrence Five Seniors.
She is survived by nieces and nephews.
Funeral will be private.
