HOPEWELL TOWNSHIP -- Elvira Astore Ferrante, 89, died Thursday at Forrestal Nursing and Rehabilitation Center at the Windrows, Princeton.
Born in Italy, she lived in Ewing 37 years and in Hopewell three years.
She was a member of St. James Roman Catholic Church, Senior Citizen's Club, Altar Rosary Society, Trinitarian 3rd Order and was past president of St. Ann Society.
Daughter of the late Antonio and Angela Inverso Astore, wife of the late Albert Ferrante, sister of the late Margaret Mennella and Pasquale Astore and sister-in-law of the late Pietro Ferrante, she is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Albert Jr. and Carol Ferrante of Trenton, and Angelo S. of Hopewell; a daughter and son-in-law, Antoinette and Robert Lauritsen of California; a brother, John Astore of Hamilton; 11 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
Funeral will be 8:30 a.m. Monday from Parkside Brenna-Cellini Funeral Home, 1584 Parkside Ave., Ewing.
Burial will be in Ewing Cemetery.
Calling hours will be 7:30 until service Monday at the funeral home.
Robert M. Crooks

RICHBORO, Pa. -- Robert M. Crooks, 90, died here Thursday.
Born in Philadelphia, he lived in Lower Makefield for 44 years and was a resident of Bucks County for 49 years.
He retired in 1994 after 24 years as an attorney, practicing law in the Bucks County and Philadelphia areas.
Previously, he was a corporate executive with IBM and Sperry Rand Corp., New York City.
He was a Marine Corps veteran of World War II, serving as a captain in the South Pacific and in the Guadalcanal, Guam and Okinawa campaigns.
Mr. Crooks was a life member of the Masonic Lodge, Philadelphia.
He received a bachelor's from Temple University in 1934, a master's in economics 1934 and a law degree in 1937 from the University of Pennsylvania. He was then admitted to the Pennsylvania Bar.
Son of the late William J. and Lucy Dolfin Crooks, husband of the late Lois Anderson Crooks, father of the late Robert A. Esq. and brother of the late Kenneth, he is survived by a son, William C. Esq. of Greenwich, Conn.; and eight grandchildren.
Memorial service and burial will be 11 a.m. Nov. 27 at West Laurel Hill Cemetery, Philadelphia.

BORDENTOWN TOWNSHIP -- Marla Taylor Antenor, infant daughter of Veda and Margarette Eugene Antenor, died Thursday at Capital Health System at Mercer hospital, Trenton.
Sister of the late Ludween, Megan Sere and Azu Ezeife Antenor, in addition to her parents, she is survived by maternal grandparents, Marie and Dieuseul Eugene of Trenton; paternal grandparents, Herman Antenor of Trenton and Rozena Pierre of Haiti; and an aunt, Ludween Eugene of Trenton.
Memorial service will be 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at Hospital Chapel at Capital Health System at Mercer hospital, 446 Bellevue Ave., Trenton, with Monsignor John K. Dermond, pastor of St. Francis Church, officiating.
Arrangements are by Brenna Funeral Home, Trenton.
Edward E. Weber

EAST WINDSOR -- Edward E. Weber, 74, died Sunday at Cranbury Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Born in New York City, he lived in Monmouth Junction before moving to East Windsor 18 years ago.
He retired in 1985 after 40 years as a steward and purser with Pan American World Airways.
He owned Chris Ward Kennels and had bred, raised and shown more than 100 award-winning toy poodles.
Mr. Weber was an Army veteran of World War II, serving in Europe.
He was a member of Watchung Poodle Club and Alcoholics Anonymous.
Funeral will be 9 a.m. Wednesday from Glackin/Saul Funeral Home, 136 Morrison Ave., Hightstown.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10 a.m. at St. Anthony of Padua Church, 251 Franklin St., Hightstown, with the Rev. Patrick Castles, pastor, officiating.
Burial will be in Brainerd Cemetery, Cranbury.
Calling hours will be 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with a Christian Wake service.
Richard J. Stives

HAMILTON -- Richard J. Stives, 74, died Sunday at home.
Born in Mount Rose, he was a longtime Princeton Junction resident before moving to Hamilton.
He retired in 1971 as a supervisor with American Cyanamid and later worked with his brother, the owner of Stives Painting Co.
Mr. Stives was an Army veteran of World War II.
He was a member of St. Paul Roman Catholic Church, Princeton, serving as Eucharistic minister and usher; American Legion Post 93, Trenton; and American Legion Post 76, Princeton.
Son of the late Frederick E. and Mary Doyle Courtney Stives, he is survived by his wife, Dorothy Biesel Stives; two sons and daughters-in-law, Richard D. and Virginia A. Stives of Hamilton Square and Timothy A. and Karen M. Stives of Mercerville; two sisters, Dorothy Coffee of Lawrenceville and Janet Stathopulos of Ormand Beach, Fla.; two brothers, Frederick J. of Mercerville and John D. of Lancaster, Pa.; and two grandsons, Richard D. Jr. and Jason M. Stives.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Paul Roman Catholic Church.
Burial will be private.
There will be no calling hours.

BUCKINGHAM, Pa. -- Ida T. Capritti Semptimphelter, 82, died Sunday at Buckingham Valley Rehabilitation and Nursing Center.
Born in West Virginia, she was a lifelong Florence, N.J., resident before recently moving to Buckingham Township.
She retired as a seamstress from Burlington (N.J.) Dress Factory.
She was a member of St. Clare's Catholic Church, Florence, and its Altar Rosary Society; Good Neighbors Senior Citizens, Florence; and ILGW Garment Workers Union Local 125 AFL-CIO.
Wife of the late Louis Semptimphelter and sister of the late Silvio Capritti, she is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Joyce and John Shevchuk of Furlong; two sisters, Geraldine Buonanno of Burlington Township and Yolanda Bogue of Huntington Beach, Calif.; four brothers and two sisters-in-law, Mario, Geno, Peter, Sam and Emily and Helen Capritti, all of Florence; two grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
Funeral Mass will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Clare's Catholic Church, East Front and Walnut streets, Florence.
Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Florence.

Rafael Santiago Sanchez
11/15/99 TRENTON -- Rafael J. Santiago Sanchez, 76, died Saturday at home.
Born in Naranjito, Puerto Rico, he was an area resident 17 years.
Mr. Sanchez retired from the Army after 20 years and was a veteran of World War II and the Korean War. He received the Good Conduct Medal Bronze with three loops.
He was an expert marksman and truck master.
Mr. Sanchez graduated with honors from Master Sergeant School, Germany, while with the 7th Army Division.
He was a member of St. Mary's Roman Catholic Cathedral, hosting the Catholic Radio Show on Sundays and was a Eucharistic minister.
Son of the late Jose C. Santiago and Maria Sanchez Santiago, husband of the late Carmen L. Castro Santiago and brother of the late Luis A., Angel L., Julia, Aurea, Carmen and Iris, he is survived by three sons and two daughters-in-law, Rafael Jr. of Trenton, Eduardo and Miriam Santiago of Puerto Rico, and Manuel and Mirta Santiago of Florida; two daughters and sons-in-law, Alma R. and Ramon A. Matos of Trenton and Carmen and George Hall Sr. of Princess Anne, Md.; a brother and sister-in-law, Jose and Dolores Santiago of New York; 14 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and other relatives.
Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Cathedral, 151 N. Warren St., with Monsignor Manuel Fernandez, pastor, officiating.
Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Cedar Lane, Hamilton.
Calling hours will be 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and 8 to 9 a.m. Wednesday at Chiacchio Southview Funeral Home, 990 S. Broad St.
