MANCHESTER TOWNSHIP -- Janet G. Meister, 70, died Wednesday at the Community Health Care Center, Toms River.
Born in Norristown, Pa., she lived in Titusville for 37 years before moving to Whiting.
She worked for Mercer Mutual Insurance Co., Pennington, for 10 years.
She was a member of Titusville Presbyterian Church, where she was a deacon, trustee, treasurer and Sunday school teacher.
Daughter of the late Elmer Lee and Edna Schreiber Green, she is survived by her husband, Edward A. Meister; three sons and a daughter-in-law, Edward R. and Roseanne Meister of Hamilton and Mark W. and Catherine Meister, and Jeffrey L. Meister, all of New Hampshire; a daughter and son-in-law, Beth Jean M. and Christian Cash of Cobleskill, N.Y.; three brothers, Elmer Green Jr. of Hi-Nella, William Green of California, Md., and Robert Green of Summerdale; a sister, Mildred Lunn of Berlin; and 11 grandchildren.
Funeral will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Titusville Presbyterian Church, River Drive, with the Rev. John Sweet officiating.
Burial will be in Harbourton Cemetery.
Calling hours will be 9:30 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the church.

YARDLEY, Pa. -- Mary E. Hoffmeister, 83, died Saturday at home.
Born in Philadelphia, she lived in Yardley and Lower Makefield 46 years.
She was a secretary for the Pennsbury School District before retiring. She also was a sales consultant for Mary Kay Cosmetics and World Book.
She served on the founding committee of Bucks County College and was a member of the Pennsbury PTA, Cub Scouts, Girl Scouts, Yardley-Makefield Fire Co. Auxiliary, Lower Makefield Women's Club, and Trinity Chapel, Trenton.
Wife of the late Henry Hoffmeister, she is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Henry G. and Becky Hoffmeister of Levittown; a daughter and son-in-law, Eleanor and Bruce Reigel of Lower Makefield; and three grandchildren, Heidilyn, Danielle and Ben S. Hoffmeister.
Burial Office and Eucharist will be 11 a.m. March 4 at Trinity Cathedral, 801 W. State St., Trenton, with the Revs. Lloyd G. Chattin and Anne Wrede officiating.

PLUMSTED -- Clara Potter Gordon, 89, died Tuesday at Manatee Memorial Hospital, Bradenton, Fla.
Born in Imlaystown, she lived in Allentown, N.J., most of her life before moving to Cream Ridge 15 years ago.
A homemaker, she was active in the needlework guild.
Wife of the late Donald R. Gordon and mother of the late Kathryn Stevens, she is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Elizabeth G. Nolan of Bradenton, Fla., Mary G. and Clifford Wilson of Royersford, Pa., and Karl Stevens of Marathon, Fla., a stepsister, Vivian Hartshorn of Cream Ridge; 10 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be 11 a.m. Monday at Peppler Funeral Home, 114 S. Main St., Allentown.
Burial will be in Cream Ridge Cemetery.
Calling hours will be 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday, and 10 to 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Saul Ernstein

LAKEWOOD -- Saul Ernstein, 72, died Wednesday at Riverview Hospital, Red Bank.
Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., he lived in Roosevelt for 43 years before moving to Lakewood several years ago.
He retired in 1992 after 30 years with the State of New Jersey and the Hamilton Township insurance departments.
He was a Navy veteran of World War II.
Mr. Ernstein was a member of Congregation Anshei Roosevelt.
He is survived by two daughters, Susan B. Ernstein of Houston and Donna Parmet of Havertown, Pa.; and a brother, Bernard Erstein of Brooklyn, N.Y.
Graveside service will be 10 a.m. today at Roosevelt Cemetery.

John J. Deignan

PENNINGTON -- John J. Deignan, 76, died Wednesday at The Medical Center of Princeton.
Born in New York City, he lived in Clifton Park, N.Y., before moving to Pennington last year.
He retired last year after 30 years as a real estate transaction manager for Country Club Acres, Cliffton Park.
He served in the 8th Army Air Corps during World War II.
Mr. Deignan was a member of the American Legion, Hagerstown, Md. He served on the Saratoga County mental health and community services boards.
He was a graduate of All Hallows High School, Bronx, N.Y., and Columbia University, New York City.
He is survived by his wife, Ruth E. Deignan; a son, John J. Jr. of Saugerties, N.Y.; three daughters, Kathleen Deignan of Pennington, Ellen E. George of Denver and Mary Ann Deignan of New York City; a sister, Patricia McElroy of Farmington, Mich.; and five grandchildren.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Paul's Roman Catholic Church, 218 Nassau St., Princeton.
Burial will be in Pennington Cemetery.
Calling hours will be 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Blackwell Memorial Home, 21 N. Main St.

Estella Casley

TRENTON -- Estella Casley, 94, died Wednesday at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Hamilton.
Born in Trenton, she was a lifelong resident.
She was a machine operator for General Motors' Inland Fisher Guide, Ewing, for many years.
A church pianist, she played at Galilee, Friendship and Robbinsville Baptist churches. She was a member of the Church of Christ, Trenton, and a former member of Galilee Baptist. She was honored as Mother of the Year by Bronzettes Inc.
She studied music at the Trenton Conservatory of Music.
Daughter of the late Jacob and Rose Paige Blackwell, and sister of the late Clarence Blackwell, she is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Anna and Jerry H. Eure Sr.; six grandchildren, Robert and Dianna Smith of Missouri City, Texas, Jerry Eure of Pennington, and Geraldine Eure and Darrell and Sherri Eure-Washington of Trenton; four great-grandchildren; a special niece, Beverly Blackwell Lucas; and other relatives and friends.
Funeral will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Covenant Presbyterian Church, 471 Parkway Ave., with the Rev. Dr. Hugh Smith officiating.
Burial will be in Ewing Cemetery, Ewing.
Calling hours will be 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the church.

HAMILTON -- Joseph P. Casey, 86, died Wednesday at home.
Born in Chicago, he lived in the Trenton area most of his life.
He was a New Jersey State Prison corrections officer, retiring in 1981.
He was an Army Air Forces veteran of World War II. He served in the military for 25 years, retiring with the rank of master sergeant.
Son of the late Peter and Maryann Kubiak Casey, he is survived by his wife of 26 years, Edith Hill Casey; a son and daughter-in-law, Joseph P. Jr. and Eileen Casey of Kentucky; two stepsons and their wives, John and Barbara Wolverton of Delaware and Eddie and Angie Wolverton of Ulster, Pa.; two stepdaughters and their husbands, Diane and August Martini and Betty and Robert D'Angelo, all of Hamilton; two grandchildren, Brian Casey and Michele Murphy; great-grandchildren; and other relatives.
Memorial service will be 11 a.m. Saturday at M. William Murphy Funeral Home, 1863 Hamilton Ave., Trenton.
