Edward F. Mueller died yesterday at home.
He was born in Newark and lived in Rahway for 44 years.
He retired 13 years ago as a production foreman after 42 years with RCA in the Harrison, Woodbridge and Somerville plants. He also had been a driver for Wilners Livery Service in Edison for 26 years.
He was a communicant of St. John the Apostle R.C. Church in Clark-Linden.
He was a Navy veteran.
He had been a member of the Rahway Ambulance Squad for 17 years.
Surviving are his wife of 48 years, the former Viola Skribner; a daughter, Linda Markel of the Colonia section of Woodbridge; a son, Gordon of Brick; two brothers, August of the Toms River section of Dover Township and Walter of Pleasantville, and four grandchildren.
Services will be 9 a.m. Tuesday at the Krowicki Gorny Memorial Home, 211 Westfield Ave., Clark, followed by a 10 a.m. Mass at St. John the Apostle R.C. Church, Linden. Burial will be at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover.
ELSIE L. CULLER, AGE 74, RAHWAY

Elsie L. Culler died Thursday at home. She was 74.
She was born in Connecticut and moved to Rahway 50 years ago.
She retired in 1983 after 20 years as a registered nurse at Roosevelt Hospital in Edison.
Surviving are a son, Glenn of Irvington; two sisters, Lulu Spinks and Loretta Briggs, both of Newark, and a grandson.
Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Jones Funeral Home, 247 Elm Ave., Rahway. Burial will be at Rosehill Cemetery.
JACK SCRIMENTI, AGE 83, RAHWAY

Jack Scrimenti died Friday at Rahway Hospital. He was 83.
He was born in New York City and moved to Rahway 60 years ago.
He retired in 1977 after 35 years as a sheet metal worker affiliated with the Sheet Metal Worker Union 22 of Elizabeth.
He was a life member of the Rahway Italian American Club.
He was a communicant of St. Mary's R.C. Church in Rahway.
Surviving are his wife, the former Emma Sanzone; a son, Ben of Oviedo, Fla.; a daughter, Anita Ryan of the Toms River section of Dover Township; a brother, Matty Scherment of Fort Lee; five grandchildren, and a great-grandson.
Services will be 9 a.m. Tuesday from the Lehrer-Gibilsco Funeral Home, 275 W. Milton Ave., Rahway, followed by a 10 a.m. Mass at St. Mary's R.C. Church. Burial will be at St. Gertrude's Cemetery, Colonia section of Woodbridge.
MADELINE RATH, AGE 81, ELIZABETH

Madeline Pierson Rath died Friday at St. Elizabeth Hospital. She was 81.
She was born in Cranbury and moved to Elizabeth 38 years ago.
She retired from Vail Dean School, Elizabeth, where she had taught elementary students from 1964 to 1982. Prior to that, she had been an instructor at the Pingry School in Elizabeth and also had taught in Monroe, Hightstown and Cranbury.
She graduated in 1936 from Trenton State Teachers College.
She was an elder at the Third Westminster Presbyterian Church in Elizabeth.
She was a member of the Cranford chapter of the Daughters of America and was an adult leader of the Boudinot chapter of CAR.
She was a descendent of the Rev. Abraham Pierson, founder of the Old First Presbyterian Church, Newark.
Her husband, Wilson C., died in 1996.
Surviving are a son, Dr. Barry Wilson of Tyler, Texas; a daughter, Jo Anne Shepherd of Roselle Park, and three grandchildren.
Services will be Saturday at the Third Westminster Presbyterian Church. Arrangements are by the August F. Schmidt Memorial Funeral Home, 139 Westfield Ave., Elizabeth.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Memorial Fund of the Third Westminster Presbyterian Church.
ANNA LUCKERT, AGE 88, RAHWAY

Anna Smalley Luckert died Sunday at Rahway Hospital. She was 88.
She was born in Elizabeth and lived in Rahway since 1982.
She retired in 1970 after working for the Volupte Corp., Linden, for 18 years. Before that, she worked at Union Carbide, Newark, for 18 years.
Her husband, Albert, died in 1989.
She is survived by a stepdaughter, Dorothy Tingley of Glen Cove, N.Y.; a brother, Joseph Smalley of Brooksville, Fla.; three grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Pettit-Davis Funeral Home, 371 W. Milton Ave., Rahway. Burial will be at Clover Leaf Memorial Park, Woodbridge.
ROSE A. CONNER, AGE 81, ELIZABETH

Rose Agnes Berardi Conner died Sunday at Elizabeth General Medical Center-West. She was 81.
She was born in Newark and lived most of her life in Irvington before moving to Elizabeth in 1975.
She retired in 1965 after working 20 years as a machinist for Micro Products Co. Inc., Newark.
Her husband, Alfred, died in 1970.
She is survived by two sons; Ralph DeStefano of Newark and Carl Taigel of Elizabeth; a daughter, Mary DeLago of Dunellen; a brother, Frank Berardi of the Fords section of Woodbridge; two sisters, Lucy Stizza of the Whiting section of Manchester and Josephine Glover of Harrison; four grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 8:15 a.m. Wednesday from the August J. Schmidt Memorial Funeral Home, 139 Westfield Ave., Elizabeth, followed by a 9 a.m. funeral Mass at St. Genevieve's R.C. Church, Elizabeth.
STEPHEN KAPLIN JR., AGE 82, LINDEN

Stephen Kaplin Jr. died yesterday at Elizabeth General Medical Center in Elizabeth. He was 82.
He was born in Bethlehem, Pa., and lived in Elizabeth before moving to Linden in 1932.
He was employed as a chemist, retiring in 1980 as a chief chemist from H. Kohnstamm & Co. Inc. in New York City.
He was an Army veteran of World War II.
He was a member of the American Radio Relay League.
Surviving are a brother, Philip Kaplun of Linden; four nephews, Steve, Joe, Jim and Bruce Kaplun, and 11 great-nieces and great-nephews.
Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Krowicki McCracken Funeral Home, 2124 E. St. Georges Ave., the Elizabeth-Linden city line. Cremation is at Rosehill Crematory Chapel, Linden.
