ROBERT OSTERLUND, AGE 83, MILLSTONE

Robert T. Osterlund died Friday in Port Angeles, Wash. He was 83.
He was born in Springfield, Pa., and lived in New Brunswick and Millstone, before moving to Sequim, Wash., nine years ago.
He retired in 1980 as director of professional relations at Johnson & Johnson, where he worked for 42 years.
He was an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II.
He was a member of Dungeness Valley Lutheran Church, Sequim.
He was a member of the Exchange Club and Port Angeles Power Squadron.
His daughter, Marian Lee Hershoff, died in 1993.
He is survived by his wife, the former Marian S. O'Brien; a son, Bob of Corralas, N.M.; two daughters, Virginia von Euen of Portland, Ore., and Barbara Osterlund of Palm Beach, Fla., and six grandsons.
Services will be private. Arrangements are by the Harper-Ridgeview Funeral Chapel, 105 W. Fourth St., Port Angeles, Wash.

JOSEPH A. MANCINI SR., AGE 52, SOUTH BOUND BROOK

Joseph Anthony Mancini Sr. died yesterday at home. He was 52.
He was born in Somerville and lived in Bridgewater and Washington before moving to South Bound Brook 20 years ago.
He was a laborer for most of his life and was employed by Local 779, Somerville, until 1987. Before that, he was a self-employed mason contractor.
He served in the Army during the Vietnam War.
He was a former member of the Raritan Moose Lodge.
A daughter, Donna Oakley, died in 1982. A brother, Harry Harvey, also died previously.
He is survived by his wife, the former Georgene Petrusky; two sons, Joseph Jr. of Lebanon and John Garlewicz at home; three daughters, Gena of Manville, Debra Luise of Somerville and Carol Garlewicz of Indiana; three brothers, Patrick Mancini of Branchburg, Robert Metzner of Pennsylvania and Fred Metzner of Manville; two sisters, Joyce Kazmar of Manville and Pauline Boyer of Bridgewater, and four grandchildren.
Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at the Branchburg Funeral Home, 910 Route 202 South, Branchburg. The committal will be private.
MARY J. LIPOT, AGE 79, MANVILLE

Mary J. Koslak Lipot died Sunday at home. She was 79.
She was born in Jersey City and lived in Manville for most of her life.
She was a homemaker.
She was a communicant of Sacred Heart R.C. Church, Manville.
She was a former member of the Manville Polish Home.
Her husband, Paul, died in 1991.
She is survived by a son, Paul L. of Manville; three daughters, MaryAnn Ciotola of Drums, Pa., Christine Scholar of the Perrineville section of Millstone and Kathleen at home; two brothers, Chester Koslak and John Koslak, both of Manville; three sisters, Helen Koslak and Louise Mazzariello, both of Manville, and Pauline Lesinski of the Finderne section of Bridgewater; six grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 8:30 a.m. Thursday from the Fucillo and Warren Funeral Home, 205 S. Main St., Manville, followed by a 9 a.m. funeral liturgy at Sacred Heart R.C. Church. Burial will be at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Hillsborough.

CHARLES P. McNAMARA, AGE 85, FRANKLIN

Charles P. McNamara died Saturday at St. Peter's Medical Center, New Brunswick. He was 85.
He was born in Summit and lived in the Murray Hill section of New Providence before moving to the Somerset section of Franklin in 1984.
He was an automobile mechanic for 40 years, retiring in 1975 from New Providence Garage in New Providence.
He was an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II.
He was a communicant of St. Matthias R.C. Church, Somerset.
Survivors are his wife, the former Nellie Stone; a son, John of Hopewell Township; a daughter, Joan Philpots of Somerset, and a nephew, Daniel McNamara of Summit.
Services will be 9 a.m. Wednesday at the Gleason Funeral Home, 1360 Hamilton St., Somerset, followed by a 9:30 a.m. funeral Mass at St. Matthias Church. Entombment will be in Resurrection Mausoleum, Piscataway.

THERESA McGOVERN, AGE 74, SPOTSWOOD

Theresa Zaba McGovern died Saturday at home. She was 74.
She was born in Garfield. She lived in Bayonne and in the Parlin section of Sayreville before moving to Spotswood.
Before retiring, she had worked for the Marriot Corp. and the New Jersey Turnpike Authority.
She was a communicant of St. Thomas the Apostle Church, Old Bridge.
Her husband, Rodney McGovern, died in 1977.
Surviving are two daughters, Mary Ann of Hartford, Conn., and Theresa of East Brunswick; a son, James of North Brunswick; a brother, Edward Zabecki of Bayonne, and four grandchildren.
Services will be 8:15 a.m. Wednesday from the Rezem Funeral Home, 457 Cranbury Road, East Brunswick. Mass will follow at 9 a.m. at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, Old Bridge.
Burial will be at Holy Cross Burial Park and Mausoleum, East Brunswick.

JOYCE KOVARSKY, AGE 55, FRANKLIN

Joyce Kovarsky died Saturday at Somerset Medical Center in Somerville. She was 55.
She was born in Staten Island, N.Y., and lived there before moving to the Somerset section of Franklin 25 years ago.
She retired in 1995 after 20 years as a software development group leader for Bell Labs in Lincroft.
She is survived by her husband, Milton Brogley; her son, Jeffrey Kovarsky of Los Angeles; two daughters, Sherri Padron of Piscataway and Renee Pastrick of Slatington Pa.; a brother, Douglas McKinnon of Albuquerque, and five grandchildren.
Services will be 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Gleason Funeral Home, 1360 Hamilton St., Somerset. Burial will follow at Franklin Memorial Park, North Brunswick.
LOIS CALAMIA, AGE 57, EAST BRUNSWICK

Lois Calamia died Friday at home. She was 57.
She was born in New Brunswick and lived in East Brunswick.
She was a professor for 20 years at Brookdale Community College in the Lincroft section of Middletown.
She was a graduate of Douglass College, Rutgers University, New Brunswick. She was a member of Phi Beta Kappa, the mathematics fraternity and the Douglass College Alumni Association.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church, Milltown, and served on its board of trustees.
Surviving are her husband, Thomas A.; a daughter, Beth Lauren Calamia of Oxford, Miss.; a son, Paul T. of Austin, Texas, and a sister, Susan Malon of Elizabeth.
Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Bronson & Son Funeral Home, 152 N. Main St., Milltown. Burial will be private.
