Paul was an assistant social worker and supervisor at Marlboro Psychiatric Hospital, retiring in 1985 after 25 years of service.
After that, he worked at Howard L. Smith Hardware Store, Ocean Grove. He was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church, an exempt fireman for 38 years with E.H. Stokes Company No. 3, and a member of the Fireman's Pack Committee, all of Ocean Grove. Born in Chicago, he lived in DeMoines, Iowa, before moving to the Shore area in 1960.
Surviving are his wife, E. Janet Stoll Reece; a son, Norman W. Reece, a retired Air Force lieutenant colonel, of Niceville, Fla.; a daughter, Marjorie R. Welch of Eugene, Ore.; a brother, Dr. Milton Reece of Oak Island, N.C.; a sister, Ann Kangas of Columbus, Ohio; and two grandchildren, Kelly E. and Jake E. Reece of Niceville, Fla.
Contributions to the St. Paul's Methodist Church Food Pantry in his memory would be appreciated.
LOREN T. MOSES
87, of OCEAN GROVE, January 26 at Jersey Shore Medical Center, Neptune.
He was a manager at Tesco Distributors, Ocean Grove, for 20 years, retiring in 1970. He served in the Army during World War II and participated in the Invasion of Normandy. He was a member of the Washington Fire Co., Ocean Grove, the Ocean Grove Fire Police, the Ocean Grove First Aid Squad, the Neptune Seniors and was a volunteer with the Neptune Police department. Born in Cleveland, he was a lifelong resident of the Shore area. His wife, Nancy Weldon Moses, died in 1998.
Surviving are two sons, Lee L. and Phil N., both of Ocean Grove; six grand-children; and four great-grandchildren.

ANDREW J. PANICO, 71, of West End, LONG BRANCH, died Monday at his son's home in Holliston, Mass. He was a manufacturers' representative for Panico Enterprises, Colts Neck Township, from 1967 to present. He was a member of the National Association of General Merchandise Representatives, and a World War II Army veteran. Mr. Panico was born in Brooklyn and lived in Colts Neck before moving to Long Branch five years ago.
Surviving are three sons, William A., Holliston, and Andrew Jr. and Nicholas A., both of Colts Neck; a daughter, Suzanne Bullock, Millstone Township; a brother, James, Tuckerton; three sisters, Rose Castellani and Antoniette Panico, both of Long Island, and Florence Bonvicino, Douglaston, N.Y.; and four grandchildren. BURYL RALPH ABLES, 65, of Wheeling, W.Va., whose daughter lives in Wayside, OCEAN TOWNSHIP, died Sunday at Akron City Hospital, Akron, Ohio. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War. Mr. Ables lived in Fairlawn, Ohio, before moving to Wheeling.
Surviving are three sons, David, James and Fred, all of New Jersey; two daughters, Charlotte Wrobleskwi, Germany, and Deborah Nissim, Wayside; two brothers, Harold, Ohio, and Dayton, W.Va.; two sisters, Mary Strader, West Virginia, and Bonnie Pravdick, Florida; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. CHARLES MOSES SR., 55, of ASBURY PARK, died Sunday at home. He was employed at Earl Navy Base for 10 years. Born in Mobile, Ala., he moved to the Shore area in 1965.
Surviving are a son, S. Charles Jr., Mobile; a daughter, Taquana Baskett, Neptune; his mother, Mary Ida Dees, Mobile; six brothers, L. C. Moses and James Dees, both of Asbury Park, Will Wright, Neptune, Ellis Dees, California, Fred Dees, Mobile, and Albert Dees, serving in the Marine Corps in Florida; and two sisters, Ada Goldfarb, Asbury Park, and Carrie Hicks, Neptune. DONALD F. MUIRHEAD, 75, of Fanwood, whose daughters live in MONMOUTH AND OCEAN COUNTIES, died Monday at Berkeley Heights Convalescent Center. He was a grinder for Plessey Aerodynamics, Hanover Township, for 10 years, retiring in 1988. Prior to that, he worked for Singer Co., Elizabeth, and for the Cranford Radio. He was a World War II Navy veteran. Mr. Muirhead was born in Elizabeth and lived there before moving to Fanwood 37 years ago.
Surviving are his wife, Mary Muirhead; a son, William P., Fanwood; two daughters, Carol Dugan, Hazlet Township, and Nancy Cruser, Lakehurst; two sisters, Doris Struble, Virginia, and Grace Maloney, Linden; and five grandchildren. Memorial Funeral Home, Fanwood, is in charge of arrangements.

EDWIN T. HILBERT, 85, of MIDDLETOWN TOWNSHIP, died Monday at Riverview Extended Care, Red Bank. He retired in 1967 as foreman from Pabst Brewing Co., Newark, after more than 30 years of service. After his retirement, he worked for Driftwood Beach Club, Sea Bright, for over 20 years. Mr. Hilbert was born in Newark and lived in Middletown for many years.
Surviving are his wife of 67 years, Pearl Hilbert; a son, Eric, Huachuca City, Ariz.; three daughters, Carol Stovola, Red Bank, Janice Trevena, Kingston, Franklin Township, and Joan Hilbert, Middletown; 12 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. HARRY SAMUEL FRIEDMAN, 89, of FREEHOLD, died yesterday at his daughter's home in Wayside, Ocean Township. He was the owner of Harry S. Friedman Plumbing and Heating Co., Freehold, for over 50 years, retiring seven years ago. He was a member of Temple Agudath Achim, Freehold, and the Jordan Masonic Lodge, Neptune. Mr. Friedman was born in Braddock, Pa., and lived in Freehold for over 50 years.
His wife, Mildred Ehlin Friedman, died in 1994. Surviving are a daughter, Leona R. Fundler, Wayside; and three grandchildren. Bloomfield-Cooper Jewish Chapels, Ocean, is in charge of arrangements.

JENNIE GRAVATT BOYLE, 97, a lifelong resident of Clarksburg, MILLSTONE TOWNSHIP, died yesterday at the Manor, Freehold Township. Mrs. Boyle was a member of United Presbyterian Church of Millstone, Perrineville, where she served as a deacon and Sunday school teacher.
Her husband, Edgar C., died in 1955. Surviving are two sons, Robert E., West Long Branch, and Leslie C., Clarksburg; a daughter, Ruth Ann Hallman, Lansing, Mich.; a brother, Robert D. Gravatt, Clarksburg; seven grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. Higgins Memorial Home, Freehold, is in charge of arrangements.
