FLEMINGTON -- Anne Pfeiffer, 88, died Saturday at Hunterdon Medical Center, Raritan Township.
Born in Hoboken, she lived in Fairlawn and Whiting before moving to Flemington this year.
She retired as a payroll clerk with YWCA, Hackensack.
Daughter of the late Emil and Anna Knalker Uetterling and wife of the late William G. Pfeiffer, she is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, William G. and Simone V. Pfeiffer of Flemington; a sister, Alice Munoz of Whiting; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main St.
Cremation will be at Garden State Crematory, North Bergen.
Calling hours will be 10 a.m. until service Tuesday at the funeral home.

William F. Maxwell Jr.

HERSHEY'S MILL, Pa. -- William F. Maxwell Jr., 78, died Saturday at Paoli Memorial Hospital.
Born in Colorado Springs, he was a resident of Englewood, N.J., and Devon before moving to Hershey's Mill 13 years ago.
He retired in 1988 from Maxwell Institute, a private business school in Norristown that he founded in 1970.
He also retired in 1963 as regional sales manager and former salesman with Meade Johnson Co. after 17 years. He joined Penguin Industries as executive vice president in 1963.
Mr. Maxwell was a Navy veteran of World War II. He was a commissioned officer and naval aviator/instructor.
With Maxwell Institute, he chaired accreditation teams for the National Association of Trade and Technical Schools, was appointed by Gov. Dick Thornburg to the Pennsylvania Advisory Council on Vocational Education from 1979 to 1982, and retired in 1987 as a member of Meridian Bank's Montgomery County Advisory Board.
He graduated from Teaneck (N.J.) High School in 1938 and Franklin & Marshall College in 1943.
Mr. Maxwell enjoyed golf, gardening and vacationing with his wife in Florida during the winter months.
Son of the late William Floyd Sr. and Myrtle Cunningham Maxwell and brother of the late Lynn Godwin, he is survived by his wife, V. Gloria Runge Maxwell; a son, William F. III of Collegeville; two daughters, Linda Maxwell of Princeton Township, N.J., and Julie M. Boland of Skippack; a sister, Betsy Miller of New City, N.Y.; and two grandsons.
Memorial service will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Mauger-Givnish Funeral Home, 24 Monument Ave., Malvern.
Burial will be in Philadelphia Memorial Park, Frazer.
Calling hours will be 9 a.m. until service Thursday at the funeral home.

Catherine J. Martin

LANCASTER, Pa. -- Catherine J. Kemo Martin, 80, died Wednesday at Lancaster General Hospital.
Born in Trenton, she lived in Lancaster since 1956.
She was a member of Lipinski Senior Center, Trenton, and American Legion Post 458.
Mrs. Martin enjoyed bingo.
Daughter of the late Michael and Hannah Cheeseman Kemo, wife of the late Lloyd Martin and sister of the late Michael and John Kemo and Evelyn Bunda, she is survived by seven sisters and three brothers-in-law, Mary Swedo, Dorothy and John Clancy and Harriet Lloyd, all of Trenton, Elizabeth and Stanley Myslinski of Hamilton, Jean Owens and Helen and Ray Pyontek, all of Hamilton; and Margaret Mastromarino of Englishtown; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Richard and Janet Lee Kemo of Lawrenceville, and Frank and Pat Kemo of Merchantsville, Md.; and nieces and nephews.
Funeral will be 11 a.m. Wednesday from Winowicz Funeral Chapel, 865 Brunswick Ave., Trenton.
Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Michael's Church, 1130 Brunswick Ave., Trenton, with Monsignor James Innocenzi officiating.
Burial will be in St. Mary's Assumption Cemetery
2, Hamilton.

TRENTON -- Mary Hosey, 71, died Wednesday at Royal Health Gate Nursing Home.
Born and educated in Selma, Ala., she lived in Brooklyn, N.Y., more than 40 years before moving to Trenton five months ago.
She was a domestic worker in Brooklyn.
Daughter of the late Henry and Randie Perry and wife of the late Samuel Hosey, she is survived by four nieces, Mary Miller and her husband Vern, Diane, Daisey and Keila Campbell, all of Trenton; and other relatives and friends.
Private services will be at the family's convenience.
Arrangements are by Anderson Funeral Service.
John M. Gard

KETTERING, Ohio -- John M. Gard, 76, died Friday at Hospice of Dayton.
Born in St. Joseph, Mich., he lived in Kettering.
He retired from Hollander Industries and worked with Dayton Rose Society.
Mr. Gard was an Army veteran of World War II.
He was a member of Kettering Seventh-day Adventist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Iva May; a son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Valerie Gard of Trenton; three daughters and a son-in-law, Nancy Grillot of Beavercreek, JoAnne Keegan Gard of Vandalia and Ruth and Jay Schaefer of Moraine; a sister, Josephine Edinger of Sodus, Mich.; and 13 grandchildren, Benjamin and his wife Melissa, Sara, Jade, Lee, Blake, Sydney, Gianna, Hannah, Abigail, Michelle, Beth, K.C. and Kurt.
Funeral will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Kettering Seventh-day Adventist Church, 3939 Stonebridge Road, with the Rev. Dan Stevens officiating.
Burial will be in Heritage Hills Memory Gardens.
Calling hours will be 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Newcomer-Barclay Funeral Home, 3940 Kettering Blvd.

HAMILTON -- Marie Fischer, 90, died Sunday at Capital Health System at Mercer hospital, Trenton.
Born in Oshkosh, Wis., she lived in Detroit before moving to Mercerville in 1986.
She was a member of Our Savior Evangelical Lutheran Church, East Brunswick.
Daughter of the late John and Anna Marie Schuhart, sister of the late Alvin and William Schuhart and wife of the late Edward R. Fischer, she is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Neal E. and Sandra L. Fischer of Columbus; two sisters, Matilda Kreuger and Alice Nelson, and two brothers, Robert and Richard Schuhart, all of Oshkosh; a grandson, Keith E. Fischer, and his wife, Kristie; and nieces and nephews.
Funeral will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Knott's Colonial Funeral Home, 2946 S. Broad St., with the Rev. Tim Wempner, pastor of Our Savior Lutheran Church, officiating.
Entombment will be in Colonial Memorial Park Mausoleum.

Leonard E. Drewry Jr.

EWING -- Leonard E. Drewry Jr., 78, died Friday at Capital Health System at Mercer hospital, Trenton.
Born in Lynchburg, Va., he was a longtime area resident.
He was educated in Selma, Ala., public schools and graduated from Tuskegee (Ala.) Institute.
He retired after 35 years with the Trenton Postal Service.
Mr. Drewry was an Army veteran of World War II and president of APUV.
Son of the late Leonard E. Sr. and Bessie Boyd Drewry, he is survived by his wife, Mary Delgado Drewry; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Leonard E. III and Charlene Drewry of Ewing and Lloyd of Trenton; a daughter, Jean Davis of Trenton; a brother, Henry Drewry of Princeton; a sister and brother-in-law, Bessie and William Briscoe of Atlanta; two sisters-in-law, Ethel Russell of Ewing and Cecelia Hodges of Princeton; and two grandchildren, Leonard and Tyler.
Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Greenwood Cemetery, Hamilton, with the Rev. Darrell Armstrong, assistant pastor of Shiloh Baptist Church, officiating.
There will be no calling hours.
